It was Saturday, which is a cheat day for me! I wanted carbs but something different from the usual, I had grilled chicken and rice and beans. My food was good, the chicken was juicy and the rice and beans were on point, my service was ok, I only say ok because I use to be server and I gave great service. You never make anyone wait for a bill, idk my server name but when I asked for the bill she past the computer and went to another table to take a picture for that table. In the world of servers that is so rude, when a customer ask for the bill you give it to them immediately, it may be the only thing saving your tip. . But I still tipped 20%. Recently ordered takeout because I use to buy from here often and food was normally good but extremely disappointed. My hubby and I got baby churrasco with moro, plantains, and fries. Churrasco had a strange taste and too chewy. Moro was eh, did not taste fresh, maybe it was old. Plantains were awful! I was only able to take one bite. Fries were the only decent thing on our plate. On top of the crappy food, we paid over 60 dollars plus tip. Prices went up and food went downhill. This location has lost it's touch and it's a shame because they use to be good. I do not recommend. Do not get crema de malanga!! It felt like I was eating some time of glue or adhesive. No flavor!!! I tried to add butter and pepper hoping the $ wasn't thrown away and it was not good!! What a hidden local gem! My uncle had white rice, black beans, and grilled fish. The fish was tender, moist and delicious. I had a Miami sandwich. The bacon, ham and cheese was cooked perfectly. The restaurant was clean, the service was good and it's very reasonably priced. read more

Its the 2nd time this week I order here and both times the rice seemed to be a day old rice. White rice is not that difficult to make and should never be old. If you want fresh food you'll find it at Pollo Tropical not here. FYI, my daughter said that rice didn't make her feel good. read more

My friends and I love going here for Saturday breakfast & most recently my husband and I started ordering their weekly cantina. Their food is always delicious and portions are giant! We usually have enough for dinner and lunch the following day. It is very affordable and helps alleviate the need to cook. Our favorite waitress is Lupe, who always treats us like family. read more

I've been frequenting Riconcito for years. My father used to bring me here as a young teen, now I bring my own daughters here. With the sidewalk window service at the front door, you're always greeted with a smile and a nice "Hola". The atmosphere is pleasant with a family style of dining. You can choose a table or a booth for more privacy. The food is good and the restaurant is clean. The prices are great for the amount of food served. It's in a shopping center where parking isn't the most accommodating, but your experience inside of Riconcito will make you forget about the crazy drivers! Today was my 15 month old daughter's first visit, she loved her ham, fries and fruit punch. I love that toast and Cafe con Leche comes with all of the breakfast meals. Yum! read more

I love latin food and this was the worst experience I had at a Latin restaurant. To start there was a roach in the water. At this point we informed the manager and the manager did not say anything or apologize for the rodents. The place wasn't that clean and flys we're flying in our food. The quailty and taste of the food was below standards. This restaurant was recommended by family and they was sadly mistaking. In addition, the service was not acceptable because we had people from our party get up and pay their own bill, get their own drinks, and track the waiter down for service. Food is good. Prices have gone up but portions haven't and the staff is STILL walking around looking miserable. Also, if you do not speak Spanish, they will treat you as if you're an idiot. I'm Hispanic and fluent in Spanish however when I bring a friend who doesn't speak spanish, they cringe at the thought of having to speak English. I could translate for them but their attitude towards the idea of even having to make an attempt to speak English just keeps me from trying. My hubby ordered the chicken a la milanesa the chicken was HORRIBLY tuff not edible at all. I got the media noche because I honestly didn't think u can actually mess that up... Well THEY DID. This place is horrible. I continue to go there because the food is great. Every time I go the service is terrible and getting worse, I think this is the last time i will be going. The girls spend all the time doing the gossip stuff and do not pay attention to the customers. To get water you need to get up and ask someone for it. Today two customers walked out because they waited 35 min and no one even notice they had sat down. TALKING, TALKING. at the time, the restaurant only had 4 tables with customers. Last week they had a drunk inside talking all kinds of drunk stuff and bothering the customers with his loudness. But all they did was sit him down at the bar. I was there for over 40 min and the drunk was still sitting and drinking.
