Amazing food and service! The chai is amazing. I loved their naan and chicken tikka masala. This is like the best kept secret in Tega Cay. If I could eat here every day I would!

Great location, great diverse foods, and a nice " food court", a great addition, especially for the Indian community.

For instance, snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi , tile and trigger fish. Often times they will have a wide selection of frozen fish in stock. They have well stocked supply of flash frozen gulf shrimp from Florida or Alabama. Their prices will be a bit higher than what you might pay at your local Harris-Teeter or Publix but the quality far exceeds. Their big differentiator is their customer service. They are a small independently owned business so their customer service is exceptional. Today I stopped in and ordered some fresh Snapper and got 2 pounds of frozen gulf shrimp and their seasoning. I got great customer service from Thos & John who were very professional and helpful. They also have the Low Country Boil packages. See my photo that goes into detail on the three levels and pricing. Go check this place out and support your local independently owned business!

OK, I'll just say we had "da** fine" meals. Fresh, seasonal ingredients combined in some unique and surprising ways, beautifully prepared and so, so delicious. Just look at the photos of a selection of our dishes. This was well worth an update of my earlier review. First, Speckled Pear has removed the community seating and the prepared food, bakery and produce counters from my earlier visits and replaced them with true "restaurant" tables. The focus is now squarely on dining, with lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch service. And oh, there's still a wine bar and bottles are still available for purchase. In my humble view a significant positive step. Our servers were excellent, including helpfully explaining some of the wine options (my wife and sister-in-law ordered a flight). Still a fairly casual environment. Great acoustics- I hate echo chambers. We sat close to other guests but were able to easily talk among ourselves without hearing any extraneous neighbor conversations. Dare I say, Speckled Pear is now a {insert tire company name} star-quality dining experience. In Fort Mill! PS - It's a small restaurant which filled quickly and early on the weekday we visited. Reservations are recommended.

Really unique bites to eat, with a thoughtful combination of flavors and ingredients. It's a small spot with intentional design choices and a communal table. Outside of the incredible food, the service really stood out! They have a really kind, and knowledgeable team. We were also lucky enough to meet the chef who with his wife started the restaurant just about a year ago. They're just as warm as the rest of their team! Really looking forward to going back next time we're in Charlotte.

As a transplant to Charlotte for work, I'm always searching for the ingredients and flavors I grew up with, and this place delivers. From the fresh seafood counter -- where you'll find beautiful tiger prawns -- to the endless rows of fish sauce, oyster sauce, and every variety of soy sauce imaginable (sweet, dark, mushroom, Japanese), the selection is impressive. The aisles are thoughtfully organized by cuisine and region, which makes navigating the store surprisingly easy, even if you're new to Asian markets. The frozen section alone is worth the trip. If you're looking for dumplings -- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even Nepalese -- they've got you covered. And don't sleep on the handmade crepe cakes in the freezer. Yes, they're about $25, but they're stunning and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they rival the famous crepe cakes from Lady M in the San Francisco Bay Area, where those cakes can easily run over $100. At this price point, it feels like a steal -- and you'll definitely impress your guests. The produce section is another highlight. The ginger is incredibly fresh, and the variety is fantastic -- from gai lan and sweet chives to cebollitas (Mexican green onions) and crisp green beans. It's a true sensory experience for anyone who loves to cook. This isn't a trendy, boutique grocery store, and that's exactly the charm. It's old-school, practical, and stocked with the essentials. Toward the back right corner, you'll find pallets of noodles in every style -- Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean -- everything you could possibly need for home cooking. The butcher and fishmonger are also available to help, which adds a nice personal touch to the shopping experience. There's also a bakery inside with beautiful fruit-and-cream cakes -- the kind you'll recognize if you've ever celebrated in an Asian household. Light, fresh, and not overly sweet. And if you're a coffee lover, keep an eye out for Café du Monde coffee -- it's usually several dollars cheaper here than at typical grocery stores. A few friendly tips: * Go with a plan -- this place can be overwhelming in the best way. * Don't bring a big entourage unless they're ready to explore. * And if you visit the Pineville location, go hungry -- the food court alone is worth the trip. Both locations are fantastic, but the Pineville store is newer, larger, and especially fun to explore. Shop curious, cook boldly, and enjoy the adventure.
