The cauliflower appetizer was great, perfect amount of breading and soft inside. I got a salad loaded with bacon and banana peppers. They make their own ranch, and it was so thick...which I LOVED! We were in town on business and the amazing lady at out hotel suggested Pudders for supper. We all ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It was good. I ordered a side of Buffalo sauce with mine because it was not spicy enough for me. Also, it was served cold. It was good, but for supper I would have preferred it served hot with the wrap a little grilled so the cheese would have been melted and hot all the way through. I like my lunch wraps cold but my supper wraps hot! It was good, though! Stop by and check them out. We sat at the bar so I could have my Bud Bottle-no glass with my spicy wrap! The bartender says you can come back in.....that their system was down and helping servers.....why couldn't you just told me that while I was waiting??? Traveling along I-74 toward Indianapolis looking for a spot to stop for supper, I came across Shelbyville. Pudders was at the top of the list when I played Yelp Roulette. I really liked the choices of pub food they had. Pudders is located downtown in an old building that had been remodeled. I was really torn between 3 items on the menu, 2 of which were burgers. But I asked the waitress if I only ate here once in my life, what do I need to eat. She said the pulled pork nachos so I went with it. These Nachos were impressive! The pulled pork was nice and tender. The queso was creamy and white. Jalepenos and tomatoes added some deliciousness to my nachos. However, I didn't care for the BBQ sauce on it. It tasted very similar to the BBQ sauce I hated in my last review. If I m back in Shelbyville though again, I will stop at Pudders again. Too much good stuff on the menu to try. read more

This was our first time and it was a little frustrating. My sister and I, our husbands took our parents out for the evening. We decided to go here for the variety of food and their yelp rating. I stopped here to have a cocktail and get carryout. I found parking on the side street just off the circle. I went in and sat at the bar. I ordered a Bloody Mary and placed my to-go order. The bartender was nice and my drink was good. As I looked around and was taking photos I became a bit uneasy about eating there. In my photos you will see cobwebs in the lighting and the really dirty mirror behind the bar. This was about 5:30 so not after a long day and night. My order was a 7" Philly Cheese Steak pizza, pulled pork nachos, and hot wings. My order was correct when I received it. The wings were ok, the pizza was not the greatest flavor wise but the nachos were a complete bust. They were a soggy mess, maybe because oddly there is slaw on top? I'm new to this town. I just moved here and started my career. This was the first restaurant I visited and it made me feel like I was at home. The waitress was very nice and speedy. The atmosphere was relaxed and country. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap was really good. It was almost too hot to eat. I saved half for leftover and it was just as good then. It was slightly spicy, had plenty of sauce, and had a good crunch to it. The Macaroni and Cheese was cool not because it was in cast iron but because it was made with queso cheese. It was Al dente and had queso cheese poured on top. Definitely would get again. read more

The fried banana peppers were ADDICTING. The burger was just okay, I wouldn't order it again. I would probably order pizza next time I go, another person at my table ordered it and it looked amazing. Wife and I stopped in for lunch, never been there before. Ordered a breaded tenderloin sandwich, it comes with fries, as priced. Waitress asked if fries was OK with that, I said I'd rather have cole slaw. She then says that it will be a $2 upcharge. I looked at the prices for side items, fries were $4, and slaw was $3. so they not only save a dollar on my order, but charged me another $2 for doing that for them - or about an extra 10% tacked on to my bill. I booked the Pub at Pudder's for a reunion type party. Bryan, the owner, made sure everything was perfect. He even made sure my specific pie requests were 100% correct. Bryan was present the entire event insuring the service was superb. The staff were nice and attentive the whole 4 hours. I highly recommend Pudder's for an event or just a drink. Stopped by last year the Sunday Catfish was unreal, sorry to say today it was not good. The fried catfish was over done & the grilled was sent out way undercooked. The coleslaw was the highlight of the food as the hush puppies were like rocks. We waited at the the table for over 10 minutes before our server came over & the whole experience with her was as though she wanted to be somewhere else. Update: I had the Cajun chicken sandwich which was good but oily ( look at the picture of the sandwich I posted). The onion rings was the worst tasting side I have ever had in my life. I think that the oil it was fried in was being overused and is used to fry all the fried dishes that they make. It had a horrible after taste .. I could tell that a lot of fish was fried in the same oil. Plus the coating was flaky too. The wait time was a little high and there were flies near the table. read more

