First time user of a storage facility. I was in a rush to find a suitable place, at a reasonable price. Rented my space back in May, got a deal on the first month, due to an ongoing sale at the time. Not happy about needing a storage unit, but the convenience and location were perfect. I don't remember the staff member I dealt with, but she was extremely helpful in explaining the lease, and answered every question with patience and a smile. In July, I had a question about an additional, unexpected charge. I spoke with "Kim," and she was very pleasant, and explained the reason for the added fee. She also said she would check with her District Manager, and see if they could waive the fee for me, and that she would get back to me within a day or so (it was a Thursday). I hadn't heard anything by Monday, so I decided to stop by, and check in with "Kim." I was met with the RUDEST customer service rep I have ever seen - in ANY company. He claimed I was interrupting his lunch (at 5pm), I gave him my name and unit number to look up, and offered to explain my conversation with "Kim," so he would be up-to-date on my situation. "I don't need to hear your situation," was his response. "You don't even want to know what I'm asking about?" "No." I continued, "Kim said she was going to chat with your DM and get back to me about...." He cut me off, and stated, "I don't care WHO said what, or WHO you talked with, the DM will say exactly what I'm saying. SUCK IT UP and just pay your bill. You're NOT getting a refund of any kind." Now, Get out, I'm DONE with you." Wow. So unnecessarily rude. I politely asked for his name, he pulled his name badge toward me and gave me his name. I called the DM, once I found her number, and she was horrified at my story. She could not have been more apologetic. When I had been finally kicked out, I went to my car, and wrote down our entire conversation, so I wouldn't forget anything. I read it all to her. She couldn't believe what he had done, and how he acted. "This is NOT how we train our employees." I told her, he needs to be retrained, reprimanded, or replaced. She gave me an incentive to stay with PS, refunded the fee he claimed she would never refund, and made a make-good on the situation that was more than acceptable. Recently, I was back to remove some things, and bumped into "Kim," again. She didn't know that I had been the one who complained about her co-worker, or that I had given her a glowing review to management. She was simply being herself, and greeted me warmly, with a "Hi, doll. How are you? What can I help you with today?" Today, I was back again, paying a bill, and met "Tony." A guy about my age, who was on the phone when I walked in. He immediately said, "let me call you back, I have a customer who just walked in. Hi, sir, how can I help you today?" Extremely friendly, upbeat, relaxed, and helped with everything I needed help with. We ended up just chatting about life for a few minutes, and had some laughs, and enjoyed the conversation. Perfect Customer Service. So, although I had an absolutely horrific experience with ONE employee back in July (who apparently still works there, so I won't mention his name, I'll let management figure it out), I decided to stay as a customer. Why? Because of people like the DM (whose name escapes me at the moment - sry!),"Kim," and "Tony." All were courteous, helpful, understanding, funny, and polite. Exactly what Customer Service reps are supposed to be like. If management is reading, they all deserve recognition, or a raise. They are the reason for my high rating, and the reason I am still a customer. Thank you, DM, "Kim," and "Tony." read more

called this location multiple times and left messages, but never received a call back. I finally drove to the facility hoping to speak with someone in person, only to find that no one was there. I then called the national customer service number and was told someone from the location would call me within 10 minutes. That call never came either. Beyond the lack of responsiveness, the property itself appeared very run-down and unclean. In the end, I feel this was a blessing in disguise because I would not feel comfortable storing nice or valuable belongings here. I have used the other location in Weymouth on Main Street. It is a little more expensive, but I have never had concerns about cleanliness or the condition of the facility. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend storing nice belongings at this location. read more

Yes we all know that Jussara is the shining star of this location. She was very nice. However there were Too many disgusting and dangerous flaws with this location! I have a ton of pictures to show how derelict the management is at taking care of this property. It was very unsafe and the back sliding door didn't close for at least 2 weeks in the end of December 2024-Jan 1 2025. The door was stuck open all day and night. As seen in my pictures. The elevator inspection was overdue and quite expired! I mentioned it to a lady at the desk and she said she is aware of that. There is parking spaces for 2 vehicles Only near Each of the two doors! There was only one dolly to bring your things into each un inspected elevator. So if there was another car or truck filled with trash to bring up by some Very Toothless residents, you'd have to wait for them to finish. But there's no room to park and if someone new comes you have to let them know you're next for the orange dolly. There was Zero lighting in the back of the bldg! So when you left the security of your car, you couldn't see even the key pad to punch your numbers in to exit the property. The app didn't work many times so you'd have to walk up to the keypad, and put your flashlight on and also punch numbers and Run back into your car to flee the garbage dump. Speaking of which, when I got to the 4th floor every single time, there was another huge piece of discarded furniture or child's large play item. Downstairs and outside? Well that's where the disgusting residents decided it was too far gone and broken down or Ruined for even Them to keep so they just Dumped it there. That's right. One trash receptacle, filled to the Brim and over the fence surrounding the garbage pile and To my astonishment-many things were thrown over their property fence into an abandoned wooded area behind the storage property totally encroached on a neighboring property. The ceiling became soo humid that water dripped from the steel beams above and made my boxes in my unit Soaked. I was in this unit for 6 months and I could say it is completely disgusting and unsafe. Please look to my pictures as guides for Not coming here. I went to Castle Storage and I love Every aspect of that facility. Sure the price is higher, but you've Got to do that to keep the low class slobs out. read more

