I'm really not sure about this place. I've came here a lot because i'm right beside it daily. So I often stop in for grub and maybe a Star Bucks. Honestly it's really hit and miss on the customer service. I have either had great or poor. No in between. I'm not a fan of the pricing here, it really seems higher than the other grocery stores and they do not have sales. With that said, the store is super clean, even the bathrooms. The bakery has pretty decent pricing on cakes. They also have a killer Italian sandwich in the grab and go, it totally kills my hunger. The hot bar never really looks appetizing, and for them to be right beside a large apartment complex I would think they would do a bit better on selection. The Star Bucks here is weird, I really try not to use it and go to a "real Star Bucks". They def have plenty of parking as there are two levels. It's pretty easy to navigate too. read more

I come to Publix often and get the subs and grocery shop. I have had excellent food and groceries shopping experience but the older lady who works in the subs and sometimes deli is so RUDE! Makes me not want to even come because I just hope she wont make my sandwich. I'm defiantly not the only one who notices this. read more

This Publix location is my favorite!! It's got EVERYTHING. It also has a Starbucks and cup holders in your shopping cart so you can just make yourself at home and enjoy your Sunday shopping haul. The staff is so friendly and helpful as well! Great deals at this location! read more

I love Publix. I have never experienced shopping here to recently and I am obsessed. Everyone is very friendly. I don't think I've passed one employee who didn't say hello to me. First and last time at Publix. I moved down to Charlotte from upstate NY, and there are no Publix stores there. I have heard only amazing things about Publix, but also that it was very expensive to shop there. I received coupons for $10 off of $50 and figured it wouldn't be too difficult to surpass the $50 mark at this store, so I took a trip. When I entered the store there were no feelings of amazement, excitement, uniqueness, or anything of the like. It simply looked like a really big, brand new grocery store. My first stop was the produce section. Major disappointment here. Most of the produce was bruised, mushy, cut, and extremely over priced. Next stop was the meat department for chicken breasts. I could not believe my eyes at the prices. $4.50 for chicken breasts is astronomical. Passed on the chicken. The only good deal I found was 10 for $10 Greek yogurts. Barilla pasta was $1.55/box, and the specialty Barilla pastas were 2/$5. Not worth that price any day of the week. My purchase included four beefsteak tomatoes, three bell peppers ($3.99/lb loose, $4.99/lb prepackaged), 10 yogurts, an Old El Paso enchilada kit, low fat small curd cottage cheese, nectarines, two bags of Italian mix salad, box of 4 nestle breakfast shakes, bunch of bananas, four cheese blend Mexican cheese, 18 pack of eggs, bottle of Arm and Hammer laundry detergent ($6.99), matchstick carrots, ground turkey, small container of sour cream, and a $9.99 bottle of wine. My total was $75.90. After the $10 off $50 that brought it down to $65.90. Definitely on the higher end for really not a lot of food. Checking out was horrendous. The woman is front of me was paying with something other than cash or card, not sure what it was. The problem was that it took 10 minutes and 5 employees to figure out how to ring her up. I would have gone to another register, but I had already loaded the conveyor belt with all of my groceries, and also wanted to see how the employees would resolve the problem, and if anyone would notice how long I was waiting. One guy came by and said sorry for making you wait. I guess that addresses my long wait. Finally after cashing out, an employee pushed my cart to the elevator for me. That was kind and I assumed it was because of how long I was waiting. The employee rode the elevator down with me, and proceeded to push my cart to my car. Very awkward situation. Luckily my car was not too far from the elevator. This was appreciated, but I would rather push my own cart to my car, and have that employee assist a customer who could better use this kind of service. Between the the prices, lack of quality, long wait to check out, and the awkward cart escorting, I will not be returning to Publix. I can fill a cart at Trader Joes with much more and much better products for the same cost or less. I would even rather go to Harris Teeter to pay less and get a higher quality, faster shopping experience. If anyone wants the rest of my $10 off $50 coupons let me know. read more

I'm from Florida, I've only really know Publix, Winn Dixie and Albertsons (sniffle). Now, let me just say I am a convert to *gasp* Ingals. But I guess they're not so much into the urban game, Sniffle again. Publix!! I missed ya, your deli subs are awesome as usual. Your store is clean and bright and shiny. You have a fabu selection of UK stuff ( 'ello mushy peas and Devonshire cream), and your stock people are always so friendly it boarders on stalking. Meat is the usual, thank gawd for Greenwise and the vast array of cheese is heavenly. Only issue...is my own. I'm a little vertically challenged and when I finally parked in the garage, went to the elevator and no where did it tell me on what floor Publix was on. I know, sounds stupid but jeeze could they just put a little green P next to the button? read more