Great food and great service. I recommend trying the managers special burger. It rotates daily and gives the chef an option to just cook! They ask you if you are allergic to anything and then just make what ever they are feeling that day. See the picture and caption on my review to see this awesome burger they whipped up for me. Reason for four stars has nothing to do with food or service, but rather their ventilation system. The smoke from the kitchen is overwhelming and needs to be corrected. Hurrah! A fun new dining experience in the 'ville! Our group of 13 had a great experience. Our table was ready when we arrived, our server was spot on, and everyone loved their food. The complimentary chips were tasty and plentiful. We had salads, soups, wraps, pizza, burgers, tenderloins....it's all good. Seems like the kitchen and servers have it all together. This restaurant is a very nice dining experience. The food is good as well as the service. The menu has a wide variety of items to choose from. There is a bar for those who It is family friendly. The building was formerly a hardware store and fortunately some of the decor of the old building has been retained. It overlooks the downtown area which was recently renovated. Stopped in while visiting a friend in town! She suggested I try pudders! I have to say it's very clean the seats are all spaced out for safe social distancing. Our server was very friendly and gave us a couple of suggestions! We had the BBQ Burger, Bacon chicken ranch pizza and the pulled pork nachos (my fave) I have to say everything was wonderful but the nachos is what I'm coming back for!! I ordered the Wednesday special which was a two item pizza with breadsticks. I had the paramersa pizza before so asked for that without oinions. I was ok if I had to pay extra for the extra topping but I wasn't excepting to not get a pizza sauce on the pizza! Not sure if that was the deal or it was forgotten! Oh where to start, I made a yelp account because of how terrible this place is. Its been a couple days since I went and I forgot to write this review, but as soon as I remembered I felt the need to help my fellow humans, please avoid this place. They were out of burgers, mozzarella sticks, cheese balls, Philly cheese steaks, and I stopped listening after they kept listing the items as I was laughing to myself. Anyways, got a beer to accompany my appetizer, which was room temperature. The glass that they used to serve the beer was cold, but the beer was warm, not sure how you manage that. The appetizer was the one thing they didn't mess up, I assume it's because it was just fried tots that I'm sure were frozen and bought from the store. After waiting for 45 minutes for our food with no apologies or updates on why it was taking so long (half the restaurant was empty, even if they were understaffed in the kitchen, it would've been nice to know.) we got our pizza and wings. Our pizza was cut wrong, seemed like a child cut it. It was cut in triangles but also party cut; not very finger friendly to pick up. Doesn't matter how it's cut as long as it's good right? Well the meat lovers pizza we got somehow was burnt and raw at the same time, lovely. It rivaled a $2 Jacks frozen pizza in quality, wish I could say it rivaled it in price as well but unfortunately not even close. I also made the traumatizing mistake of getting boneless wings, after being told I couldn't get two sauces for 25 wings (???) I got sold on 2 separate 15 count of wings. I'm not sure how you mess up boneless, premade chicken nuggets but they sure did! Chicken was tough as a chew toy, and they barely put sauce on one of the orders of wings. We ate about half of our food as we were starving and had waited an hour, so we felt obligated to, plus we weren't going to just leave, that's rude. Our bill was around $65, we couldn't stop laughing at how horrendous this all was and how much we were paying. FYI, We weren't rude to the staff, we paid the bill, and tipped 20%, but Jesus Christ the food as awful (the 10% of the menu that they did have) and the service could definitely use some work. Avoid at all costs; you can have a way better meal anywhere else, even a gas station. (I'm so serious) read more
