Sometimes fruit can be a hit or miss but they made sure I left satisfied! I'm so happy with my purchase. Everyone was so kind and helpful I like the energy in this store. This particular Publix is located on the corner on University and Goldenrod and is in a shopping plaza, so parking is not too much of an issue. It is an older style Publix and could do with a face-lift, but the customer service here is what we have come to expect from Publix. Again, this is an older Publix, but it has the usual cool enough supermarket vibe that if you have ever been in a Publix supermarket, you know the ambiance well enough. And with any Publix, we cannot fail to mention their subs, affectionately known as Pub Subs. My go-to is probably their Italian sub, though I do switch it up here and there. It does somehow seem wrong to say that Publix has some of the best subs in the sunny state of Florida, especially when I come from New Jersey, where we are pretty serious about our subs and other sandwiches. It might feel wrong to say a supermarket has some of the best subs in the Sunshine State, but it is true enough. We also must remember that Publix has regular BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, so keep an eye for them. The only negative that I could find with here is that they don't have enough of those shopping cart corrals in the parking lot. With great deals, incredible customer service and we can't forget those Pub Subs, Publix is a great supermarket option. I will give it five stars and I woukd recommend here. read more

Hands down best grocery store chain in Florida. BOGO every week that changes every Thursday. If any item rings up wrong you get that item for free. Rain checks and price matching is also a plus! This is Publix is a decent location. Overall the store is clean and easy to navigate. Like with any Publix the Pub Sub station depending on the time of day can be extremely long. Always best to place an online order. Always good to see the same smiling faces! read more

It's a Publix. This location is a little better staff-wise though. The employees are friendly no matter what area you are in. Extremely helpful and cordial all around. Visits to the pharmacy are always quick, professional and courteous, and trips to the bakery are filled with smells of fresh baked bread and cakes. (mmmmm, cake) Deli isn't too terribly crowded, but there have been times I've waited well over ten minutes to even get a "I'll be right with you, sir." Produce department is clean and always fully stocked, ne'er a dry bunch of broccoli in the house. And I always have to pick up some orange-n-cream almonds. Deals are always abound, you could throw a quarter and hit two BOGOs at least. I never plan my trips, just always wing it, and I usually fare pretty well, considering the baseline. HOWEVER, my gripe with Publix has always been the prices. Some people will say I'm crazy, though. Just because you buff your floors with an extra coat of Pine Sol, does not give you permission to charge me through the teeth for toiletries, cheese and freezer pizza. read more

2017's Yelp 100 Challenge 37/100 Free samples? Clean store? Great deli? Awesome prices? I LOVE PUBLIX! Outside of Winn Dixie, this is the store I frequent the most in Orlando. You are guaranteed to find the freshest produce & meats, friendly customer service, and never a wait to check out. Today on our visit we got some sandwiches from the deli, as well as Publix fried chicken. It was amazing! They even have their own raspberry lemonade which I plan on buying by the caseload. This is my favorite Publix, not just because it's literally 3 minutes from where I live but because they ALWAYS have everything I need. The main staples I purchase weekly can always be found here, like Pork Roll, Low Fat Tortilla, Ground Turket, 93/7 Ground Beef (green label), and sushi. Doesn't seem like much to some but it's so helpful when I can come here and always get what I need. There is plenty of parking available here. The staff is always helpful and nice. And their shelves are always stocked which is a huge plus! This Publix is super close by my house, so it's convenient, but more than that, it's clean, easy to navigate, and the employees are friendly. When you walk down an aisle, they say hello to you, and if you need help, someone is close by to ask. The produce here is fresh and the meats are as well. There's a good stock of almost everything else, except right at the beginning and end of the month some of the more popular sizes of air conditioner filters are out. read more

I will always love publix. I try not to be a supermarket snob...but Wal-Mart does so many things that I just don't appreciate that my conscience feels terrible when I shop there even despite my undying need to get the best deal because of a poor college student budget. Publix has always treated me nice. My husband and I are avid BOGOers and we usually end up saving $40-60 when we go there (and spending about $100). That's about every two weeks. I do also judge a place by its cleanliness. It is a place where we go to buy foods after all. They do get pricey on some items such as fruits and vegetables that I'd rather go buy at a local farmer's market. Overall Publix is my first shopping choice. I'm always disappointed when I go to Winn dixie. They may have better prices than publix for some things, but their quality and customer service is tragic. read more

Great new Publix located where the old K Mart was at the corner of University and Goldenrod. Target is on the other side of University, so this is a convenient little corner if you are on the East side of town/Full Sail area or hitting the Winter Park Costco which is just down the road. Service is friendly, Deli is not too jam packed. Layout is the newer layout, so it's easy to navigate. Nice Bakery that is well stocked. BOGO items are well stocked and easy to find. read more

