Our first stop before we check into our timeshare is Publix Super Market. This Publix is mostly nostalgic as we've been coming since my youngest was 6 months old. I still look forward to this day grabbing large chicken tenders at the deli counter as well as all the necessities for our long stay. Stopped at Publix for lunch while on the way back to Jacksonville. We have an Rv and love all the room they have for Rv parking. Still lots of problems with this Publix ordering subs online. They never have them ready on time or ready at all, like today. Today they said the order never printed out to have my sub ready at all, although it was in their system. I have had problems here several times now, the sub is not ready when they say it will be, even if you give them 5-10 minutes extra. Today they never even had it made. I had to wait like 20 minutes longer. I hate to complain and wish they would just be ready so I could grab it and go pay, and be in and out fast. I dislike having to ask people or talking to managers or feeling stressed because they do not have your order ready at all. I like all to be positive, but the mediocrity of this store and management is bothersome and it has happened now many times. Some of the managers here have some major attitude issues. It is not the customers fault your systems/employees are failing you. I do love that they put in the self-checkout now, the issue here is the people who work in this area need to come and get the baskets or have a place to stack them by the checkout, as when you pay and grab your bags from shopping you have no extra hands to return the green basket and they make you feel guilty like it is your job to do their job and return that too. As customers in self-checkout, we are already saving Publix money doing the work ourselves checking ourselves out saving them a lot of money and less cashiers they have to pay. The cashiers overseeing self-check-out can be very lazy and put customers on guilt trips unnecessarily. They need to go quickly to remove their baskets and store them for their customers, not expect them to do everything. Publix has great food and subs, they just need to up their game a lot with better service, they have slid over the past few years, some of their employees seem high on drugs here while working and their is a lot of mediocrity from them, they should never make customers feel guilty for their mistakes and errors, we are customers, not their employees, yet sometimes they treat customers poorly here, and this impacts a pleasurable shopping experience for their customers. read more

Publix employee in the ladies restroom was in stall, could see her apron on the floor, and the worse part was she left the stall (non handicap so no sink in it) and left the restroom right away without washing her hands. read more

I went to pick up a birthday cake and four other items Publix 1035. When I went to the bakery to get the cake, the bakery clerk told me I needed to pick up the cake at customer service. I went and stood in line behind three other people at customer service with my cart and my daughter. The clerk at customer service asked a managerial person to come and assist since the line was backing up. The managerial person waited on one person. When I was next in line, the managerial person told Trudy the cashier that "we were all together" in regard to the gentleman in front of me. She left and I stood in line six more minutes. The regular cashiers were not waiting on people, and the store wasn't busy except for customer service. Trudy, the cashier was very helpful; the managerial person whose name I neglected to notice - not helpful at all, in fact, the opposite. read more

The store manager Melissa is so unprofessional and use to make homophobic remarks all the time when I worked for her. Equal rights didn't exist to her she hated that I was gay and would harrass me and say she's stalking my FB (meanwhile I didn't have a FB) I let her beleive I did because she was out of her mind. She said I'm not a girl so I can't wear my diamond stud ear ring. Made me cut my hair if it was anywhere near only 2 inches long meanwhile other guys that worked there she did not ask them to do the same it was only when I did it that it was a problem. It was so out of control I had my lawyer involved and we found out that she was sued in the past for sexual discrimination... WHY is HR pf publix letting this happen? Don't reward bad ignorance and behavior. She denied me a pay raise because of my sexual orientation as well. I got a lot of undercover people who would go up to her specifically and tell her what a great job I was.doing (which was supossed to be recognized) but she never once told me anything good. She actually would make up that I got complaints. Positive reinforcement doesn't exist with her. read more

The pricing here is a bit more than Walmart (which is the other grocery shopping option in town), however, the quality of food here is much better. The store is kept nice and clean and there are enough registers open when busy. Management is on top of any problems: I once complained and the issue was reversed immediately. Great grocery store. Helpful staff, clean store, BOGO weekly specials, and a tempting bakery. The Publix key lime pie is my absolute favorite! The bakery also gives children a free cookie. Their deli section makes tasty hoagies/subs, which are popular around lunch time. The Publix brand foods (which include canned goods, milk, snacks, and frozen foods) are good quality and cheaper than the national brands. They have a drive through pharmacy at this location, and Publix recently started offering specific antibiotics and blood pressure medication for FREE. (Thanks, Publix!) Lastly, when you check out, they offer to load your groceries into your car. read more

I was very impressed with the management and employees of this Public. I have been in the store several times, and each time I see one of the managers walking around checking on things. I have shopped at Publix for over 20 years in multiple locations and this is the worst one. Unfortunately this is the closest one to my current home. Items I regularly buy are routinely out of stock or just not restocked causing me to shop elsewhere. I'm usually there after 5:00 pm. It is next to impossible to find a manager at that time to discuss any problem with. Also if you run in for just a couple of items as I did today it is not uncommon to find the 10 item or less check out line filled with people doing their weekly grocery shopping! It took me 15 minutes to purchase 2 items. Publix shopping is NOT a pleasure at the Sebastian Blvd Store! read more

Wonderful store! My son was sick and we filled his prescription here for an antibiotic. A few days later I received a call from the pharmacy asking how he was doing and if I had any questions! It's the little things that make a difference! A little more expensive then walmart but the products and service are worth it read more

I was looking for cheesecloth and the deli Manger for help , even though I was sure it wasn't, his dept He was great and stoped what he was doing to go find someone who knew. The stockman we found told me where to find it. I thanked them both and went to the spot to get it. To my surprise I turned around to find them there to make sure I found what I was looking for. The pharmacy has good service only if you drop off or pick up. If you need to do both you must stand in two different lines. They will NOT let you do both in one line. THAT IS POOR SERVICE for the customer. When you do the drive up window you can do both but why not in the store itself? read more
