Jesse's on the Bay was an AMAZING upscale dining find while staying in Gulf Shores. We dined here on a Wednesday evening and came back the following Friday to have dinner here again. We started both nights by having Manhattan's and appetizers at the bar. Seth was our bartender and he was wonderful and friendly. The crab cake was phenomenal and full of flavor! I loved the cilantro and the texture of the crab cake. Also, I've never had grits before and Seth gave us a sample of the grits with Gouda and I couldn't believe how good they were! For dinner both nights, I ordered the 8 oz. filet. The first night I dined at Jesse's, I ordered the Jesse's steak sauce, which had a flavor profile of Worcestershire and sugary sweet. The second night, I ordered the Bernaise sauce. I was disappointed the Bernaise was put on top (and A LOT of it) because it took away from the flavor of the steak. Next time I know to request the sauce on the side. The Allen Brothers steaks are amazing, the mood was a cross between casual and classy, the waterfront view was stunning, and the customer service was exceptional. Only complaint is the second night we dined there, we waited over an hour for our food and it seems it was forgotten about. My steak was somewhat cold but it still tasted fantastic, so I didn't really care. A 5/5 restaurant in my book and I would love to go back again!

Exceptional experience (from the second we drove onto the property)! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The complete vibe is elevated chic southern elegance! From the sweeping views of the bay to the cathedralesque ceilings... from the intimate tables for two to the cool half-moon tables for 8! Every detail was obviously thought about from a guest perspective.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By far one of the best meals we've ever experienced! Every bite was better than the last... Summer, our waitress, was a wonderful example of southern hospitality and local knowledge with a sparkling personality! It was obvious that the staff worked hard and took great care with every guest. I was so enthralled with the total experience that I forgot to take photos of each course and the drinks! Personal favorites: French 75 (perfection), Crab & Tasso Gratin... Filet Mignon (get it with the Bone Marrow Butter!), Dry aged ribeye... Just go... for no reason other than to love this life!

We ate here tonight while on vacation and WOW! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was spectacular ... from the food to the view to the service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10 out of 10 recommend to anyone in town! I had the grouper & my daughter had the filet. We also had the Jesse's oysters & the crawfish Mac n cheese. Everything was divine. This is a MUST when in the area!

I am an Alabama native, and I have been visiting OBA/Gulf Shores since middle school. Jesse's On the Bay has hands down been my favorite meal in Alabama. From the food to the service to the stunning bay views, this place can compete with the several Michelin star restaurants I've visited all over the world!

We had such a nice evening here! The weather was perfect for the patio. Our server was so sweet and helpful. We started with Cheese bread and he had potato soup. I had "The Fine Line" drink and it was so good. We both had a 5oz. filet but I had the risotto and he had the mashed potatoes. For dessert we both had coffee (it was strong) and I got the chia tea crème brûlée and he had the lemon chess bar (which was AMAZING!)

Skirt Steak and Risotto

Food was amazing! Great service and atmosphere! A little pricey, but definitely worth it. Would 100% go back and highly recommend it!

First of all this place try's hard to sell a steak that they do not have knives sharp enough to cut through them. The GM said it's not something they have figured out yet.... While they did bring me a serrated bread knife it was only slightly better. I recommend going to historically famous steak restaurants like Peter Lugers in NY open over 100 years or Gene & Georgetti in Chicago open 80 years. The steak experience here was like a 2.5 star experience. So disappointing for my last dinner in the area. The grits that went with the steak was 5 stars! Some of the best I ever had! The boutique oysters were also quite delightful! 5 star! The scallop dish was also 5 stars! Sweet and tender! The tiramisu desert was also 2.5 star. The bubble sugar with coffee felt old school- not enough soak. It's a cute place. Service seemed a bit stressed and the ice tea was inconsistent.

