Publix to me is the best grocery shopping store I've ever frequented! It's not only about the foodstuffs they offer to customers here. It's also about the flower area, the deli, the bakery, the pharmacy, the availability to send money by Western Union, the fresh meats area, and I could go on and on, but you get the point! It's also a highly valued exercise spot for me on hot summer days when I take walks in the larger shopping and mall centers in JAX! This is a renovated Publix and everything in it still appears "new" two-years later. That says the store is managed well. Shelves are organized, and you rarely see empty spots on them. I've been pretty happy with what they offer. I love the app where I frequently search for the BOGOs weekly and always come out with something I like- especially the pizzas! Though the store is limited on organics, it does have some I use often, such as bananas and bell peppers, among a few others. I would say that Sprouts is ahead of Publix on organics availability, but that's ok. Shopping for the best deal on things like organics or other products that can be more expensive is always a chess match. A little searching on apps and the web will help customers along the way. Publix posts their deals and BOGOs weekly. Take advantage of it! Another place I enjoy is the deli area. Their subs are amazing and you can just about always get $2 off on them. They use Boar's Head deli meats and there are none out there better! Truth is, everyone who lives in JAX and the state of FL knows about Publix and surely most of them shop here, I'm sure. Well, this company has earned its place as one of the best over its 90-plus years of existence. I have only seen displays of excellence in all the key areas of what a successful business should be in every Publix store I've visited. The service is great, the employees always seem enthusiastic and willing to assist you, the products and services, (like the pharmacy) area, are always top notch! Checked out the new ramen bar at Publix, and overall it's got potential. I really liked that they could do a vegetarian swap with tofu, and serving the noodles and broth separately for to-go was a smart move--kept everything from getting mushy. The noodles were fresh, too, which I appreciated. Only downside was the miso broth; when I poured it in, there was a big clump of paste at the bottom that hadn't been mixed in, which threw the flavor off. I get that they're just getting started, so I'll give it another try and hope they iron out the little issues. Could definitely be a solid spot with a few tweaks! read more

The level of service I received this past weekend (Memorial Day) reminds me of the grocery stores of my childhood. I came into find a cake for my mom's birthday, and Marisa from the bakery came out and helped me look in the case and find exactly what I was looking for. And then she asked me if she could write something on it for my mother. She asked me the color of the icing, and what I wanted it to say, and I asked her if she had time and she said "Sure!" and within a few minutes, she handed me this beautiful cake with a lovely greeting for my mom. The bakery was busy, being the day before Memorial Day. And yet Marissa took the time to come help me as if she had all the time in the world. It reminded me of a true neighborhood grocery store where people know each other and help each other. The cake was divine! My mother loved it, and I told her how special Marisa made me feel. And valued as a customer. There are plenty of places around here to buy groceries. But this Publix made me feel special. So I'll be back! read more

We don't know much about different cuts of steak and he took the time to educate us and answer our questions about the standing rib promotion this week. He even sliced the rib into 1" steaks for us. This is my go to Publix. Not just for location but also because it's been remodeled. My only issue is that I've found expired products on the shelf quite a handful of times. Even bread with some mold. Just check your products before you buy them. Customer service was great when I returned my first expired product. Ended up with a refund and replacement! read more

the service was terrible. when placing a pickup order it's typically because your busy and don't have a lot of time. while I can respect it may be busy inside, the service we were met with was inexcusabl. Firstly it took 45 minutes to get the order, which was only recieved because we went inside to grab it. when speaking with customer service the response was oh yea well it can take that long we only prioritize customers inside the store. not to mention our order had been closed out saying it had been picked up, prior to us going inside. when this was brought up the lady said oh well that happens sometimes when we just don't have time to go outside. end of story is being treated that way will not bring customers back. I suggest retracting your team proper protocols and maybe retraining your customer service team on best ways to handle a situation. I'm disgusted by the responses. read more