This Publix is pretty nice! They are located in a small shopping center across from a regular Target. Their prices are competitive to Targets and are usually cheaper by up to ten cents to produce and grocery prices at Target. The Deli and Bakery seem to be larger than the average Publix and have a nice set up, nicer than some of the other locations I have seen. They carry a nice variety of specialty foods for dietary needs ranging from Gluten free to Sugar free to Vegan. The produce at this location is almost always fresh. I personally have not had any bad experiences at this location with the produce or even the packaged foods, name brand or Publix brand. If you're looking for quality produce and are willing to pay a little extra compared to Wal-Mart to assure quality, Publix is the spot for you. read more

Pumpkins and bales of hay decorated the outside (and were for sale), echoing the autumnal season. As you enter this Publix, some of their best deals are from my and center as well as the buy-one-get-one free bins. I took a glance, but my main mission was to get one of Publix's great subs. The staff at the deli were friendly and in a jovial mood as they joked with me and each other. I should've taken a picture of my awesome turkey sub, but I ate it too quickly. This store was clean and there were store associates offering their assistance around every corner. There were ample checkout lanes open, so I didn't spend too much time just standing around. I am a little sad that they opened this Publix on university instead of remodeling the one right next to my house. So now i have to drive an extra 5 minutes to do my food shopping. But the nice thing that it is a new store and provides a lot more variety then my old one.Plus the isles are nice and wide, so there are less changes for a traffic jam. I am not sure people know there one is even open yet, cause i have been here during rush hours, and it never seems that busy and the lines aren't too long. This is the only location (Publix- 4000 N Goldenrod Rd), that I've had an issue regarding the workers. One young lady at the register didn't acknowledge me when I said hello. During the checkout process she never said anything, but the gentleman behind me, I heard her saying hi to him. Today I saw her again & decided to give it another try. I said good morning as I approached her, (she was standing at the end of the register isle while on her phone). She didn't respond & rolled her head as she walked back to her register. This is the #1 worst Publix. I go here to cash checks or money services because it's really close to work and home but when I go in EVERYTIME they have some excuse to not cash the check then I go to another Publix to verify if it's the same it isn't the other Publix from university to altamonte springs cash my checks or western union transactions this is in a period of 8 months the excuses never end. Just avoid this Publix and go to another one or a different company because this locations is not worth the hassle. read more

Good inventory...fair prices and very courteous staff that are always helpful and ready to assist you with loading purchased items into your car. During my last visit they mentioned that I had purchased two bogo items that I did not realize. They allowed me to leave my bags at the register and retrieve the second ice cream that was on sale and the bagger went and retrieved a container of watermelon for me. Everyone is always friendly at this store. I shop here because I see the employees working and cleaning all the time... When I used to shop at Walmart, the place is gross and dirty and there's never anyone to help you when you have questions or need to check out. Publix is always staffed with great people. As someone who is disabled, I appreciate the drive-up pharmacy window and that the ride-on carts are kept charged. I can't tell you how difficult it is to be stuck somewhere in a store when the power runs out on one of those things....WalMart on Colonial is notorious for not keeping their carts charged....so kudos to this Publix store for caring. Also, the aisles are nice and wide also making using a cart easier. I particularly like this store's employees and how they will ask, when they are working a particular aisle or even just walking around, if you need any help without having to seek them out. Reaching into coolers or to items on the higher shelves isn't always easy for me so I appreciate that they care enough to ask if I need their help. read more

This Publix has a good variety of products; however, they could really do a better job of offering more organic products. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh, though. I'm always running in for last minute groceries that I need. The location is good, too. There is a nail spa in the plaza, as well as a UPS. read more

Not as good as Kroeger, but better than any of the regular grocery stores in Orlando. The one thing they do that is really outstanding is their deli counter. They make some of the best subs in Orlando and their chicken tenders are often voted among the best in town. Otherwise, they are a bit pricey on some things but the quality of produce and the general shopping experience is heads and shoulders above that chain from Arkansas with its own "People of..." website. The staff was so slow and so busy talking to each other, dancing, and fooling around, I eventually had to leave without my purchase so o could return to work on time. Man all I say about this store is their AWESOME!!! I came into store to get Publix fabric softener, which they were out of manager Mike explained to me that they should have some coming in a day or so, but he said instead of me coming back he offered a another brand ( which was higher price) for same price. GREAT!!! and to top that off another manager Kurt took me up front and open a line for i could check out. This is a great store to shop in.
