Could use a couple of extra carts but my stuff stayed safe and secure while it was here. I left because the rates are outrageous. read more

They don't respect your time. This is the second time we were told to meet them at our "appointment" time and they never showed.

Great customer service at this location is non existent . my rent increased without notice and I called to ask why . No one answered the phone , so I left a brief voicemail requesting a call back . A couple minutes later I received a text message message stating " PUBLIC STORAGE: Sorry, we cannot lower your monthly rent at this time. If you need a lower-cost space, please contact us at ..." couldnt reply to the message . I never even asked them to lower my rent . Called them back 4 times and left an additional voicemail requesting the manager to call back . They never did . I decided to cancel my unit . I will be moving not because of the price increases but because they ignore and avoid you when you try to speak to someone. read more

Mitzy is simple the best. She is hard working, kind, smart and helpful. Wish I could give her 20 stars. After a flood we needed to store things quickly. We had no idea how it worked or what size was needed. She was super helpful and knew so much. What a relief to find an expert and true professional. Moving in and out of a storage area is never easy, but she is there to make it more comfortable. She knows so much about storage from boxes and tape and how to best do things. The units are clean and really tall. They even volunteered to sweep the floor and take out the garbage when I changed from one unit to the next. Take out your garbage for you? Who gives such attentive and generous service? She even remembered my name when I would come around to make monthly payments!! How often does that happen? The rates go up, just a little, after 6 months or so, as this is an industry wide trend. Just so you know. Be sure to double check the daily rate when moving from unit to another. I thought it was $3 a day and my five days would turn out to be $15 but it came to $46. I should have double checked and clarified the per day charge. Disappointing but not enough to change the rating. Excellent Covid-19 cleaning and policies.They really do care about you and your stuff. Mitzy is awesome. I will never recommend this place. So sad that public storage don't care about their customer, we store are stuff after moving from oklahoma but when we are about to get are stuff there is barely left on us, with the 24 hour surveillance camera from the ads give us peace of mind not to get insurance since we are low on budget. After all the report that we made police report and everything else it stop on that. The only thing they we told you we can not do anything about it. I hope someone can help me do something about this. For sure i am not the only one who experienced this situation . My husband and I work hard to buy some stuff for our family but just gone like this.. read more

I have never had such great customer service by someone at a storage place. I highly recommend this place. It's very clean and secure. The price of my unit was lower than many other facilities. I got a space here probably 15 years ago because it was close to work. I rented another 2.5 years ago because it's close to home. Price increases are to be expected, but I almost fell off my feet last week: 10%? You've got to be kidding me. Move-out date has been scheduled. Be warned, consumers - I did a google search, and Public Storage **does not** prorate for your final month, so get those belongings out on the last day of the month! read more

I made a reservation on 9/11/19 to move in on 9/24/19. I called up to confirm what they need and they said it was cancelled! I did not cancel it and they would not reschedule me for the rate I booked for. I spoke to a Karen which was not helpful. I called up corporate and they said I could re-book but not at the rate I booked for.. Forget Public Storage. Bait and switch with the reserved rate I made. read more

There are a dollies to use which makes life SO much easier (especially since my unit it not on the ground floor), and the customer service is impeccable. Chrissy has been a HUGE help with everything! We are using Public Storage for the first time and took some of our stuff there last Wednesday. The staff were having a meeting, so instead of waiting we easily followed directions on our confirmation and got all the way up to our unit without any assistance. It is so simple! The whole place is pristine and sparkly clean. We loved that they had some flatbed carts available to use. When we finished, we met Mitzi in the office. She was very cheerful and totally professional, showing us the way through their app and how to open the gate and doors without even getting out of the car. We were able to get supplies like packing tape, bubble wrap and all sizes of boxes. I highly recommend this facility! read more

