I started by following my GPS to a place called Krome Brewing Company and ended up at a place that resembled a ranch, with a laid back backyard vibe. We pulled up to loud karaoke (I thought I was in someone's personal party) and thought we might have been at the wrong spot lol. When you walk in its a bit confusing but if you keep walking past your confusion you'll walk up a short flight of steps that lead you to a pretty large seating area with 2 fairly large chandeliers and a bunch of large park benches. The vibe was definitely chill and relaxed. The disappointing part was the lack of beverages... you'll have a fairly basic selection Corona, Heineken, Bud etc. and the servers weren't as attentive as they should have been, I asked for a beer and the server basically forgot.. she was too busy talking to her coworkers at the bottom of the steps to even pay attention to us... Now the food!! While you sit on these wooden benches you get the aroma of wood burning BBQ/Grilling and watch as the bandeja paisas go past and OMG they are delicious!! The only down fall was the cold chicharrón de cerdo.. but other than that pretty yummy! As you look past the benches toward the back of the establishment they have a large play area for the kids including a bouncy house and pony rides. I would have loved to give a 5 star review but the service threw me off... And another big plus! They have live music 3 different performances within a few hrs of being there. We found this place while seeing the bounce houses while driving down home through Krome. We stopped by and really enjoyed everything the location had to offer. A lot of tables in the area, fans, bounce houses and pony rides, chickens walking around everywhere lol! Pony rides are $10 I believe. Bounce houses require a seperate addmision and sadly are only for young children. Great place to take your kids! They even had a live comedy person/singer and made everyone laugh while they were there. Wide selection of items to choose from on the menu but your typical bills for like a few drinks and a meal will probably be $50 depending on what you order. It's a shame what this place has become: Zero quality of food with an overpriced menu. First time I came to this place was in 2017, it wasn't as big and the food was good. I am Colombian and know good from bad, the food is not good nor authentic. To have the audacity to call this colombian food is embarrassing. The only Colombian thing here were the singers who were nice- and I think that's the only reason I'm okay with giving the mandatory 1 star review. For the typical dish, bandeja paisa, you get a variety of things on your plate, nothing was worth it. Especially when the bandeja costs $28! Unbelievable how it's so expensive for such garbage. The beans that it comes with are embarrassing, it's brown murky water with huge chunks of fat in it with a few bean peels. I didn't realize it was this expensive when I ordered it- shame on me! It is not nice or appropriate to charge these prices for some podunk place that has horrible food while you swat flies off your shit as soon as the food gets there. The chicken tenders and fries are pretty bad: the fries got hard and bad just when they became edible. The best way to describe the tenders are finger-long rectangles that are curled up and breaded and fried with dark brown spots. The servers are not even Colombian, not that it's a requirement but, I'm sure you can't find any decent Colombians that would be able to happily sell this embarrassing menu. Horrible service. My dad grabbed the receipt without looking at it and when they gave him the receipt to sign, I wondered why it was so expensive. It was only 2 of us. The lady never gave us back the original receipt to see what was wrong. I asked to get a print out of the receipt again and took her time (probably waiting for us to give up and leave. We were the only ones there in the restaurant) when they gave us the receipt they didn't even tell us that gratuity was included. No where in the menu was this pointed out. I loved this place but today was a little dissapointed when their Tostones con Hogao were made using frozen Tostones. They used to serve these delicious Tostones made with Fresh green plantains served big, thin and crispy on a plantain leaf. What a delight. But now using Frozen Tostones from a bag. Terrible. Drove down from West Palm for mother's day lunch. Been here several before, always a treat, but today the food was the absolute worst. The empanadas were soaked in grease, looked as if they've been sitting in the warmer for a while, the tostones were stale, I think they're the frozen type. The churrasco was a thick cut, not like it should, the rice overdone "mushy". Ordered 3 coconut lemonades, that tasted like pure coconut cream, no lemon what so ever. I asked them to please remake them, and their response was that they're only allowed a half a lemon to make them, they offered to add some lemon juice. I spent $146, ordered 3 churrasco plates, one bandeja paisa, 3 coconut lemonades, 10 empanadas and one beer. Never again. read more