This storage property is horrible! Do not rent here the location is awful there is one place to park. The building is hot and unclean. No one from the office will get back to you. Public storage has a policy that they don't budge on. That's great, if your going to be a company that's going to stay firm on your policy, customers can go to the millions of other storage places out there. Public storage will eventually go out of business hopefully! Care about you customers! Happy to never do business with you again. read more

My daughter made a reservation for a small storage room at the end of September. A few days later, before she went to the facility and before she picked up the keys, she called and let them know that she no longer needed the space. She was told that there would be a $29 administration fee that she would need to pay and the reservation would be canceled. I called on October 5th and was told her account was closed and there would be NO charge. She was charged $175 the following week. When I called on October 10th I was told again that the account was closed and they would credit her account less the $29 administration fee. They did not credit her account and are now refusing to speak with me. Beware of this company! They are not honest. read more

STAY AWAY. I should have read these bad yelp reviews 1st. I would have gone to another storage place especially after I got hung up on 5 times. showed up at Weymouth location with my movers and a moving truck. The Office was closed. Nobody answers my frantic phone or emails while i am outside waiting. This cost me an extra $400 to pay movers for overtime. I finally got a callback from Tim in there office at 5PM. Explaining the prop mgr was sick and did not show up. I later learned she lives on site. Very unprofessional. Go to Public Storage in Quincy. Alicia is the prop mgr there, She is 5 star. read more

Do not rent a storage unit here. There is no one on site and when you call the number on the door, which I did twice and left messages no one called me back -- it's been three hours. Also my unit was on the 5th floor - there were two elevators and no button for a fifth floor only went to 4. Plus as a woman, it didn't seem safe or clean. The entrance is in the back by a chain link fence that has garbage strewn along it. read more

I want to start with how WOW'd I am with the level of customer support, knowledge and most of all compassion I received from Capree She must of heard the stress in my voice when she called me to confirm (less then 30min after making reservation by the way serious points there) or in my face when I arrived... after we exchanged pleasantries she said something that changed my entire outlook for today and the sincerity in it all "If your coming to us, your already stressed were not trying to make worse " those words as random and meaningless to some were what I NEEDED to hear ... on top of that I got a great unit at a great price and it took less then 15min and had a random stranger completely change my mind set on this situation Thank you to Public storage (Weymouth Ma) and even more so to Capree!!! The director Tim, was the most helpful and best experience I had with Public Storage, by a country mile. If everyone were like Tim, I would have rented there forever. Corporate should try to be more like Tim. He was the best part of renting from there. However, the rest of the corporate team was not helpful, and raised my rates when they explicitly said they would not. If Tim opened up his own storage space, I would rent from him. Easy to locate and access staff not very helpful when checking in or letting you know where your storage unit is.

I have used several Public Storage facilities in the past. This is the worst I've experienced. They raised my rent 4 times in the past 2 years with the last being $32 per month which is 12.7% to the rate. The 2020 inflation rate is 0.64% to put it in perspective. The bathroom looks like something out of a horror movie where the person doesn't make it out alive and the landscaping is horrible. Also, all the carts are beat up as well as the entry doors. Pointing this out is to illustrate they are not putting any of the money back into the property, but into their pockets. I asked 6 times to speak the to the District Managers Matt and Lyndon and never received a call from them. Appears to be the eventually the person will stop calling and give up and we will make our money approach. Sad how poor the customer service and tone deaf greed is evident. read more

Unit was dirty, dead rodents, cobwebs, and not climate controlled as advertised. Since I reserved the unit online prior to seeing it in person, they charged me for the unit and was not able to be reimbursed as promised at check out. read more

Place is decent & my belongings were kept safe. My only issue ( which is kind of huge ).... This place doesn't open til 930 on the weekends. You can't use your code and access your storage unit til after office opens. Kind of late in the morning to get started if you are moving with such little time of day light in the winter. You should be able to get into your unit at 8am at least..... read more

