I recently returned a package of wedding cookies that I had purchased about a week prior because they were stale--and not cheap, either. I didn't have the receipt, which I understand can complicate things, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and honestly a bit degrading. Instead of a simple, respectful resolution, it felt like I was being treated with suspicion over something minor. I wasn't even looking for cash back--I fully intended to turn around and spend the money in the store--but the lack of basic customer care really stood out. The overall interaction left a bad impression, and unfortunately, it reflects the general vibe I've experienced in multiple locations. It often feels impersonal and overpriced, with customer service that doesn't match the premium prices. Speaking of prices, they are consistently much higher than other local options. The only time shopping here feels reasonable is during buy-one-get-one deals, and that shouldn't be the only way customers feel like they're getting value. This experience was disappointing enough that I don't plan on returning. I hope the company takes a closer look at how customers are treated, especially in situations like this where a little understanding and respect would go a long way. read more

The main business of Publix is to sell groceries, but they also have a deli area where they will make you a sandwich. A couple of weeks ago my wife and I rediscovered that and bought a very good sandwich from a Publix close to our home. Last night we were in Bradenton and decided to grab another Publix sandwich, so we stopped in this store along Cortez Rd. It was late, just after 9pm, and we were happy to see the deli was still open. They had a special for $2 off their Italian sandwich, so that's what we got. What a great sandwich and a great experience. After a long day of work, I would have expected our sandwich maker to be tired and just going through the motions, and that was so not the case. She was attentive and funny as we joked around. The sandwich she made was very good once we got it home, my photo only shows half, my wife took the other half. All the sandwich components were good from bread to meats to toppings to the mayo and sub sauce. read more

I liked Publix, until. I was on bed rest and had to order supplies & food. I ordered $263. dollars worth of food and supplies. The driver texted me a few times for me to okay replacements. I followed him to my driveway and the app said delivered. I struggled out of bed to check my door, nothing. I called my neighbor who was on lookout and she said no one has come. I called Publix and immediately, they shucked responsibility to the delivery service, Instacart. And 3 months of grifting began. First they were crediting me to an account, I didn't have; then, they were crediting me to the cc used; then, hang ups; then, noone would talk to me. When I spoke to Publix management again, she took No accountability and was uninterested that the delivery never made it to a senior on bed rest; the police said they couldn't do anything. I lost about 20lbs those 3 months. Thanks to my neighbor who supplied me with a few basics, toilet paper, soup, crackers, peanut butter, cheese, noodles until I was able to get to the market. I have Not used Publix in about a year because, once upon a time, a store/company was Accountable to their customers. read more

OH MY GOLY GARSH GOSH. I've never been more FLABBERGASTED in my life, so I was visiting florida and back at home I enjoy getting krispy kreme donuts from publix occasionally. Well since I was on vacation I though hey why not. Well I get there and they have zero krispy kreme donuts in sight. So when I ask around people look so confused. Like am I speaking in tongues, HELLO?? Everyone is shook that I'd ask if they have any krispy kreme donuts. So I go up to another worker and ask him(he was abt 60). He doesn't even answer my question and goes on abt some trip to GA and all these places in coweta county. He goes on talking for abt 15 minutes. Then starts talking about life in "braden-tucky" wtv that means. So I basically had to search through the what seems like a nice store, but due to their lack of my donuts is not. Sadly I never found my yummalicous donuts. ugh, im so unpleased with this publix. Never go here unless you want your hopes and dreams takin away. I stopped in here to grab a few subs on my way to the beach while here on vacation visiting family in the area! Let me just say that those young ladies behind the deli counter are the BEST!!! Especially Marlene! We had special requests and we are pretty picky and these had to be the best subs we ever had outside my home town. I also enjoyed the cheesecake thing in the ice cream cone from the bakery quite a bit!!!! I returned home to CT yesterday and last night I was sitting home and started to get hungry and thought, Wow, I wish we had a Publix near me because I can go for one of their subs! Since Florida has passed a law re the liquor locations in stores why are we not seeing this made easier for the customer .... This publix frustrates me so. One of my favorite items to buy at Publix are their cannolis, an item that is, from my understanding, supposed to be stocked daily, or at least weekly. I call to check if they have any as I have had too many experiences of driving over to purchase some only to find out they don't have any, I get it- you can run out of an item, but this is weeks long cannoli drought! So sad when you have a craaaving! the associates are not helpful and don't seem to pay much attention to what their customers would like to see be stocked, for an item that should be in stock often it isn't and it's very frustrating. The lines are long and very few of the cashiers seem to enjoy being there. read more

