We made a quick stop to get some groceries from here. The place was huge, with thousands and thousands of products. It was very clean and tidy. A lot of the products had promotional discounts. We pretty much found everything we were looking for. They had self checkout kiosk. It was convenient to scan all our items quickly and walk out the store. One of the slowest deli/sandwich lines in existence. God forbid you have more than 2 people in front of you at sandwich lines. You'll be waiting a least 20 minutes to get a sub. Workers getting distracted and taking their good ole time during the lunch rush. Very very frustrating experience. Should not take more than 2 minutes to make a sub. read more

The last three times I've ordered subs online, they haven't been ready at the pickup time, they haven't even started making them. I had to remind them that I had an online order, they messed the order up once, after I had to wait for them to make it. This evening, when I checked out with my sub (it wasn't ready), the check out girl was morose, no smile, no greeting, no nothing. It was clear that she wanted to be somewhere else and wanted me to go away. This store needs an overhaul badly, and the employees need a pep talk. Worst Publix ever. THE EXPERIMENT with eliminating fresh hot food to paperbagging entres and putting sides in clear lid plastic containers turns macaroni and cheese into soup from all the condensation. I took a container home, and the macaroni and cheese was burnt on the bottom. And so much water came out of it. I could fill up 4 oz of water. That's how much water came out of the container from condensation. Dinners are ala cart and with the bread cost almost 19.00 for one. Every other Publix dinner is 7.75 to 8.99 and that was for a 3 piece fresh catfish dinner for 1. read more

BRUTAL sandwich line. I love pub subs and this is the WORST Publix sandwich line ever. The workers have no sense of urgency, particularly the lady with red hair, who was NOT wearing her name tag. This is a decent store with a bad reputation in the neighborhood. We were warned not to come here by our hotel concierge, but it was close and we were tired. Sooooo, we came anyway. Pleasantly surprised. Store is bright and clean. Well stocked and reasonable supermarket selection. Much like a Safeway or Krogers if you're from other parts of the country. They have a pretty good beer and wine selection, but Fl doesn't allow liquor sales in markets. Produce is nice but there is a limited selection. All in all, not bad. read more

I go out of my way to shop at this location. I pass by on the way to my mother's house in the Acreage, and I've never been mistreated, they always have what I'm looking for, and the girls at the deli are the sweetest. They know me by name, and always strike up a conversation. I never have a problem getting my smokes and having them ring up my lunch as well, something I had an issue with in some other locations. The cashiers are super helpful when you don't know where to find what you're shopping for, and the selection is great; so many options to choose from. I'll continue supporting this location. I feel like the people who left these other reviews must've gotten up on the wrong side of someone else's bed that morning, because I enjoy going grocery shopping, even driving 20 minutes out, passing a Publix a few blocks from my complex off 45th and Military. read more

I'm fully not understanding how EVERY TIME I shop at this Publix I come home with at least 2 things that are expired by weeks. One time I found bugs in the boxed pasta. Another time I got fruit pouches for my toddler that were nearly expired by a year. read more

I brought 5 Cantaloupes As I was in checking outline a skinny black female cashier was constantly sharing at me. Laughing, Giving me theses negative shares, rolling her eyes. I confronted her about the situation. She would continue to roll her eyes, And give me theses negative looks. I told the male and explained the situation. He did not seem solve the situation. I like this Publix location. Then again, I like all Publix locations. So maybe I'm biased in rating and writing this review. So what? This store is my crutch when getting an Easter Ham. What I mean by this is sometimes Costco runs out and this is my next go to place. The employees are nice, as expected. Isles are well stocked and organized. The prices are fair and I have always been pleasantly surprised by the good quality of Publix branded items. Some people may brush off my review and recommendation as just another "Publix Fanatic", but I have been to Grocers all over the country and I don't even have Publix in my "home" state. I shop here regularly because of the curtious staff and clean facilities: it's my publix. I just recently had a negative encounter with team members. They're normally very helpful, but tonight they denied my order. Simple request, 50 chicken wings to feed myself and my girlfriends' family after a long day of yard work. Upon ordering both the female and male employees told me that they were out of chicken and nonchalantly went back to standing around. Really, out of chicken the day before a holiday, or are their employees just not take their job serious enough to cater to the patrons who pay their paychecks? This brings up the subjects of quality control and safety standards. If these Publix employees are so unmotivated to fry 50 chicken wings then how can I trust that food from trucks are reaching coolers in a timely manner? How about temperature control? Are they checking their coolers regularly to make sure they're below 41 degrees? Are the ready to eat foods being changed out and remade regularly? Safety-sani, are their cutting boards cleaned and sanitized as often as they should? Are raw and cooked foods being stored properly? Are coolers and food contact equipment being cleaned and maintained as per FDA code? If these employees are too unmotivated to fry simple a box of chicken for a patron then I'm not entirely comfortable with the assumption that basic safety-sani regulations, like hand washing, are being performed. Very disappointed that these Publix try and take advantage of people's ignorance if they are not vigilant and checking dates and ingredients can end up consuming expired or harmful foods. A shopping trip should not be so difficult but in today's world were the owners and managers are fat, lazy, selfish. But I bet in some form these people think they are doing a great job and deserve their high paying salaries wile others that would be far more dedicated and informed are unemployed. I won't be back. Absolutely horrible service both times I went to the sandwich shop and bakery. Different girls waited on me and both were rude, bitchy and completely incomponent. Cared more about gossiping with co workers while I just stood there being ignored. I would have just left if my wife wasn't waiting for me to bring her a sandwich back. The employees who prepare sandwiches are extremely rude. Yesterday, I was the only person at the counter and waited for 10 min while the worker continued to refill toppings and not even acknowledge me. I had to remind her multiple times for items I asked for that she had missed. After receiving my sub and wrap I waited at the cash register right next to the sub station for even longer than I waited to be helped and the worker who made my sandwiches told me a different lady could help me. This is our Publix by that I mean the one closest to home. Management is lackluster at best, Deli counter under staffed and almost anyone behind the counter acts like they are doing you a favor waiting on you. Too many expired items on the shelves and in the refrigerated areas to count. Stock people not doing their jobs. If you don't watch the people bagging heaven help what you find crushed or broken when you get home.The products that used to be available are now no longer being stocked. I think they are taking the lead in helping the area to decline. I have complained to management more than once and I hear all the apologies but week after week nothing improves. Armed guards do not make for a comfortable shopping experience. read more

The deli and sub people are slow and rude and act like they hate their job, don't be in a hurry if you go there. the hot case is horrible never has any food in it and what's in it looks like a pile of crap. This Publix is absolutely amazing! The entire staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient in everything I have observed them do. The customer service here is horrible! Some of the people are rude at the deli don't greet you and one person scolded me when I didn't tell her every item at the beginning of my order. I also recently ordered a chocolate bday cake with chocolate icing to be ready a certain date at 4p. I called that date twice to see if I can get it earlier that day but was told no only at 4pm. I understand that they were probably busy! I come on the dot at 4pm and the cake had white icing! She tried to argue that I ordered white, I said I didn't, we looked at the receipt and it said chocolate! I asked her to put chocolate icing on it and she said that would take at least 15 min or more! She didn't want to help! I was upset and told her so!