Make sure you don't rent from these guys. They tell you you have access to amenities such as a bathroom but it's locked and you have to beg for the keys. I saw some rodent droppings in my unit and now I'm afraid to bring the items to my home a possibility create an infestation. The frosting on the cake was today when I was charged a $77 late fee. Just rented. It's decent. I am concerned that the rear gate did not close behind me, securing the units. Additionally, I am concerned that some of the doors that require codes were opened and anyone could access. Do not use this location! I have been a loyal customer for over two years and in those two years they have more than tripled the rate of my unit and they give you less then three weeks notice of the price increase. My entire experience has been exhausting. I moved on to a new unit space with hopes to have a convenient and easy storage experience but it is practically a full time job keeping up with their fine print. This company will take you for everything you have. Only pro is that the people that actually work at the location are wonderful, I feel so bad for them that they have to work for such a disgusting company. I would not recommend using this place to my worst enemy, their fine print scams are set up to steal your money. If you are considering using them, DO NOT, there are so many better options I the area!!! read more

I had to abruptly plan a long distance move, from start to finish, within 12 days. When the UHaul Storage of North Hanover failed us on a monumental level (and on moving day no less! UHaul had no problem with turning good business away at the very last second, despite carrying a reservation for a good amount of time--and while we were already on our way driving from NYC at that), Alex and the Public Storage team went above and beyond to save the day. UHaul seriously did not even try to accomodate their customers and PS did a 180 by providing top knotch assistance. After hearing my situation, not only did PS stay open an hour later to meet us, but I also locked in an even better rate than UHaul. Plus I gained added features like climate control and $1 for the first month. What amazing customer service. Thanks so much Alex and PS! Glad we were able to go with you guys instead. Public storage is a good facility, but Tim is the man that makes it great. I spoke with him on several occasions to find the best unit for my needs. This storage facility is filthy and has rodent issues. Also, they claim it is climate controlled but it is not. When I spoke to the attendant working at the facility and asked why there is never any air conditioning when I stopped by in the summer, she said they only provide heat in the winter time but not air conditioning in the summer. I then questioned her about then how can you advertise that the unit is climate controlled, which you pay an additional fee, and she responded with a smirk that it is climate controlled because they provide heat in the winter. Of course, my furniture is not going to mildew because of no heat in the winter. When I also stopped by one day to pick up some items in July 2021, a woman was moving her furniture from her rented unit and informed me she had substancial damage to her furniture due to mice and said she would be seeking reimbursement because she paid for insurance, good luck. You are better off paying a higher price at a better maintained storage unit that has true climate control. read more

Just called to ask some simple questions and the guy on the phone was SUPER pushy. He made me a reservation even though I told him I wanted to rent online because it is less money online. He said there is only one unit available and because I started the process on the phone by asking SIMPLE question the online option for 12 dollars less per month disappeared. Such shady business practice left a bad taste in my mouth so I won't be giving public storage my business. read more

I imagine the clothing moths and pantry moths which absolutely invaded by belongings flew in from the top of my storage unit- which is open to everyone else's storage unit on the entire floor via a 2 foot wide gap connecting them all. The many gaps along the metal front of the unit also seem to allow the other critters to enter, including tobacco beetles and a wide variety of spiders. These units are essentially sharing the space of everyone else's items, and are subject to whatever has come in with them, in addition to all of the existing critters, including the mice and rats you will see traps for around every corner. My complaints were not met with support and I was left to use a wide variety of pest deterrents until I could move everything. Then, to be on the safe side with these extremely difficult-to-eradicate insects, much of my things still had to be thrown away. You are better off giving your things away now than leaving them here for any amount of time. read more

I can't say enough good things about this Public Storage location! I visited the facility twice before renting and met two representatives Beatrice & Emmanuel, they were both extremely professional (helpful) and answered a barrage of questions. The units are clean and easily accessible. After renting & moving I met Property Manager Wes and it was clear the level of service ran from the top down! It's a "boutique" office, I bought several items and days later I returned a few, every aspect of customer service was smooth as butter and these days I appreciate professionalism. My only criticism is a lack of outdoor lighting & what's up with the trash bins, don't trust us? While I'm giving reviews; Initially I visited the Public Storage across town and had a completely different experience. Wes probably deserves a Regional Manager position to assist "the other" location/s. Try this location first you won't be disappointed on service or selection. read more

Can I give zero or negative stars? For those who can't get on board with the whole tidying/Japanese "konmari" purging trend, sometimes storage is an unfortunate necessity. Well, it is until the storage company fraudulently steals from you by selling your prized possessions without any reason or notice. If you MUST begin digging yourself into the self-storage hole STAY AWAY from Public Storage: seriously look into Fetch-- they were amazing for years. Left them to work with Public Storage-- who are now with NO written notice-- and a phone call less than 18 hours prior-- auctioning a unit. Good business for them, yes? Completely criminal? Also yes.