To say that this location is "cramped" would be an understatement! The parking lot is like a "U" shape that goes tightly around the Publix itself with parking underneath. It sits very closely to the porches of a high rise apartment building so you're trying to dodge people walking their dogs etc. while you hunt for a parking space. Then there's the people begging money and the uncomfortable ride from the parking lot up into the store with people you don't know and that could be from anywhere close by with any motive for being in the area. I guess it would be alright for people that are walking to the store, but that would also include those from the Remount Road area. Nah, I'm not at all a fan of this store and I'll go out of my way to not visit again. read more

I am very underwhelmed with this store. The are known for really great customer service and this location is lackluster at best. I'm not sure if they just got ex-Harris Teeter employees (who tend to be pretty surly) or if they have just changed their practices, but I am disappointed. 1st visit and it's an overall thumb up. I always like underground/deck parking - no worry about hot seat in summer or rainy days. Plenty of parking spaces (and big ones too) while I went at lunch. I wasn't doing grocery shopping, so my review is a little "skewed" I supposed. I mainly just went for the salad bar - which is pretty small. But good meat quality (better than HT, it's the good turkey and ham slices). However the dressing selection is slim picking. No fruity vinaigrette at all. I went with Greek. $6.99/lb is reasonably priced, my salad came to be $3.33. I like that they have sample cups out for their soups, but $3.49 for a small container is a little steep. Hot bar looked ok, $6.99/lb as well, and mostly Chinese to-go food (not sure if they switch out daily). I was surprised at how small the meat & seafood department are. Overall it's just a normal supermarket as far as I can tell, even though everyone was very much aniticipating this store opening. I think this makes a great lunch spot for me, since now I don't have to drive all the way down to HT on East for a salad bar. AND I like their "Apron" section, where they do all-day cooking demo (and offer free sample of food) and have free recipe cards. Solid 3.5 stars - rounding up to 4 read more

Best Publix that's I've been to in the area. I was a bit confused having to park in a parking garage and then take an elevator to a grocery store, but after that it was smooth sailing. The layout is much better than the one in Cornelius. I saw a sign on the window that mentioned a maple bacon donut, and when I asked the person working in the bakery about it he said it was only available in the cafe after 4 PM. This place is ok, but it's just a grocery store. The hype surrounding it when it opened was nauseating. The selection and prices are no better than Harris Teeter, but it serves a great purpose in the neighborhood. The grocery is awesome! DO NOT visit the Starbucks unless you're getting black coffee. They were out of cold brew and it took 20 minutes to get a smoothie. Their employees definitely need more training. At least the bananas were fresh. read more

We ordered a cake for an event with a scheduled pickup at 1 pm. Not only was the cake not ready at the scheduled time, but the customer service was awful. We received no call to tell us our order was running behind; no apology was given; it appeared as though they had not even started on the cake; and the employee "helping" us was both rude and abrasive. We had no choice but to cancel our order and show up at the event empty-handed. Very disappointing experience. read more

Store is amazing but has a couple major drawbacks which I'm going to talk about! One brand new store and THEY HAVE NO STAIRS TO THE PARKING GARAGE! That blew my mind. We have to wait for elevators when we shop! The other gripe was 2xs I went to buy milk and it was expiring the next day and I ended up getting it because I really needed it. Publix is a great grocery store. The quality is high but the prices can be too. I look for their BOGO deals. Each item scans at 50% off, so you don't have to buy two! I always stop by their deli to get weekly specials on Boar's Head deli meats and cheese. Also, if you haven't had a sandwich from them make sure you check out the weekly deal! You can even order online. All the employees are super friendly and always helpful. read more

I have spent between $100-$200 weekly at Publix for a couple months and unfortunately have purchased many items that were expired or were going to expire a day or two after purchase. I just pulled my yogurt out for lunch and noticed it expired a month ago when I only bought it a few days ago. I have had this problem with their bread, milk, yogurt, and beef. I typically check expiration dates, but sometimes all they have is products which expire the next day. I have thrown away a significant amount of expired food. read more

I've always been a Harris Teeter guy. When they built the Publix across the street from my house I immediately fell in love. Until today. I waited in line for what seemed like an eternity. The staff was everything but professional at the check out. I cannot explain my frustration. Instead of walking 3 minutes to Publix I will continue to get in my car suffer through traffic and drive 10 minutes both ways to Harris Teeter. The meat department is also better at HT. I usually have a great experience at this location but last night was a different story. I used the self checkout lane and as soon as the employee in that area noticed I had coupons in my hands it was a problem! She immediately made a comment about the coupons especially since I had a digital coupon in addition to the two that were in my hands. She even went as far as going to speak with her manager and when she returned she said she had to override my coupon.....seriously! I purchased two packs of Charmin essential toilet tissue and I had one paper coupon and one digital coupon. I don't understand what the problem was but I wish Publix would take the time to educate that their employees on how coupons are used. I was highly annoyed and frustrated with my experience and I'm not sure if I will ever return to this location, I usually go to this location because it's the closest Publix to my house. read more