Chelsea was our friendly, attentive and thoroughly knowledgeable server. We ordered the calamari (best I've ever tasted, loved the chile seasoning), oysters, steak salad-delicious flavors Baldwin green salad and Cesar salad - chicken added, along with the burger. Definitely will come back and enjoy even more options or re-order the same!

We had an amazing meal at Jesse's the last night of our recent winter getaway to Gulf Shores. We arrived sans reservation, but only had a 15 minute wait (being December and all). Temps were perfect for an outdoor seat, and we got to watch the slow sunset across the bay. Our server was friendly and helpful, very attentive but not intrusive. We started with the house bread which was soft and delicious, especially with the caramelized onion butter. I had the pan-seared redfish which was truly mouthwateringly good. The beef brisket/potato hash, the caviar creme fraiche--so good. I added fresh lump crab to the whole thing, each bite different but great. I also ordered some crawfish mac and cheese to split, truly great as well. My wife went for the filet mignon and enjoyed every bit. I got a small bite--definitely the most tender and flavorful steak I've had in recent memory. Such a good meal, would definitely return.

Review #2 Dinner Went back to Jesse's for dinner with a party of 6. Every single person raved about their meal & their appetizers. HAILEY took excellent care of us. Our table was right in the back overlooking the bay, and the breeze was phenomenal. After we received our meals, the manager came over to check and see that we were enjoying our experience. The family could not stop talking about how good everything was. Highly recommend. Little bit pricier but definitely worth it. They have a lower level that looks like maybe more casual. We may go check that out tonight

We went here for a birthday. We were able to make same day reservations online (though we went during the slow-ish season.) Both my boyfriend and I got the filets and they were nothing short of phenomenal! We got the fired calamari as an appetizer and it was out of this world! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean and had a beautiful view of the bay![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Outstanding restaurant. Can't go wrong. Easy trip by boat. So accommodating. The cocktail menu is flawless. Highly recommend the fries as a side. Best anywhere. Much better than the potatoes, IMO.

The appetizers were delicious (seafood stuffed mushrooms and fried pickles), and the entrees were gigantic. What made the trip a 10/10 for us is the management. Not only did the owner refuse our money and paid for our entire meal, he also made sure our waitress was tipped as well. Fantastic place to eat, and the owner is an angel. Tin Top is our "Go To" restaurant on the coast, we always look forward to going there. Great value for the price, Not price gouging like some places that serve everything fried at a premium price, while living off name recognition of the restaurant. I have a few faves like the cheesy mushrooms and the BBQ shrimp, and nowadaya you can't just look at the regular menu. You have to check out their daily specials board because they are constantly knocking it out of the park with creative new dishes and fresh catches. The atmosphere is just even more welcoming, but the outdoor seating is much improved with some sand and stage, perfect for enjoying the coastal breeze. They updated their operating hours too, so they are now open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Whether you want to escape the usual tourist trap seafood lines, watch a game on their big screens, or just grab a ice cold beer, or really strong drink, with friendly folks, this place just keeps getting better. If you haven't been by lately, you are seriously missing out. Highly recommended!!! 5/26/26

Krystal took fabulous care of us and attended to our every need. We sat in a quiet corner of the bar area (what do you consider quiet in a busy bar...we could carry on a polite conversation during dinner without having to raise our voices) Drinks are reasonably priced and the alcohol is not skimped on in any way. Oysters were shucked in plain sight and with care. They were larger than those served elsewhere and were flavorful. Served with cocktail sauce, horseradish and lemon. What cracker would not want to be decked out with a Mikee's oyster? The decor has been updated a bit and the parking lot is much improved. Looking forward to our next meal at Mikee's.

Between the two of us, we each put away about 9 clusters, and every single one was worth it. The seasoning was spot on; flavorful without overpowering the natural sweetness of the crab. What really stood out was the quality and how easy it was to get full, satisfying pieces of meat out of each cluster (no frustrating digging here!). Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and consistent from start to finish. If you're serious about crab legs like we are, this place is definitely one to try.