This location is right around the corner from my in-laws and my go to anytime we are visiting! Publix is my preferred grocery store- so it is no surprise that I am happy to visit this location too! I confess that the layout in this one threw me for a minute- but the older stores are a little different. Hubby and I popped in for some grilling out food items and quickly made our way around the store gathering good deals and good food to prepare! I retired from this Publix location. Sometimes I say to myself, " I should of never retired from Publix". They are a great organization. Clean too! After moving here from Amelia Island and having a Publix that was top notch, thanks to the entire staff and Craig Fitzpatrick's leadership, any Publix I visit would have a tough act to follow. I find I shop at this one and the one on Beach near the bridge and while neither is my hometown Amelia Island, they both are doing pretty good. They are smaller, so the selection is more limited, but I feel like they both try hard and embrace that Publix attitude. I tried the online delivery service today just to see what that was all about and WOW, how convenient is that. I cannot get over how convenient and professional this service is. I asked for delivery between 11:00 a.m. and noon, and I started getting text related to the delivery just around 11:00 and had my order by 11:25. Silvia was as nice as she could be. This might just change my world. I like to grocery shop, but if I can utilize this service and spend that time doing other things, it is really a no brainer for some days. If you have not tried the Publix delivery service, do yourself a favor, and try it. read more

The love/hate relationship couldn't be more appropriate for my neighborhood Publix. Look, the BOGO deals are off the charts. Everything from watermelon and hummus, to beer and toilet paper. It's a guaranteed fact I'll always get my bang-for-my-buck. Even the employees seem nicer here. Tonight, I got complimented on my beard and haircut. Seriously? Do they know the key to my heart? BUT...there have been times, like yesterday, where the wait times exceed my capacity to keep it cool. Specifically, the deli and prepared foods. I'm a frequent flyer here, because of my love for Pub Subs. But guys, you need to have more staff on hand. Please, for my sanity. I'm lucky to have you in my life. The only reason I come to publix over other grocery stores is their pub subs. Their prices are very high compared to their competitors and their lines are always way too long. Sadly today that changed and I won't even be coming here for the subs anymore. After ordering on my phone at 1230, getting quoted a 1pm pick up time, I get there at 1pm and get told it will be another 10 minutes on top of that time. Meanwhile I have my crying baby (which is why I ordered it ahead of time, to avoid a crying baby) and dog left in the car, because it takes them 40 minutes to make two subs Thanks so much publix read more

This is my neighborhood Publix. I am in here often. The store is always clean and the employees are always so friendly and welcoming with a smile on their face. The produce is always fresh. Bakery is usually stocked with what I want, and so is the deli. If I can't find what I'm looking for, or if I can't reach it (short girl problems) an employee is always happy to help. The only issue I have occasionally is at the meat department. I often ask for them to split up some of the steak, chicken or meatballs, as it's just me and I don't want to freeze the meat or let it go bad. Every time I ask for them to split it, it's like they I'm bothering them. I just don't like freezing meat and I don't want to waste it. read more

This is not my neighborhood Publix but it is convenient when I am going to the Chiropractor or Ace Hardware. It's clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful but the store is set up completely opposite from the Publix I shop at regularly and that always catches me off guard as I hunt for needed items. Today we found our favorite pretzel brand "Unique" which our Publix stopped carrying so that was a huge bonus!! read more

Maybe it's just me but when people say they love Publix I just shake my head. Most everything is over priced and they only real time you are getting a "deal" is when stuff is BOGO. I also find the pharmacy at this specific location very slow. Maybe it's just me but it should never take 5 days to fill a very common prescription with generic drugs. Now that I've griped there are some thing I do like. Obviously the subs and chicken come to mind first. No one that has ever had either can tell me that it isn't good. Most of the staff is usually nice and helpful. Swinging by and getting a sample of the apron meal is a fav of mine when it's being cooked for lunch and dinner. The best feature here might be the online ordering. Being able to skip the line and get my sub/deli meat is great. The deli can be backed up and a bit slow and I just don't have the patience. I'm a regular at this Publix. The employees are always friendly and go out of their way to help. They have a great selection of groceries, super bogo sales weekly, fresh meat, and if there's something you want that they don't stock, tell them and they will special order it. The produce selection is always fresh and good. The meat is the best grocery store selection in town.( be sure to try their preseasoned meatballs and their steak and cheese and spinach.) I can tell you I highly recommend this Publix to anyone. The prices are really reasonable comparing them to Winn Dixie and far beat Fresh Market and whole foods. read more