Publix. One of my favorite stores. Ever. Every chance I get, when I'm fortunate enough to be in a city with Publix Supermarket, I have to stop. The stores are awesome. Clean. Bright. Wide aisles. People who work here are friendly. The prices are great. The deli. Oh my goodness the deli. They have amazing delicious subs that they make custom orders. They have delicious fried chicken. The best cheddar cheese spread and the absolute best hands down key lime pie. I've tried a lot of key lime pie in my time and this is hands down the best. This store sells by the slice which is awesome. The Publix brand of ice cream is also the best. Butter pecan out of this world and they always have speciality flavors that are dynamite. I can't say enough great things about this store. Shop here. You will love it too. This store has a specialty cheese shop with a wine store located inside the store. Delightful. read more

Had a fraudulent transaction from the publix at 2222 south blvd in Charlotte. Apparently someone stole our information along with multiple other people and purchased money orders from this store. We were told by the clerk at this store that they aren't allowed to ask for identification and that they don't question suspicious transactions. We also asked if they were going to file a police report or take any action to identify the other people that were victimized in this transaction and they told us that is not something they do. They said that those other people would need to find out about the charges on their own and pursue it. Our bank account was drained and the employees at this store were no help and not even empathetic to our situation. I would say if these employees weren't involved in the criminal activity they were at the least an accessory to the crime through negligence, willingly or not. We now have zero money and have to wait 48-72 hours for our bank to complete their investigation and put our money back. We have no way to purchase the diapers or baby formula for our 8 month old that we were on our way to get from our neighborhood publix when we discovered this fraudulent charge. I use to shop at Publix in Atlanta, GA and it was fantastic then. I am so glad that they have moved to Charlotte. Employees are always smiling, asking you how you are doing or if they can help you find anything? Publix can be a little more expenisve but I'd rather spend the money at a place that is clean and with people that treat me with some respect. Harris Teeter needs to be very scared, espcially now that there is a Publix moving across the street from Harris Teeter in Cotswald. The Harris Teeter employees barely speak to you, so maybe they will get their acts together when Publix finally arrives. read more

I was excited when this opened because it is a haul to get to Whole Foods. After shopping here, I will NEVER shop at another Harris Teeter in Charlotte. The produce is exceptional, I actually feel like I can buy meat and fish that is edible, the staff is friendly, and when you compare the price point to HT... Publix is about 50 cents to 1$ cheaper per item. Better quality, better prices, and friendlier staff. read more

very rude customer service this girl was about my age I'm about 22 and the girl was like having some type of personal issues towards me because I had a camera in my hand which I was taking selfies and minding my business I looked at a cake and she kept staring at me and then asked me to put my camera away and say no pictures and literally she kept staring at me talking with this other girl went in a mean girl sort of way and got the manager to even go up cheer Lee interrogating me asking me why I'm taking pictures and I said it's for fun because most people take pictures right? After living in FL for 8 years, I was kinda sad when I moved to Charlotte and found out that my options were Food Lion (can be sketchy), Harris Teeter (super pricey), or Trader Joes (good but not for everything). Then I saw the sign that Publix was coming soon, while that did take 2 years, I was so happy when the doors opened. People thought I was crazy to like a grocery store this much, but it really is a wonderful grocery store. They have a wonderful selection without over crowding the aisle/floor layout. They make some wonderful pastries and back goods. Lastly they make a killer sandwhich because they have wonderful deli meat. On top of great products, the people are so friendly, shopping here really is a pleasure. read more

Nice clean store, staff are always friendly. Parking isn't a problem, even at peak times. There is some parking on south Blvd and also on the side of the building by the apartments. The rest of the parking is in the garage, which is really nice. Keeps your car cool and has been helpful with all these summer storms. Just note which level you parked on. Staff will help you with your groceries and often times give you a coupon for something free if they help you to your car. Sales are on par with Harris teeter. I do prefer their meat here due to wide selection of more natural raised meat rather than conventional meat. read more

This location is by far the best grocery store in all of Charlotte. Coming from the north and missing Wegmans, this place is second best! Best customer service, best produce by far, best prepared foods and their sub shop is fantastic. Not to mention their prices are very competitive and you don't need a "card" or a membership to get the discounts! I would drive an hour to get to this location if needed, glad it's close by! I was getting so sick of Teeter and am happy I no longer have to go there! They are always sampling something too! read more

Really good grocery store! Once this place opened up, we stopped going to the Food Lion close by and exclusively shop at Public now. I love how clean the store is and how friendly the staff is. My only major complaint is that some of the prices are a bit high and they don't have steps to the grocery store from the parking deck. If I am in a rush it is really annoying to have to wait for their slow elevators. read more
