STILL my favorite store. Always 100 % stocked, fruits vegetables greatly improved this year, excellent condition. Sushi created by this chef is the VERY best among the stores-- rice perfect soft not hard poorly cooked, pieces don't fall apart instantly, high turnover so ALWAYS fresh ( I am Japanese American). Deli staff do the best job making sandwiches. Bigger selection of brands because of greater shelf capability in this recently fully renovated store. I really like the organization, placement and ' flow' of products as you walk through the store. Manager often helps bag to get better consumer input. Employees seem more content here. Hmmm.... Not sure why all the hype. Went looking for great salad.... Sparse and picked over. Bradenton Store at LWR Blvd & 70 is great and always great selections. People there Always helpful and team together. I got in checkout at Sarasota Clark Road store .... Only two customers each in a line and 6 Public people ready to cash people out with no customers.... This Publux was close to Siesta Key. Right now it's open until 9:00 pm. After the sun sets around 8:15 pm, people start piling in for their last minute needs. I grabbed a few items and was off. They were well stocked and had plenty of staff on hand. read more

This store are very good. But here in Sarasota there is one thing I do not get. Whoever trains their employees overlooks very important issues. Example; I bought some groceries among them already made sushi. I took a few of those small plastic bags of soy sauce....When I paid for my groceries on of the small container of soy sauce fell on the floor. The cashier picks it up from the floor and puts it back inside my groceries bag! Get it? Groceries, FOOD, floor, GERMS, once something falls on the floor you do not pick it up and place back where items are for food consumption. There was a "manager" there that also did not "get it". So the get 3 stars from me. It would just be common sense not to drop food on the floor the customer is paying for pick it up from the floor and put it back in a grocery bag. is not sanitary. Their attitude was like "what's wrong with eating food that fell on the floor?"....wow. read more

Oh Publix, how I miss you! Publix is a great chain of grocery stores in the South, particularly in Florida, I believe. In my two years living in Venice, Fla. I frequented the Publix by my apartment and was always happy with the quality of the food and the service. The employees are really friendly and quick, too. Plus, they always ask if you need a hand out to your car. They also have awesome deli sandwiches better than Subway or Quiznos. read more

Never have I ever seen a supermarket receive so many stars on Yelp! I'm so used to 3 or less stars, I didn't realize 5 stars was even possible. I'm glad people also realize how great this supermarket is. #1 It's clean! REALLY clean. #2 The produce is really great quality. Compared to where I purchase my food in Phildelphia, the food at Publix was brighter, cleaner, and fresher. #3 There is so much variety! This is where I learned about my new favorite snack (The Better Chip). I have yet to find this brand in my local supermarket, but I'll keep looking! Overall, I am a fan. The carrot cake for my granddaughter's graduation from Riverview High school was decorated much more beautifully than I expected! The best Publix... They always are well stocked on every thing. Also the employees here are amazing! The store manager even went out of his way when my car wouldn't start and on a "Hot day" went outside and jumped my car.... People don't do that anymore! I was so impressed! This publix has a chubby young blonde employee who works the 10 items or less lane sometimes, this day there were only 2 lanes open the other lane had an old lady who was buying groceries for the year so I went to the fast lane I ended up having 13 items & this chubby blonde brat had the nerve to tell me "this lane is 10 items or less" I told her I just won't buy 3 items, & asked her if she thought her manager would approve, she started mumbling under her breath which is totally ticking me off now I asked her to speak louder she told me she didn't say anything, I said she may get away acting like that with her parents but not a paying customer. I was in a hurry to get home or I would have gotten a manager, I think this is better. she was a snarling little brat.. You need to re-train this one she's a little slow! read more

I might have found a new go to Publix. This was my first time here as we stopped on the way back from Disney World. I liked the set up this store better than all of the others that I go to. What is not to like about publix? Every publix in the Sarasota county area is the same, always clean, always helpful and they always have a great selection. If they don't have what you want, they'll get it in stock for you. I also love the publix pharmacy because you can get your medications at a discount or for free. Which is great for me and my mom because money is really tight right now. read more

I hope this is the right location! My overall view is that this store is clean, large variety, and the staff is helpful and friendly. For northerners, this place is an upscale Kroger. The produce section was well stocked with only the crispest selection. The variety of organic isn't comparable to whole foods, but it was more than adequate. Clean! Clean! Clean!