DON'T RENT FROM MACOMB MICHIGAN LOCATION!!! Rented a unit online because I figured they used to be Beyond Storage and were excellent. Such is not the case anymore. The main entry garage door has been broken for 6 weeks and is still not working, the place is dirty and not kept up at all. Very dissatisfied. Waiting for responses from Corporate but highly unlikely I will be getting any. Office person did not seem concerned about the door either. I am looking for a new storage unit because this one is not acceptable. read more

Hey so you wanna pay money to put all your most valuable possessions in a storage unit held up literally by screws with a metal door and lock on it? Then this is the place to go.This would be zero stars if such a thing existed, I cannot emphasize more about how horrible this place is. I rented from here for about a year and a half. Sadly the security is really poor. There are no video cameras here. My unit ended up getting robbed and everything of value was taken, old laptops, important papers, collectable Barbie dolls and some sentimental items. I could not understand how this had happened since my lock was not broken and the customer service did not seem to care or thought I was an idiot because of this. They would not even file an incident report unless I filed a police report. I then filed a police report and they still did not file a report. I decided to move out do to this. As I was moving out I noticed the wall in the back that separated my unit from the neighboring unit was loose. I pushed it open and peeked inside and noticed some of my belongings in that unit. I then called the police and reported it to the front desk. I was then taken more seriously. I am hugely disappointed by how cheaply made the units were and how easily broken into this was. All it took was a screwdriver and nothing all that sophisticated. The customer service did not follow protocol in filing an incident report. The Torrance Police were good at investigating the case. They did make an arrest and funny enough the thief in question even said that he chose Public Storage facilities because of their lack of security. The truth is I was lucky enough to have been around my storage unit frequently enough to notice things that were missing. The thief was taking advantage of the first month's move in special and banking on robbing someone who did not frequent the unit and then vacate asap. Unbeknownst to him I was in the process of moving and noticed things asap before he could vacate which is how the police discovered his identity. I still did not get most of my things back tho. Bottom line is this place is terrible and I would not advise renting from them at any cost. Look at the photos I posted of the aftermath of the break in. It gives you a very good view of how thin the walls are that separate the units. These are things they are definitely not sharing with you when they are trying to sell you storage space. Definitely check the walls of your storage units if you choose to rent from one. If anyone of you have also been robbed at this location. I was price shopping for a storage space, something small, enough for some boxes, a few odds and ends nothing big. I've never stored before so shopping around was a new experience. I have seen the Public Storage commercials and ads then decided to check them out. It was nice looking, but kind of a smaller storage facility. I liked it, seemed more personal. The staff greeted the returning customers by name and were genuinely friendly. The whole place was clean compared to other places I had checked out before them. They have a few different types of doors and the layout wasnt too crazy. Inside the storage space was just that, storage space. Drywall and wood pretty much the same as everywhere else I had shopped. I saw the previous yelp reviews and was kind of hesitant but going in, seeing the place, and talking with the staff made me more at ease with the place. Bad things happen everywhere and I would trust my stuff here. The prices were good! Thanks for the help ladies!! read more

I have rented a storage unit for over 5 years and today we finally vacated it. The 2 states are for the cleanliness and security of the facility. The friendliness/helpfulness of the staff depends on who you have in front of you, some very nice and helpful and some very rude and lazy. The reason I docked 3 stars is for all the issues I had trying to vacate my storage. First issue was when I attempted to vacate months ago, the lock was rusted and the key broke off in the lock. I had to wait several days for the regional manager to come cut the lock. This put me out money for my Uhaul for that day, plus several more months of storage payments due to my work schedule and availability of people to help me. Oh, they also wanted to charge me $30 for a new lock, I did not pay, instead I "arranged" for them to put a temporary lock in until I could vacate. Finally, today I get another Uhaul and head down to vacate.... get there and guess what? The elevator is temporarily out of service, and yes I am on the 3rd floor. The girl at the front says she will find out when someone is coming to fix it, but she never came back, she just waited in the office for us to come find her and ask if she had done what she promised. I could not let another day/money go down the drain because the lack of efficiency of these people, so we buckled down and carried everything, down 4 flights of stairs to get the heck out of there and be done with this place. Definitely got my workout in. On the way out we stopped to get our receipt and then the front desk woman says "oh the elevators are closed because the city made us shut the down due to COVID" I just about lost my shit because FYI none of the elevators on the other buildings were "shut down due to COVID." This is the courtesy they give to loyal customers of years! It's a joke, find yourself a privately owned and operated storage facility from someone who takes pride in their business and cares about their customers. read more

