I finally made it to the store in downtown Ft. Mill. I actually met some sales reps as a Vendor at the Italian Festival in St. Philip Neri this year. That's where I was introduced and tried out this company for the first time. The owner was at the festival also. This made me want to seek them out and support a local company. I've been using the bacon me crazy hot sauce since this Spring and like it ($10). I've put it on eggs, tacos, and quesadillas so far. This time I came to the downtown store to get some gifts for folks in Indiana. I like giving stuff that's local and sending for folks up there to experience. I bought 4 of the Carolina Reaper Hot Sauce ($10 each) and 4 of the Ed's Picnic Sauce ($8 each). For Ed's birthday they are running a special 17% off now July 30th thru August 17th (Ed's Birthday). So, they made some money off me today. Lol. The store is very well organized with prices and heat levels on the signs. The lady at the counter was casual with no pressure or hovering. It's a cute little store to support a local business. I highly recommend you check it out.

If you are looking for pepper heat, you will find it here. The store features hot sauces, and condiments that will knock your socks off. Even the store clerk will warn you about the the products that are especially extremely hot for some people to eat. I sampled the sweet hot nuts and immediately had to drink some water. Paper cups and water available for drinking! l bought some reaper pepper seeds and dehydrated peppers for a family member. A nifty store even if you don't like hot peppers.

If thinking of spice makes your mouth drool in a good way, this place is a must visit destination when you find yourself in this part of the country. Known for their "Carolina Reaper Chilies," these hot sauces, mustards, salsas, barbeque sauces, are kicking. If you're like me, and feel like you've dabbled in the arts of eating competitively spicy food items; prepare to be rocked. These hot sauces and peppers are astronomically spicier than the well known ghost pepper chilies. When you step foot in this store, you are in the presence of greatness - I mean GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS greatness. Another great thing about this store is the pride they have for selling what they know best, how to locally grown chili peppers that will have your butt PUCKERING. Like spicy things but aren't looking to spend copious amounts of time on the toilet? Their collection is extensive. Using a 5 point scale, there are different variations of sauces and jams that range from mild to dangerously spicy. The one I chose to purchase at around $8 a bottle was a honey reaper hot sauce that made my tongue tingle and my mouth water. They also have a bacon, ham infused temperate hot sauce that was really tasty. The only thing I would recommend to this store/brand is to have some tangible things to munch on that would better allow the customer to sample a few of your items. While there are tiny spoons, I'm talking crackers, pretzels to be able to serve as a vehicle for these intense flavors. After about the fourth hot sauce, my mouth was almost numb and it was hard to taste anything else!

    Ed Currie is awesome!

A choice for every taste bud! All the employees were very kind and informative about the various kinds of sauces. My father and I tried the "Reaper Squeezin's." WARNING: NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. It was delicious and definitely worth the money. Plus right now you get 20% off! We tried the "I dare you stupit" hot mustard, our eyes were watering for 20 minutes! Plus, we met the legendary Ed Currie, inventor of the Carolina Reaper! In all, this place is perfect for all your spicy needs! We will be back!

All the peppers you want. More of a hot sauce company. The Carolina reaper is a novelty pepper. Can't really cook with it in my opinion.

OK, I'll just say we had "da** fine" meals. Fresh, seasonal ingredients combined in some unique and surprising ways, beautifully prepared and so, so delicious. Just look at the photos of a selection of our dishes. This was well worth an update of my earlier review. First, Speckled Pear has removed the community seating and the prepared food, bakery and produce counters from my earlier visits and replaced them with true "restaurant" tables. The focus is now squarely on dining, with lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch service. And oh, there's still a wine bar and bottles are still available for purchase. In my humble view a significant positive step. Our servers were excellent, including helpfully explaining some of the wine options (my wife and sister-in-law ordered a flight). Still a fairly casual environment. Great acoustics- I hate echo chambers. We sat close to other guests but were able to easily talk among ourselves without hearing any extraneous neighbor conversations. Dare I say, Speckled Pear is now a {insert tire company name} star-quality dining experience. In Fort Mill! PS - It's a small restaurant which filled quickly and early on the weekday we visited. Reservations are recommended.

We were also lucky enough to meet the chef who with his wife started the restaurant just about a year ago. They're just as warm as the rest of their team! Really looking forward to going back next time we're in Charlotte.

Every corner seems to open into another stretch of South Asian staples and comforts, the sort of selection that makes you realize how limited most other grocery stores really are. You get the big bags of rice stacked with that quiet confidence that comes from high turnover, the boxes and boxes of spices that hit you with that warm, earthy scent the moment you walk past, and a produce section that feels genuinely fresh rather than obligatory. The cut‑to‑order halal butcher is one of those rare touches that tells you they're serving a real community, not just filling space, and the frozen aisle runs long enough that you can lose a few minutes just scanning through all the breads, snacks, and ready‑to‑cook meals. It's one of those stores where you keep thinking you've reached the end of the offerings only to find another shelf of sauces or lentils or sweets waiting for you, and by the time you leave you realize they really do have simply everything. The menu changes regularly, so I try to visit whenever they announce a new one. Yesterday, we shared several small plates. The bacon-wrapped dates were phenomenal. I almost ordered a second serving before realizing we still had four other dishes coming! The chicken and waffles definitely satisfied my craving--crispy, savory, and full of flavor. The mushroom ravioli was also outstanding. We finished with the stuffed calamari, which reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was younger. It wasn't Asian-inspired like hers, but the concept brought back some wonderful memories. To top it all off, I enjoyed a delicious dessert while feeling pleasantly tipsy from the evening.
