He is responsive and even answers all of my dumb questions (I am a first-time pool owner). Prices are in line with the industry average, but he truly cares about the pool and does a good job every week! The proof is the report that he sends with each service with pics!

Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month. When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

No communication about the schedule or owner would say workers would be here and then no one showed up; again, without any communication. Had to constantly text and leave multiple voice mails before any response. No supervision of work so some work had to be redone. After 7 months the pool never was completed and our yard was left all torn up, We had to figure out ourselves what to do and find people to do at additional cost to us. We thought we did due diligence prior to choosing this company. Learning point is to be sure business is BBB accredited which this one is not.

You constantly have to contact him and then pray one of his workers shows up. After shotcrete applied, it took 7 months to complete my pool! His workers just disappeared! Additionally, I have had warranty issues since my pool was constructed by him, well over a year now, without any resolution (light doesn't work, filter nosel broken, etc.) . Loud and noticeable air bubbles in both the pool and spa. Spa jets not having appropriate pressure. Plaster application was not performed well but he never came out to comment on it until a year later. Finally, items are in the contract, that were paid for, still not taken care of. His workers also destroyed my fence by digging and placing plumbing right next to the fence poles. Another $14k+ extra spend. I attempted to come to a resolution by identifying a chiller/heat pump to be installed for free instead, which he agreed upon. Of course, that was never installed. He also parked a digger in our front lawn for 5 months which was well after excavation and uneeded for our project (free parking?)?. Constant hassle of attempting to get work done and completed/fixed. I wish I had gone with a more established company.

Texas Pool Care is, without exaggeration, one of the worst companies I have ever had the…read moredispleasure of giving money to -- and I say "giving" loosely, because at this point they're just helping themselves to it. We hired them expecting basic, competent pool service. What we got was missed appointments, zero communication, and a bait-and-switch on pricing. We were quoted $150 a month. The actual charge? $195.12. Not even close. They just slapped whatever number they felt like on our bill and hoped we wouldn't notice. So we canceled. And that's when the real circus began. After cancellation, they charged us $195.12 anyway. Getting that refund back was like pulling teeth from a rabid alligator -- over a month of repeated phone calls, being passed around, and hearing the same hollow promises that "it's been taken care of." We got confirmation our service was canceled. We got assurances, plural, that we would never be billed again. Fast forward two months -- and there it is. Another $195.12 ripped straight out of our account. No service rendered. No authorization. No shame whatsoever. Let me be blunt: this is not incompetence. Incompetence happens once. This is a pattern. Cancel, confirm, promise, then charge anyway -- rinse and repeat. That's not a billing error. That's fraud. Plain and simple. I have wasted hours of my life on phone calls, follow-ups, and disputes that exist solely because this company either cannot or will not stop taking money that does not belong to them. I have the phone records. I have the bank statements. I have the cancellation confirmation. Every single receipt of their dishonesty is documented and ready to go. We are now in the process of reporting our card as compromised and replacing it entirely -- because apparently the only way to stop Texas Pool Care from charging you is to burn the card to the ground and salt the earth. That should tell you everything you need to know about this company. This isn't about $390.24 anymore, though they can choke on that too. This is about a company that looks you in the eye, tells you it's handled, and then picks your pocket the second you turn around. They have earned every ounce of scrutiny and then some. If negative stars existed, I'd bury them so deep underground they'd need a pool pump to dig themselves out. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Texas Pool Care -- unless you enjoy being lied to, overcharged, and robbed after you walk away.
