Full disclosure I love Publix it's my favorite grocery store for gods sake I have a pin i wear on my rain coat that says: Publix : see attached picture.. Anyway my wife and grandson and I stopped in she had to get groceries and the boy and I wanted PuB Subs for our fishing trip in the morning. So my wife grabbed her cart and went to get groceries and I said we will meet you in the car. My grandson and I went to the counter and ordered our subs not much of a line they had three ppl at the counter making the subs but the guy we got was to say slow might be the biggest understatement of the year. My wife got her groceries went home let the dogs out and came back the an was still making our subs the Iran war is over he's still making the subs the groceries we got from the public where slow sub maker will expire before he makes our subs . This was a Saturday today is a Wednesday and we are still inline for our subs. I don't usually say fire the guy/girl I promise you that guy has cost you many many many of customers and if your reading this and your the manager I'm sure you know they person I'm talking about . read more

Publix is amazing! They offer good selecitons of groceries and items, but they do not offer most products in smaller quantities. But the store is spacious and they have a lot of items and brands to choose from! The store is affordable, and the store was well kept! Top marks! read more

I will always be a fan of this company! Reason being, it is so much easier to get my WIC products here than Walmart. I also tried a sub for the first time and I got the herd (vegan) sub. Tip of the day, get it toasted, my sub was not only cold but almost everything was frozen. Luckily I'm a chef I just went home and hooked it up but please get it toasted! I love how the store is alway cleaned! I've never met an angry or upset worker! Their always nice and kind and ready to help you with what ever it is you need help with. Publix is a lot more expensive than other places like Walmart but just like Target you get the best products. That last and taste better! Plus, they have a reason good section when it comes to being healthy! Their produce is ten times better than Walmart hands done! read more

I greatly prefer to shop online for the convenience of it. However, the Publix website doesn't post prices with the items, so it is impossible to comparison shop. They are losing my approx $300 per week online shopping to Walmart, which is not a great store. But Walmart has a great online shopping experience. I prefer the tastiness of Publix prime produce and their deli selections. I hope that they get the message and fix their website soon! I called and they tried to tell me that's just how instacart is. I don't use instacart, I either pick up my order myself, or have another designated person pick up my order. read more

I just love Publix. If you're a beach bum like me, you stay all day at the beach and don't want to leave for lunch. Publix has all your picnic needs covered. There's plenty of fresh fruit, prepared salads, croissants, gallons of different flavor lemonade, ice packs, Styrofoam coolers, etc. There is a fishing section and a beach section with T shirts, sundresses, sunscreen, kid toys, and shell nets and they are cheaper here than at the tourist stores. read more

Each trip I make to Florida, a visit to Publix is "where shopping is a pleasure." It's the truth! As with all (and this location near Punta Rassa): Good selection and even better employees. I can't tell you how great they all are, all friendly, and all helpful to get you exactly what you need. If you're looking for something, they don't just tell you where it is or might be, they walk with you over to the location and help you look. Dynamite key lime pie as well. Until we can get one in California, the occasional cross country visit will have to do! read more

One person's HORRIBLE attitude, unprofessionalism, and personality ruins this location. Watch out for Mike in the seafood department. He is beyond nasty!! He has zero customer service skills. The instacart worker was very polite and asking him a question about a product (while I was on the phone with the Instacart worker). He was verbally aggressive towards her and not answering her question so I asked to be out on the phone with him. Mike got on the phone and started yelling at me saying, "LOOK MAN, these are the facts!!" I told him to not come at me like that and that we were just trying to figure out where a particular product was and he got even more upset and put the phone down and walked away. He absolutely needs to be sent to anger management classes, customer service classes, or not work with the public. Here is a picture of Mike. Also, he is handling food for the public and doesn't ever wear a mask properly. Maybe the Department of Health needs to look into this?! read more

I'm from out of town and have not used a Publix before. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store and the friendly staff who asked if I needed anything (several did). In particular I was looking for pickled ginger and they were out however Liam the produce manager pealed and shaved ginger for me. He even apologized for taking so long (which it wasn't). I was very impressed with the service I wish I had one in Michigan. read more

This review is for the Publix men's Room. To set the stage me and wife were visiting Florida for a weeks vacation. We were staying on Sanibel Island and did not know the area well. We were a half hour early for a Sunset Cruise at the Marina down the street and I started to have a rumbly in my tummbly, if you get my meaning. Not being from the area we checked a the Map APP for the closest public restroom and instead we got Publix. Knowing a little bit about what Publix was we headed the less then a mile there. I was able to find parking and ran in to use the restrooms. First off the restrooms are in the far back of the store but are clearly marked which is nice. When I got there someone was cleaning them but when they saw I had a bit of a bathroom emergency they were polite to let me use the restroom. Afterward I was able to meet up with my wife who had gotten us some fun snacks for the cruise and we were able to be rung up quickly. Definitely a nice place to do your business. read more

