So over the laziness at this deli... employees seeing people waiting and continuing to talk with one another and then you get up there to tell me they are out of something... you are in a grocery store. Go to the isle and grab more of it and do your job. Unless there was a massive change in the past 10 years, we always used to go grab extra items off the shelves... what a joke. I'm not sure whether the long line and the delay in filling my prescriptions are due to staff shortages, but the assistant who helped me today wasn't very helpful in clarifying the situation. I was told yesterday that my prescriptions would be ready today, but when I arrived they had not been filled. I was then told I could wait in the store while they were being prepared. Unfortunately, I had to leave and come back later, and they still aren't completed. They have them in stock but are very slow. Now it's been more than 24!hours and I was supposed to start on my medication yesterday. I'm normally happy with Publix pharmacy but not this location. read more

It's Publix, it's always clean, lots of employees to assist when necessary finding something you need. The deli and bakery are always super quick in service, I am used to having to wait for the deli at other locations but here, they are quick. Took one star as the hot case area is usually slower than other places I have visited and it's always like that, checkout is fast, so much so that it's unnecessary to use the self checkout area. Went in for two pub subs. Young man named Caden helped me and my daughter. We got a Philly and an Italian. Publix Pharmacy is the Worst!! My doctor send in new scripts at 2:00 Wednesday. I went to pick them up on Thursday at 3:00. They still aren't ready!! 25 hours later and it's still not filled??!! They said " my doctor ordered them for 8pm pick up on Thursday ". Lies. How do I know? Because one cream was for a rash and she wanted me to start using it before bed on Wednesday. She never asked when I was planning to pick it up and I never mentioned when I planned to pick it up. And these were not special order meds. There were 2 creams for a rash. When I voiced my displeasure, I was told to "walk around the store and come back in 20 minutes ". I'm a senior citizen disabled woman who recently had surgery and I came to Publix for 1 thing and 1 thing only. To pick up my scripts. I was NOT going to walk around for 20 minutes so I sat by the pharmacy and guess what? My scripts were ready in 5 minutes. No apologies. Why should they apologize? It was easier to blame my doctor than admit to their lack of customer service. This is their normal operating procedure. Terrible. read more

Do not go to this Publix in Fleming island if you see Diana making Publix subs walk away I just had the most horrendous experience with her. I asked for a softener bread they gave new soft bread behind the counter in a bread holder that they are promoting to ask for she reached into the one in front of her and grabbed a very browned almost burnt bread . Then She threw my meat on the sub letting the meat be 3 inches higher than the bread then no meat on one side. I asked her to fix it and she sighed and did. I personally don't know a single person who likes to eat meat for their sub outside of the sub roll.then I told her which ingredients I wanted she asked me to repeat 4 times then pointed to each ingredient and asked me again there's a level of comprehension she's missing. She told me they will be out of onions for the next week and she would not be cutting one from inside the store .At the end I asked for pepper 3 times she shoved the sandwich forward after getting the price on it and ignored me. I will never go back that's it for me as I eat this hard sandwich I am very very unhappy I've been going to Publix since I was 5 I was born and raised in Florida. This is one of the better Publix markets in the Jax area because it's located in Fleming Island. I absolutely love their fried chicken here because it's always fresh. Yum! I've ordered birthday cakes from this location and got amazing customer service. It's usually pretty busy any time of day, but parking has never been an issue for me. Great service, awesome deli, nice produce, friendly clientele and easy parking. It's where shopping is a pleasure. :) read more

I normally love Publix and their customer service but today sent me reeling! I have a huge family and I always order my cakes from Publix . This time I was greeted by an extremely young girl in the bakery who looked like she was in high school. I showed her a pic of what I wanted. After a few back and forth with people in the back it was decided that they wouldn't even entertain my ideas. I understood but they wouldn't even listen to me. However my biggest complaint is after a couple back and forth I asked the girl another question. She took my phone again and what she doesn't realize is I saw her make a face and roll her eyes. Seriously???? Completely disrespectful!! I should've said something but I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. I left extremely annoyed but it's ok... another Publix was happy to accommodate me and actually listened. I will start going there. read more

They cannot handle online orders! Every time I get there to pick up my online order it's not ready. Last time I got home to discover they gave me someone else's order. I never write horrible reviews about any stores ever. But after calling and still having the same issues I am beyond frustrated. The first time I had an issue was when I ordered ahead and when I came to pick it up at the time it said it would be ready, it still wasn't made. I called spoke with management told them the horrible service I received when I asked them to make my mobile order. The man was rude throwing empty bottles everywhere etc. She apologized and told me that wasn't the way things worked around here, which I agree Publix always gives great service. I decided I would give them another chance, yesterday and put in an order. I waited 40 minutes before I went up for the sub, the ONE BLT sub I ordered and it still wasn't ready!!! I gave them the benefit of doubt and decided this morning I would try this Publix one more time, I only get a 10 min lunch break and it's the closest store to me. So when I go to pick it up waiting another 40 mins!! It's ready by my surprise, I got to my car to eat it and the sub is made wrong !!! I'm sooooooo done with this store and will never ever be ordering or going to there sub station ever again. Hopefully y'all have revived better service but after the third time I'm over it read more

We love this place! We are from the north, the land of Kroger and Meijer. Anyone who has traversed the country can imagine our sadness when the favorite grocery stores you've come to know and love are nonexistent. However, Publix fills this hole very nicely, especially this location. The staff are always welcoming and reflect true southern charm. We especially love the ladies who man the recipe station where they make one of their recipes on spot and give out samples. The deli is always great and the lines move fast. I can't say enough good things about Publix's customer service in general. They are all amazing.. however, my daughter and I had a solo cookie booth here last night and the way we were situated I was trying very hard not to be in the way. Every single Publix employee that came out to grab carts and came past us said hi and wished us luck. It's the little things that keep a little girls spirit up. And at the end of our booth one of the managers came out and saw we'd be hauling lots of empty cardboard boxes back home. He so nicely offered to get rid of them for us. I really like this publix. If I need to run to Fleming Island for anything I will gladly go to this Publix. The store is always clean, there is fresh coffee and the associates are nice which make you feel welcome to shop here. The aisles are clean and easy to navigate. It is easy to find items on special and they have the specials well stocked so you can get what you want. The parking lot is a good size and its easy to get in and out of. This review is for the deli. Had to try the famous "pub sub". came in a little before noon on a Saturday, ordered the 'Jacksonville jaguars' special - which was fried chicken tenders. I thought is was a regular menu but the sandwich makers asked what I want and built a custom sandwich. Like most delis, you need to be familiar with the options and know what you want when you get up to order. Great bread, toast sub was tasty 4 minutes 50 sec from line to receiving sandwich, $6 & change for a 12 inch. Price is right and quality of ingredients were good. read more

This place has become my new favorite local grocery store. It's not a superstore - it only has grocers and a select few other things (like toiletries), so it qualifies for special credit card cash-back programs like the American Express Blue-Cash Everyday/Preferred cards. They have most everything we need each week, with good quality deli and produce. We love the Boarshead meats at the deli! We also like to come when the recipe station is manned and cooking up some great samples =). Their prices can be a bit high, but we found them to be no more than Winn Dixie, and most times much less - especially with their BOGO offers. Love it! read more