Customer service is severely lacking! I walked in around 9:15pm. The employee who was heading out to collect carts nearly ran into me. She had that get-outta-my-way face on! Nice way to be greeted where shopping is supposed to be a pleasure. At 9:53 they turned the lights off to the freezers! I don't care what day of the week or year it is (and on this particular trip it happened to be Valentine's Day), if your posted hours are until 10, customers should be able to shop until close! I was just trying to pick up one last thing before I headed to the register. If my money was going directly into your pockets wouldn't you want to allow me the best experience possible?! When I checked out, several employees were chit chatting while I bagged my own groceries. Half way through bagging my things a manager came up and bagged the other half while making small talk with the cashier. He didn't even bother to put the bags in my cart, or tell me to have a good night. He just went right back to his clip board. Besides the service, the store just seems dingy and outdated. As has become typical of publix, the produce department could do better with the organic selection. Personally, I do not like spending my money where I am treated like this. It's part of the reason I try to avoid Walmart whenever possible. Does Publix really want to be compared to Walmart? I hope not. read more

Proximity at Harbour Village (?) is very nice. Not much to say other than the standards. One exceptional item is that they're never out of stock on anything I've needed and go the extra mile when I need help finding something. Also, their "Buy one get one Free deals" are as excellent as they are random. I like the store here, on the corner of Hodges and JTB and the one in Neptune Beach on Atlantic as well. I love the fact that they have a restroom RIGHT in the front of the store and the only time I was ever in there, there was an employee as well- AND - he washed his hands. Without reading the little sign. In fact, I've never once seen a cashier pick their nose so the sanitary standards are above par as well. Update: I haven't been here in a year but the fact is, this place is worthy of four stars. Give it a shot, you'll be glad you did. read more

This is kind of a psa to all pubs out there EVERYTIME I order a sandwhich online my order its wrong there is always mustard I'm allergic to mustard seed so I can't eat it and I'm already home and just kind of give up on my sandwhich (I can't just wipe it off) it's very frustrating because I do love publix and they do a great job but if I'm not there to watch them make my sandwhich it's never right I'm just sad and hungry guys read more

This is my favorite grocery store the staff is always very helpful and nice. I would've give 5 stores but the deli is my only issue that I have. The place to order subs is always long and in a weird spot so you in the way of others trying to shop so for subs definitely recommend ordering them online and the hot food good be better it always looks old on the hot veggie and Mac n cheese. I love Publix, and will always be a loyal customer BUT I will NEVER return to this location! I came in looking to pick up a few salmon fillets and crablegs for a tasty dinner. I got to the seafood counter and told the employee what I needed. He told me he would have to get more fillets from the back. A few seconds later he came back with a box and called over a fellow employee. He told the guy "hey this doesn't have a date on it, is it still good" his fellow employee replied "smell it" he replied "I guess so, so how many do you need ma'am" disgusted I walked out of the store and have no intentions of returning. This is definitely the worst publix in town. The bakery staff is incredibly rude and looked like I was bothering them when I asked for help (waited for 5 minutes they never noticed me). I came to this Publix this past weekend for my son's cub scout pack to sell popcorn and support the troops to receive the worst welcoming by the manager. This was my son's first year doing this and first experience. About an hour into our 2 hour signed up session the manager came up to tell us we had to move. We were exactly 15 feet away from the door it was raining and we only asked people coming in if they wanted to purchase popcorn in support of the troop and the two boys were thanking every person whether they purchased or not. In history I have been approached by cub scouts, brownies, girl scouts, boy scouts, military, salvation army, and so many more charities. He stated that we could stand on the other side twenty feet away but could not say anything. So we had to pack and move the entire table and boxes. Maybe of he had came out when we first got there to suggest a side I wouldn't have been so upset and also it is ridiculous that the boys are trying to earn their badges for military weekend and be told not to say anything. Does Publix solicite business? Do they market? Yes they do. I feel this manager handled things horribly and made a bad experience. Let's just say we packed up and went home plus we will never go back to that store. I made a point to go inside and make a purchase no one offered to help me. I personally love Publix. As grocery store's go Publix quite literally rocks as a grocery store. The store is always very clean. You don't get greeted, as you enter the store with a roadkill smell emanating from the meat department the way you do at some of the low-end stores. The management always has a strong presence throughout the store. You can always find what you're looking for and a little more. The bakery is absolutely fabulous. The service you get at the checkout is always unbeatable, I mean: it is so nice to have someone; bagging and carting your purchase; for you. There is always an attentive and polite associate nearby no matter where you are in the store. Publix simply can't be beat.
