We had the food delivered so I cannot give a review on the service or the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The food was just ok. It was not bad and it was not something to rave about. I ordered a Chicharron burrito and was excited to try it, but it left me disappointed. My girlfriend ordered beef enchiladas and she said the beef had very little flavor. Came in for menudo and it sucks The menudo is over cooked and mushy. I would not recommend this place. They didn't even offer a refund. I only had 2 bites of it. The prices were really reasonable, so if you are looking for quick take-out on a budget, it's definitely a step up from fast-food. I ordered a breakfast burrito with carne asada, steak. It was pretty bland. Also ordered a Tamale, that was very good! Almost as good as the tamales in California, I just moved from their about six months ago and have been on a quest to find decent Mexican food. I returned that afternoon and ordered the Grande Nachos with chicken. It was above average. However, the chips were too salty. I would order it again though. I also order a couple of Carne Asada tacos... now, they were pretty good! I will definitely be back for more of those. Their green salsa was also very good. I'm an absolute sucker for good mexican food and always try to keep an eye out for a new, good place. I've tried, what feels like, every mexican restaurant in the northern Colorado area, and most are unbelievably bland. What I love about this restaurant is that it is owned and ran by hispanics. They don't have to try too hard to make their food delicious, it just comes naturally. Everything tastes homemade. Their chips and salsa are even home made. You can hear them making them right there. They have amazing al pastor. It's marinated perfectly! And their tortas are mouthwatering. If I could eat here everyday, believe me, I would! You will not regret eating here! read more

The dinners don't impress me (except the tacos are pretty good), but I feel this place stands out primarily because of their large and deliciously flavorful breakfast burritos. The sauces, salsa and green chili they add to orders enhances the flavor and really makes everything pop. Swing by and try one for yourself. Wow. In my 28 years of life I've had a lot of tamales, but never a tamale that tasted as good as my grandma's, until now. Mi Tierra makes tamales that taste JUST like my grandma's tamales - absolutely delicious! The rice and beans are great. And the Pozole is amazing!! We've done delivery twice now and will continue to do so. My only qualm is that you cannot order a large side of rice and/or beans. I'd like to order 1/2 dozen or 1 dozen tamales a la carte and add large sides of rice and beans a la carte, but rather you have to order a tamale plate and I don't think the rice and beans given with the tamale plate is enough. Maybe this is only on the delivery and takeout apps, but when looking at the menu on their website, it looks like they just don't sell a la carte sides. I'll update this when I find out more! read more

Good breakfast burritos made fresh. Good huevos rancheros but you have to custom order the way you want. Nice spicy sauce and the red salsa will make you sweat but also has good flavor. We ordered the fajita salad one time and it was too salty, but everything that day was too salty. I prefer the breakfast options so far. Will need to order more extensively from the menu. I come here with my buddies multiple times per week. The food, along with the service, is fantastic. Wilson is especially great as he has learned my order, along with my friend's, and begins cooking our burritos before we even order. The food is also very well priced. Didn't love the breakfast burritos- very "eggy," but holy cow their cheese enchiladas were perfect. Their rice is fluffy. Their beans are perfect consistency. Their barbacoa was delicious in the chimichanga and they have legit tamales. Highly recommend. And their website ordering is so easy. You just order and pay when you pick up. I try to support small local businesses, especially in these hard times, but after several attempts with this place, they are off my list. Yesterday's order was tasteless and meager in proportion. The Al Pastor burrito was dried out and I don't think the filling was not made recently. Oh, and who forgets to include tortillas with a fajita order? I had paid extra for more meat and still got next to nothing. (So maybe I didn't even need the tortillas?!) There is also no provision for sauces or salsas unless you pay extra for green chili. But even beyond these annoyances I am most concerned with what appeared to be child labor. Granted, it's hard to find employees but those kids should have been in school -- not working the grill. read more

Heads up to anyone also using Grubhub. My family and I were staying at a hotel in town and I decided to drive in to pickup in order to redeem 20.00 reward off of bill. Not only did the clerk play dumb like he didn't know what I was talking about. He showed me my irder when it came in through grubhub. So i showed him my Grubhub receipt on my phone which showed taking the 20.00 off. Long story short he couldnt speak english well enough and called his boss who i assume was the owner and she said she didnt know what i was talking about. And said i had to pay full price and call grub hub myself. After debating on whether to walk out and go find other places open. I paid full bill but then was even more bummed to get back to hotel to find our order wasnt even correct. It was cold and the salsa looked like something our cat threw up. Never going back. As for Grubhub I dont know how it is structured to work exactly but if i chose a restaurant from thier app i expect the owners of said restaurant would have a clue. Im half mexican and unfortunately dont speak spanish but if i worked in any foreign country i would be learning that language pretty quick in order to get work. And stay working. Something sad and very wrong has happened here recently...this used to be my favorite place until today :(. Suddenly, they deny you free chips and salsa if you are eating in, and their once amazing enchiladas tasted old and dry and flavorless. I watched them appear from nowhere, be tossed into the container, then have sauce ladled on top..? I live 3 blocks away and by the time I got home the entire meal was ice cold and, well, really pretty gross. Are they under new management? Even the salsa basically tasted like crushed tomatoes and that's it. This, plus chips I had to pay for, and a soda for over $17? Whatttt? I won't go back.
