The service was spectacular throughout the meal! My food was great- my only complaint was that the butterfly shrimp had their entire shell still on. We went out for lunch on a rainy Saturday. The place wasn't too busy, maybe because of the rain. The restaurant was classy and clean; love the wall of candles. It really makes the place feel romantic. This was a pretty spacious restaurant too. They dropped off complimentary chips and salsa; the chips were super fresh and warm, the salsa was ok. We started off with the classic margaritas which were good. The waitress asked if we wanted large or small, we opted for large but didn't realize the price difference. A small was $11 and a large was $19; we probably should've looked at the price before purchasing it but it was a big margarita and it was good. I decided to get the super nachos as my meal because I love loaded nachos. This had fresh tortilla chips, ground beef, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. I thought it was pretty big and I got full off of it; I actually took the rest home. I had a bite of my husband's burrito and that was really good. Next time, I want to try out their combination meal, you have a choice between one, two, or three. You can pick burrito, enchilada, tostada, etc. The service was quick and attentive. Overall, a good Mexican restaurant in the area and I look forward to going back. read more

Great Mexican food is hard to come by, so when we find it I always have to talk about it. We've tried to come here a few times but they tend to be very busy, so definitely call ahead and make a reservation (especially if it's a Friday or Saturday night.) Coming in, you'll notice the beautiful bar area, that's somewhat secluded from the rest of the booths and tables. Some seats can fit 2 people while other tables can fit a large party, so it's definitely a great spot to have a date night or have a get together with some friends. Our waitress was very personable and incredibly knowledgeable with the menu, she was able to answer any questions we had. One thing that stood out to us was that our chips, salsa and drinks were never empty. They were quick to make sure everything was always refilled and it's the little details like that that really make the experience even better overall. The food was great as well, everything was fresh and flavorful and piping hot. There wasn't a single thing we didn't like. My family celebrated my Mothers 70th Birthday here yesterday. Our waiter, Salvatory helped make it such a fun, funny & special time. He went above and beyond to make our celebration wonderful. Salvatory put a flower in our margaritas, and at the end of our meal, he came with the whole crew, a Mexican hat for my Mom to wear, what appeared to be a Roman candle shooting off it's sparks, a beautifully decorated happy birthday plate and dessert. All the waiters & waitresses clapped & sang Happy Birthday which topped off our celebration in the best of ways. So I have a big gripe about a little issue with my bill tonight, I will address that later in my review. The chips and salsa here are good. The salsa is the best of the Mexican restaurants around IMO. I had the chicken chimichanga, it was very good but it came with sour cream and guacamole which was not on the menu description as an option. The chicken and beef fajitas were outstanding. Dessert was good. The churros were average and fried ice cream was unusual, more like freezer burned ice cream rolled in frosted flakes and coconut. Not my favorite. Our service was slow, the bartender was taking care of the table and besides the 12 at the bar and 4 other tables, he had to make drinks for a packed restaurant. Now to my gripe. The server gave me the machine to process payment, I hit the 20% tip tab. (Still being generous for slow service). My subtotal was $69.00 even. In my math, 20% of $69 is $13.80. My receipt shows a tip of $14.82. For that I really would rate this one star, because that doesn't seem to me like truthful business practice. Because of that, I probably would not go back. I know it's only $1 but it is the point of ethics. read more