I ordinarily love Publix, especially this location, but today my opinion changed a bit. I was really aggravated to see a customer blatantly not wearing a mask. When I said something to him, he ignored me, but to make it worse, the white haired woman behind the deli counter told me I was the one who was wrong. She should not let her politics get in the way of customer service. I did complain to the front desk and he came on the intercom to remind people to wear masks, but there was "nothing he could do" besides remind people. The manager was very kind, at least. Still, really aggravating from a store I usually like so much, and I didn't appreciate being disrespected by the woman at the deli counter because I wanted to remain safe. read more

A brilliant modern Publix with a super friendly staff and well designed interior. It's the first official stop before getting on that bridge to Sanibel to grab those necessities for a few days in paradise before paying paradise prices. Highly recommend. Being as it's within a close proximity to Sanibel, there is an abundance of other items to make your kids happy and your time more memorable at the beach. This time my kids suckered me into a cute mesh bag for shells, two more nets, because what child doesn't need another net for catching random sea life on the beach?! Hubby suckered me into another koozie to fly off the boat in the near future, as well as another bottle of sunscreen, because clearly with about 14 cans of SPF 70, we needed one more. read more

The only way this Publix gets better is if it's actually on Sanibel Island! Great location prior to the bridge and the only close one around before you go over. We always stop at this Publix before we head to the beach and pick up subs and snacks and it makes for a great beach day! read more

I suggest coming into the store with a good attitude, because in on the contrary of all reviews this store is fantastic. Shopping is always a pleasure at PUBLIX, or at least it used to be. Now when I see, against all reason, employees being pressured to take an experimental shot and being forced to wear masks, even though the New England Journal of Medicine (May 2020) and a study by Stanford published in NIH concluded that masks not only do not help, they cause health problems. PUBLIX employees are the best too. They do not deserve this abuse and to be vehicles for maintaining an irrational ambiance of hysteria. read more

Your typical Publix- this one is newish, clean and pretty large. Staff at Publix are always so helpful and friendly and this one is no different. Stop here before crossing into Sanibel/Captiva to stock up and food and drinks. They had a section up front with seasonal items for the beach including pool floats and sunscreen. Too bad they didn't have any of the brands of sunscreen I was looking for. Oh, and they didn't carry a specific donut brand we usually get at Publix. The employee I asked walked us back and pointed to the display I'd already checked but was otherwise not helpful. Decent little wine section. read more

I shop at the Summerlin Crossing store almost daily. It is going down hill fast. Point in case: yesterday I ordered a 3 lb sirloin tip roast to be sliced. The meat cutter said no problem and I could pick it up later. That was at 11:30 AM. I returned at 9:30 PM and not only was it not done, there wasn't even an order. Fortunately another meat cutter, Donovan, took pity on me and stopped his clean up, took out a new roast and filled my order. Second point in case, I went back this morning and naturally the original meat cutter was apologetic but that was still crap. In checking out, there were no express lanes open because they under scheduled and the lines were backed up 5 and 6 deep. The above represents just two examples. Often they are out of things and it just seems they don't really give a damn. read more

This is a great Publix. Easy to get too from Ft Meyers beach. They have a nice selection of organic foods too.

My wife contacted the bakery in this Publix to design a wedding cake for our daughter's wedding which was going to be held at the South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island. Since we live in Texas, she had to make a few phonecalls to Karen in the bakery to hash out an idea for the design. When my wife and I arrived at SSIR, we drove to the Publix and spoke to Mercedes who did the actual decorating of the cake. Mercedes was a little nervous about doing the design but my wife told her not to worry that we had "100% confidence" that Publix would get the cake done right. They did! The cake looked fantastic and tasted even better! Since moving to Texas we've been deprived of greatness of everything Publix does. A few grocery stores come close but they're not Publix. Thanks to the entire bakery staff for doing such a fantastic job on my daughter's wedding cake. read more

We ordered our wedding cake from this Publix location for our destination wedding on Captiva Island. We were going for a simple look, and were told by countless vendors on the island that Publix was the way to go! We were shocked that we could get such an incredible quality cake from a grocery store. The bakery staff was so nice during our tasting visit, and we ultimately chose a three tier yellow cake with custard and fresh strawberries with their famous buttercream frosting. It was incredible!!! The night of the wedding our guests kept commenting on how beautiful and delicious the cake was -- they thought we had gotten it from a high-end bakery on the island. Never would have guessed it was a $400 cake! :) Absolutely incredible service, and great quality. I highly recommend! read more

Produce is excellent , staff outstanding. My one complant are their under cooked roast chicken in the deli section. Roast chickens should be black and somewhat crisp but these are still half yellow and wet and undercooked inside.. read more

We wanted to buy an Italian outdoor furniture set at Publix, but we live in California (where there are no Publx stores), so either I'd have to take the large box on our return flight with me - risking an oversize baggage fee - or I'd have to ship it. The assistant store manager, Scott Brown, helped us, even offering to personally ship it with Fedex to our home the following morning. Great store, great service, and a pleasure to shop here.
