The Chicken Inn is a wonderful little family owned diner that has been serving fried chicken and other comfort foods for several generations. The Inn has moved at least three times over the years. The current location is not fancy, but homey and casual. I had a late lunch with several friends yesterday. Our server was amazing and gracious with one of my elderly friends (and the rest of us as well). Beverages came out quickly and food took about 20 minutes. Loved my unsweetened tea and water was kept ful The menu and specials are pretty simple. You select an entree or sandwich and one or two sides. Sides consisted of mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, onion rings, fries, etc. - pure comfort food. I had the dark meat Fried Chicken with Slaw and Homer's Onion Rings. The fried chicken is hot with a light breading that comes out super crispy. The meat is tender and moist. The onion rings were hand battered and crispy. The slaw is juicy and sweet. My husband had the Fried Walleye which was fabulous. There are limited vegetarian option. My vegetarian friend had a grill cheese sandwich and slaw. Unfortunately, we did not save room for the tempting homemade pies and cobbler. Restroom clean with chicken decor. Expect a wait if you come during peak times. They have a following. They cater!

Definitely the right amount of small town vibes. I've stopped here before for lunch staff still just as friendly. This place is known for their chicken and is delicious for sure! Don't overlook the breaded tenderloin. One of the best I've had.

So before Fox 59 featured this restaurant on Where Is Sherman, we wanted to try this pace and had already been suggested. My friend from Cincinnati joined me on Saturday. Excellent greeting from q delightful man! Welcomed us and suggested we sit at a clean table. We were quickly greeted from a young lady who took out drink order. We were then approached by our server who asked to take our order. While we weren't ready he cheerfully suggested he come back. We both ordered the side salad as one of our sides. The only Make the blue cheese in house and it was delicious!! I ordered the 3 piece all b white dinner for $15. My friend ordered the chicken tender dinner. My chicken was very tasty... more like broasted, but very delicious. Most on the inside...my friends fingers were average. Here is where the 3 atar comes in. Mashed potatoes were instant. Not a fan and totally tasted instant. Checken was a B... sides were a D... C at best.. Wish this would have been our new go to fried chicken dinner... not bad, but not making an hour drive.

By far the best fried chicken ever! Their chicken is so juicy and fresh, unlike others we've tried. It's also tasty as leftovers.

It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

What was previously a surprisingly elegant dining space with exquisite steaks and specialty items in an Indiana casino, is temporarily their main restaurant. Service still excels and the food is tasty. I ate the crab cakes (appetizer) as an entrée and couldn't finish. The texture was perfect and the taste was very good. My dining companion had the filet accompanied by the asparagus and said it was fantastic! In addition to a few steaks--there is a chicken entree, sandwiches and other lighter meals on the menu. The bar is full service although they were out of the Tom Gore Chardonnay tonight.

It was a Friday night and we were about 15 minutes early for our reservation. We were greeted at the door of the restaurant as soon as we walked in. We were immediately ushered to our table. Our waiter was at the table a few minutes later to introduce himself and see if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered the Second Circle martini and the hubby got an iced tea. Our excellent waiter was Patrick. The Second Circle martini is Woodford Reserve bourbon, Ruby port, maple syrup, and Bitters. The martini was good with the overriding flavors being the port and maple syrup. Really did not taste the Woodford but I liked it. Someone brought a bread service to the table and poured water. Patrick took our order for starters when he brought the drinks back. We ordered the steak tartare and the chicken livers. I have had the chicken livers here before and already knew that I liked them. The chicken livers are served on a bed of frisee lettuce, sweet red onions, and aged balsamic vinegar. This perfectly complements the crispy on the outside and tender on the inside chicken livers. The hubby liked the steak tartare better. The steak tartare was made with black garlic, egg yolk jam, shiso, a bone marrow cracker, and togarashi. Both were tasty ways to start our meal. Patrick took our order for dinner when he brought out our starters. The hubby ordered the 14 oz New York strip and a loaded baked potato. I ordered the lobster bisque and coho salmon. In addition I ordered another martini, the vanilla espresso martini. Patrick brought my lobster bisque out shortly after that. This was very tasty and reminiscent my favorite lobster bisque. The only thing I would change would be to make it a little bit thicker but it had excellent flavor it had a little bit of pernod cream and a few bites of lobster. Our dinner was brought to the table and he set the baked potato in between us because it was huge any thought we might want to share it! The hubby ordered his steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and he said it had great flavor. My coho salmon was cooked perfectly as well and I had never eaten wheat berries and they were slightly crunchy giving the dish some texture. We both really enjoyed our main dishes with no complaints. To top off the night I ordered coffee with cream and creme brulee. He brought my coffee to the table in a stainless steel pitcher and he brought a pitcher of cream and he had also taken the extra step to warm up my coffee cup. This was awesome! I love my coffee to be very hot and this was perfect. A little bit later he brought the creme brulee in the hubby and I shared it the burnt sugar on top was nice and crusty and we had to crack through it just like you should. We had a very enjoyable meal and will definitely be going back. I would suggest asking for Patrick on your trip in as he did an excellent job.