The deli employees are the worst I've ever come across. They need retraining in customer service. They'll ignore you and act like you're not standing there, all while filling online orders, cleaning and cooking with people in line. The 3 times I've been to the deli to get a sub I was not even acknowledged, not even "I'll be right with you." I will never go back there. The deli manager isn't any better. Store manager should clean house. Even my online order was messed up. I went to pick up my 2 subs, it said 7:10 on my online order, I get there only one sub is made and she said you only ordered 1 and it had a paper on it for 8:10. I showed her my email that's says 2 subs at 7:10 pm. Unbelievable. That was 4 times too much for this place. read more

The Deli at this Publix is the worst in Florida. They are always out of everything, They make you feel like a nuisance for ordering anything, and they have no idea how long the food has been sitting in the hot plates. Their excuse is always that they are a busy deli and the run out of stuff. Funny thing is, other team members at this Publix have agreed with me on how bad the Deli is managed. Stop thinking the majority of your shoppers are tourist. For a quick fix, visit the deli on Publix in Bayshore Gardens. That Publix Deli is great! read more

This Publix is average, the employees are nice enough but don't ask you if you need help like the Publix off Manatee Ave and 43rd! If I had to choose I'd go to 43rd Publix first and here 2nd! A great Publix store. Very clean, well organized and friendly associates. They handle a large volume of customers with ease. The bakery, meat, and produce departments are all well stocked and offer high quality food items. Horrible customer service from the managers. The employee was more sincere and communicative with me when my receipt wouldn't come out of the machine. Managers didn't assure me the situation would be handled. They just stood there looking at each other not even wanting to see the picture I took that I paid but that machine wouldn't register it. I want to transfer my prescriptions and spoke to the pharmacist at Publix, Cortez Commons, Bradenton to make sure he'd fill them because one other pharmacy refuses my particular doctor's scripts. I was actually yelled at me. He wouldn't answer my question without seeing the script, which I don't have it, its been filled elsewhere. He then said he didn't have time to talk to me and hung up. Now I'm really stressed - was that necessary? Avoid this angry man, take your scripts to a different pharmacy. I'm taking mine to Publix on 14th Street who are a lot nicer. read more

I have been visiting this location for a long time and I wanted to let you know he is one of the reasons I go there. He always has a smile and a kind greeting. I've been using the insta-cart curbside pickup for several months and want to say THANK YOU! I hope this service continues. The orders are always ready when I arrive at the appointed time and the pickup is easy and quick, done safely and professionally. Due to the fact that I personally hate shopping at Walmart, I had to find an alternative grocery shop for our food. Publix has now stepped up to the plate and I love it. They always have a good selection of products with great BOGO deals. The staff is incredibly helpful and polite. I have rarely been disappointed by this store. The only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars from me is the deli counter. The lines are always longer than the Great Wall of China. I have stood in line for an hour before giving up all hope and walking away with no freshly sliced lunch meat for my family. Although this is a main selling point for Publix, it doesn't change the fact that they do still sell prepackaged lunch meat and are still super convenient in pretty much every other way. I love this store but I'd love it more if they had more employees behind the deli counter. read more

I normally don't leave reviews but Publix your customer service was terrible. They forgot to put the first 2 items scanned ,into my cart so I get all the way home and realize I had three packs of chicken when I knew I purchased 4 . so I call them and they say to come back and just grab my chicken . So I do .. Today rolls around and I go to cook my filets and what do you know I didn't get those either ! , so I call again and this time the lady says I need my receipt which is fine I've got it. So I go in and find the same exact pack I purchased with the same price and everything and go to customer service and show her it's the same pack and then she wants to scan the receipt and the pack like I'm trying to pull a fast one on her !! Like lady !!!? you guys should have told me last night when I called that both items were left behind. Not just the chicken , this is such an inconvenience already and the fact I have to go back TWICE is ridiculous ,, then you treat me like I'm trying to get something for free when you guys messed up !? We only get to use this store when visiting the area, but wish it was closer to me. Staff is always friendly. The bakery does a great job, they made a special order cake for my grandsons birthday while we were visiting the area and it was delicious. Their deli staff is some of the friendliest people we encountered on our visit and they are spectacular at their job. Can't wait to return to area and this is one of the reasons. read more
