WOW WOW WOW!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about my…read moreexperience with Dions in commerce city off of 104th Ave. I ordered delivery around 4:45 PM. Estimated delivery time at 5:15. I received information from the DoorDash driver that he was stuck in traffic. I understood, did not have a problem with that at all as it was rush hour and people were heading home from work, this continued on for about an hour until he had to cancel my order because he was not able to get to me. I called Dions and let them know the situation. The manager informed me to place my order again and they would get it sent out right away and refund me for my previous order. I messaged the new driver, letting him know there was traffic and to maybe take a different route. Unfortunately, he did not get the message in time and ended up being stuck in the same traffic and had to do the same thing... cancel my order. I called Dions, not upset with the situation because life happens! I just wanted to make sure that I would get refunded for both orders. The manager was extremely apologetic and told me she was going to send one of her employees to personally deliver my food. I insisted that it was totally fine and she didn't have to do that but she was adamant and said they would be leaving soon! The employee arrived with my food within 15 minutes and she was so kind. This is absolutely going above and beyond and I am truly grateful for that!! I will 1 million percent return and recommend everyone to this location!!! Well done, Dions!!! You have an amazing manager and amazing staff running that business!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

The restaurant sits in the heart of a busy retail and dining hub, making it easy to find and conveniently surrounded by other businesses. Walking in, we were immediately impressed by the décor and the overall atmosphere. There is a viewing platform where kids can watch the cooks preparing pizzas, and from the dining area, you can see the full kitchen and the coordinated movements of the team as they prepare pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. You order at a counter, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Since it was our first visit, we asked for recommendations, and they were happy to oblige. We ended up ordering the Napoli pizza on the original hand-stretched crust. I ordered the lemonade, which turned out to be an outstanding recipe. I'd dare say it might give Chick-fil-A a run for its money as my favorite lemonade. The pizzas take about 18-20 minutes to prepare, so plan accordingly. Knowing that everything is made fresh and seeing just how busy the restaurant was, I was completely fine with the wait. The kitchen is well-staffed, and everyone is clearly working hard, so you can tell they're moving as quickly as possible without cutting corners. , The pizza itself was excellent, generously topped, with a great balance of cheese that complemented rather than overwhelmed the other ingredients. The crust was the perfect thickness with a wonderful flavor. I actually found myself looking forward to eating the outer edges as I finished each slice.

There is a strange smell about the place (think old folks home), I don't know if it is the building, the food, or something else. Ordered the calamari and although technically it could be considered calamari, I would have called it "squid frites", no rings and no tentacles just strips in the shape of fries. The marinara/cocktail sauce was a bizarre combination and did nothing to help the seasonless squid frites. I ordered the combination lunch which consisted of beef ravioli, lasagna, and spaghetti. The ravioli was fantastic and the spaghetti was on point as well. Great red gravy. The lasagna however was over cooked and the noodles soft almost mushy. Ordered 2 meatballs to accompany my dish and they were more mealy than firm. Would not order them again. My friend ordered the steak and cheese (which was almost $30) and was surprised when it came out as the steak was not shredded or sliced but an entire filet which made the price point make a little more sense. The bun was not the expected Italian bread roll/loaf but something else entirely that felt grocery store bought. Additionally, the sandwich arrived soggy so basically my friend had a steak (sans bread) with mozzarella and canned mushrooms on it but certainly not the expected Philly-style steak and cheese. The service once seated was pretty good. Would go back given the same set of circumstances but would steer clear of anything not pasta related.

Of the several available we were given one that upon, my son getting out to go to the restroom after ordering, we found that seat was ripped and the seat itself no longer attached to the base so it jumped when someone moved. By then, with how many folks had come in, there wasn't an option to move. Three of us got their three-fer special that was salad, entree and dessert. My son got a burger and tots. I chose to get the garden salad with ranch, a calzone with pepperoni and jalapeno and the Cookizza slices, which was half a regular cookie. The salad was fresh and the ranch was tasty. I liked my calzone and took half home for lunch the next day. For me, the Cookizza half a cookie was plenty. My daughter and husband both upgraded to the whole cookie. Overall an ok experience.

I ordered steamed broccoli for my toddler and they served us what seemed like broccoli in a shallow dish with water and was microwaved, barely cooked all the way through. Then there was my calzone, I order one with chicken, black olives and pineapple. Half of the calzone consisted of dough, most of it raw still. Then the chicken was charred and burnt in areas, leaving a very unsatisfying burnt taste in your mouth and the pineapple was pale and soft. Old Chicago has gone downhill; I gave this location a chance and I will NEVER go back. To ANY Old Chicago. Gross food, and the lack of cleanliness in the dining room was also unappetizing.
