I'm a little surprised about the condition of this park since the rating is relatively high for what it is (3.8 as of the day I'm writing this). I typically like to eat breakfast or lunch with my kids at a park when we have early appointments across town. I decided to do that at Puccini Park earlier this week on our way back east, and the experience was pretty terrible. The tables and picnic area were filthy, grime and flies everywhere. I thought, at least the kids can play on the play structure after dealing with this gross dining experience, so there was something to look forward to. But no. There were teenagers hanging around the small play structure and occupying it. I saw another family with a toddler hoping to use the play structure, but they left when it became clear the teenagers weren't going anywhere. So my kids and I packed up and left. The play structure looked underwhelming anyway. We decided to try out Allegro Park a few minutes away. It wasn't the best nor the worst, but (most importantly) it was better than Puccini Park. Puccini would roll over in his grave if he knew this park was named after him. We definitely won't be going back to that park again unless they do a complete makeover! By the way, I realized now why the rating was strangely skewed. All the best reviews were from over 4 years ago. Looks like this park took a steep nosedive over the past few years sadly. I originally gave this park 2 stars since the location around it in Anthem is nice but am bringing it down to 1 star to level out the skew so people don't get fooled by that rating. Puccini Park is peaceful with plenty of shade, and it was being maintained while I was there. Still, the location next to a busy street wasn't my favorite, and the playground didn't feel very fun or updated. It seems more like a spot you pass by on a trail walk than a destination. I've been coming to this park for the past decade. It's at the perfect half way spot for my walks in the neighborhood around Seven Hills. This is a great area to have a picnic or bathroom break while doing the 4.3 mile loop via Seven Hills Drive & Grand Hills Drive. Tennis courts are open late, bathrooms are always open and clean, and during Covid they removed the hoops from the basketball courts to prevent people from congregating, but as of 8/11/2021, the hoops are installed again. Be warned, there are coyotes in the area as they live around the golf course next door. read more

This is a small park located at the entrance to Anthem. I met a friend for a picnic and we had a good time. Easy to find, basketball hoops, shaded picnic area, tennis courts and lots of trees for shade. Playground area closed at this time due to COVID. We found a nice spot under a couple big trees and kicked back. No one else there. There are many paths to walk/run from this park that will take you all over the Anthem community with plenty of up hill to secure a good workout. There are much prettier parks in this area of town, but this one is closest to where my friend lives. read more

The City of Henderson promotes itself as Play City. People visit adorable parks such as Puccini Park to play. Over the past weekend and earlier times in the past, I have visited Puccini Park to play. When I play, I hike and enjoy open spaces. Puccini Park is both a seven acre community park plus a jewel and trailhead along the Seven Hills Trail System. This review is separated into two sections. Section One discusses Puccini Park as a community Park then section two discusses it in relation to the contiguous Seven Hills Trail System. Section 1. Community Park : Puccini Park is a jewel in the Seven Hills master planned community where the perpendicular grid of the Las Vegas road system develops into the curving drives following the contours of the rolling hills. Laid out on four acres of rolling hills is Puccini Park. It is a horseshoe shaped park providing a sundry of recreation. The park is anchored by tennis and basketball courts. In between is an attractive playground, sand volleyball ball, and picnic tables. There are also restrooms. The landscaping is golf course green grass interspersed with trees and shrubs. The open green space merge with the Rio Seco Golf Club. From the east border of the park, there is a magnificent Vista of the beautiful golf course. Near the playground are shady picnic tables and benches. It was here where I took a breather from hiking on the Seven Hills Trail System. When I sat here, I'd share the open space with families and dog owners. This is likewise a dog friendly park. It is also a family friendly park . There was relatively zero vandalism or graffiti. Most of all, this park is hiker friendly. It was hiking that has led me into the park. Section 2 Puccini Park is a hiking trailhead: When you park at Puccini Park you have over an hour of hiking at your convenience. Puccini Park is interconnected to a hiking trail network that connects to the park lands of Seven Hills with the windy hiking trail acting as a linear Park. Health experts recommend walking briskly at least a half hour a day to be healthy. Considering that it took me an hour to walk from the parking lot along the trail to the Anthem border and back, Puccini Park is certainly a gateway to good health. I will describe the contiguous hiking trails in greater detail. Immediately west of the tennis court, the concrete Puccini Park walkway heads toward a tunnel passing under Seven Hills Drive. This is one of five tunnels in the trail system. Immediately past the tunnel you could turn right or stay straight. If you turn right, you walk downhill toward Allegro Park at the southernmost point of the Seven Hills. Continuing straight is a gradual uphill climb weaving through the tapestry of the rolling hills. At Vivaldi Park, the trail branches. The trail to the right parallels the open spaces of Henderson Airport until it concludes at a playground. This is a nice spot to take in the airplanes at the airport and a panoramic view of the Las Vegas Strip. The trail to the left passes under another attractive Seven Hills Drive tunnel before climbing uphill between the landscaped buffers of backyards. There is a trail junction before Sonata Park. The trail overlaps the green spaces of the park before passing under Seven Hills Parkway one more time. The trail continues the uphill climb until it finally concludes at the borderline of the Anthem Masterplanned community. This is the perfect spot to take in a breather and take in the spectacular view of the Las Vegas Strip below. By this point you will have done the hard part of the hike which is walking up. The hike down will be the easy part. Conclusion: The City of Henderson (and for that matter all cities in Southern Nevada), doesn't have to promote itself as Play City USA. Awesome park, but this review is about the traffic/speeders near the entrance of the parking lot. Be CAREFUL when you come here!!! People speed down those hilly roads at absurd speeds! If you have to turn left into the park make sure you do it quick! I almost got hit on the right rear passenger side where my BABY is in his CAR SEAT! Luckily I was able to just BARELY get out of the way of this speed daemon . This person actually had the audacity to, what looked like, they were going to get out of the car and who knows what.. maybe yell? But everyone at the park saw what happened and they could have had a baby's LIFE on their hands! To the people that drive near this park... SLOW THE FRICK DOWN!!!! There's children read more

Dog doodie alley. I've been running here in the morning and this place is filthy with all the dog poop on the trail and even on the lawns. You can see all the dog walkers in the morning not picking up. So sad our kids are playing in this. Terrible. read more

I love the park by our condominium. Clean. Spacious. Great walking /running paths. Always with security. Great light at nighttime.

Nice starting point for walking up one of 7 Hills' seven hils, and you'll be rewarded with an expansive view of the Strip. The park has tennis courts and sand volleyball, and the dreaded basketball courts. Hate'em, they are way too noisy to be in the middle of a neighborhood. Leave them indoors only. read more

Great little park near the intersection. They have volleyball courts, basketball, and tennis. Plenty of shade areas abound here. It's never to packed either even on the weekends. I enjoy using this place as a starting point to walk through the trails that wind through the Seven hills community. Only thing is that because there isn't any fenced off places and the close proximity to the road I would never take your dog off it's leash as that would be asking for an accident if it decided to run while you was here. read more

Very safe and nice area! I play tennis with friends who live in that community. Everyone who walks through the park are friendly. The tennis courts are kept in good shape! read more

Great doggy area and picnic area - restrooms are clean and usable. This park is fairly dark at night with poor lighting so plan your events earlier in the day. Seven hills is a moderate traffic area, please keep an eye out for wandering children. read more
