I need to get into my storage unit but because it's not in my name, although I'm an authorized user and I can prove that I am the one who had paid the unit the whole time, since I don't have the key, these people won't pop the lock. My husband and I are splitting up so of course he's not going to help me. I know they can do an exception but won't even though they know I'm not lying. I would have given 6 stars if I could. I needed some additional storage right away, and a friend had an unit here already, so I decided to give it a try. I simply could not believe how good Richard was in giving me every possible discount possible, the best unit available. He even recommended a good handyman! Paid just a dollar for the first month ($50 will all the added paraphernalia - but it is still a steal!) I agree with the other reviewers that Richard (in particular) and Walter deserve 5 stars in old-fashioned, good and sincere customer service. They make you feel like a person, a friend in need - not a serial number on a ledger. I would highly, highly recommend this place - not just for the location or price or the convenience of parking in front of the elevator, but because it has the best staff - namely Richard and Walter. read more

I cannot tell you what a wonderful experience I had with Sunnyvale Public Storage. Richard and Walter were great. They helped me to get the perfect rental space. Richard really went out of his way to find the space closest to the elevator for me and to make sure that it was the right size for my needs. This is really nice storage facility and it's conveniently located. It has climate control, good lighting, very safe (you need a code to get in the building plus the key to your storage). The staff is also very friendly and helpful. There are always carts at the door to load your things. read more