I've been renting storage space here for 3 years. The rent was going up each year to the point that I was considering downsizing and shopping around for storage facilities. While I was there going through my things, I came across Chrissy in the hallway. She introduced herself and told me if there's anything she could help with, just come and talk to her. Timing was perfect. I told her about my situation. She assessed my needs (now and future). Then showed me a couple of storages and made recommendations and told me to let her know whenever I am ready. She was so friendly and helpful, I ended up moving to a new unit on the same day. My rent went down more than half with this move. She saved me lots of money. She was also right about the storage size. New unit is perfect for my needs. Made reservation online with contactless move in on Sun. My access code did not work, office was closed but I called the 800 # and after a quick account reset my code worked. This is an older facility kept very clean. Its located on a highly trafficked street so upon red lights card get to watch you unload your life. Doors close quickly, narrow hallways and dollies readily available describe my experience. Unfortunately 3 floors up, I wasn't paying attention.....im glad its month to month. read more

We needed a place to put stuff in while we clean our garage and in the end leave stuff in the storage to keep our garage clean, came by to see the space Public Storage had to offer so we can finalize if we wanted a 5x15 or a 5x10 space. Glad we did came to see cause we might've have ended up over sizing up in the storage room we needed, Kody, the on-site staff that day, was a big help! Everything was done in one day and just under an hour, we were hauling up boxes to our storage room the same day. read more

My rent term ended in April 2018 & after 10+ calls to Araceli (regional manager), I have yet to hear back from anyone despite my account being charged every month. These charges have unfairly gone to collections. All efforts to correct this issue have come from my end, exclusively. Do not work with this company. read more

I am very disappointed with the staff and their payment procedure and policy. I am new to storage unit and was charged a late payment fee when I did not receive a bill informing me of payment. Tho next thing you know, I got an email where I am charged a late payment fee plus preliminary lien notice. Especially when all last week we were all in lock down due to covid19 as well as my children on self quarantine from schools. I did not receive any call even tho Francine said a call was made. Francine is very being rude and accusing me for talking too much when I was trying to explain my situation as a small business owner whom also needed to deal with being at home as well as with children at home from self qurantine. It is very disappointing and sad to find this is how Public Storage and staff are doing this during these challenging times. We arrived from out-of-state a day early and they accommodated an early move-in. Mitzi was professional and reviewed or contract clearly.

Worst management. The girls who work there are nice and try to provide good service but any and all issues had to go through management who would never respond. I had a ton of issues with billing and if they screwed up and over charged me, it took weeks to resolve but they had no issues just declining any requests to resolve my concerns. There is never any carts available as they are locked up and if they take a lunch break or out on the property you are screwed. My monthly fee was hiked up within 6 months of moving in and when I asked for a promotion, considering all the mistakes that were made on their billing part, they declined. Even though this location is literally across the street from my house and very convenient location wise, I took my business to life storage. Much better facility overall and service is great! read more

I called around for price comparison of other facilities and decided to use this facility because it was physically close. Mitzi was a no-nonsense employee, who got the job done. She could have been more personable, for my taste. She was not rude, just very businesslike. Seemed like every sentence was selling something: insurance, boxes, packing tape, ... The unit was 10x30, very clean, and I could back up to it to unload. You are required to use their lock (which you pay for). Access to this unit was 24 hours because it was outside the gates. read more
