Busy on week nights even Wednesdays and Thursdays. Ribeye tacos were a nice new find and the crispy chicken sando hits so good in person (but also good takeout too).

This is a good place to grab a beer and a burger at the end of a long day! The service is usually fast (sometimes you have to make your presence known). The inside is a classic American-style pub.

Outstanding food! Great chef & Liz is a great server too...especially for very reasonable prices! The steak kebabs & chicken lettuce wraps were delicious. Meatballs ok. Very good strawberry salad w/ chicken. My wife & I are definitely returning, especially for the very nice dog friendly patio!

Can't say my experience was positive. Went there with a group of 8 total, called ahead the day before. At a 6pm dinner with me and a few friends and family for my 40th birthday celebration. While being off in a private corner was nice, we were sort of forgotten about. Had to take our water pitcher to the bar for a refills. Messed up one order, didn't put the order in for me. So 1 order messed up, 1 order not put in, lack of service, what food I did sample was decent. Pizza was technically pizza... maybe? And it was all written off with a carefree so sorry from management. 20% gratuity automatically added, no bill adjustments for the errors. I've worked 13 years in both chain and high end restaurants, this was a poor showing for a meal I was very excited for.

    Greek salad

Another place that want I to like because it's nearby but I am often underwhelmed. This is their "Greek salad", which consists of a whole tomato cut into quarters. I mean honestly, who eats tomatoes like this? There's nothing Greek about it either, no feta, no olives, barely any lettuce and giant tomatoes.

Restaurant is very neat and clean. On this evening we were promptly seated and our waiter was very attentive and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The bacon burger with fried egg was good. Very large portion and cooked to perfection. Would have liked the beef with a little more flavor. Egg was over cooked. The brioche bun was excellent. French fries were good size portion.

What a great find! We were leaving an event in Simsbury Friday night and looked for a place to grab a bite for our party of 6. I did a quick online search and called this place. We were accommodated immediately. Very nice outdoor patio space. We were seated in the lower level. Very clean and seemed to adhere to COVID guidance so we were comfortable. The server was very sweet; we started with THE BEST boneless bbq chicken (app) that she recommended and tasty mozzarella sticks. For entrees we had chicken parm ( very good), quesadilla (good), pulled pork Mac & cheese ( I wish I got a pic as it was more of a delish mixed casserole vs pulled pork AND mac&cheese) , fish & chips (avg) , & apple salad (very good). The only reason not 5 stars is my mom was looking for something warm and despite being on the menu, there was no soup. Very good price point and variety. Nice atmosphere -- will definitely visit this hidden gem again!!!

These were crispy, with goat cheese, crushed pecans and dates. These were excellent! The roasted beet salad was a bit odd. I couldn't find a single beet. It wasn't bad, it had a ton of kale. The winner was Ahi Tuna Bowl. This had rice, avocado, cucumber, edamame and tuna, topped with sriracha. This was flavorful, tasty and a generous portion. I would return here again.

We had a 630 reservation and we seated immediately. This restaurant is very attractively decorated, warm and cozy. One end of the room had a huge stone fireplace and we had a good view of the kitchen. We started with drinks and a terrific little bread basket of freshly baked bread that was topped with a butter infused with just a touch of cinnamon. That was really delicious. Our server took our entrée order of the Chatham Bay fish fry and short ribs of beef bourguignon. The fish and chips was very very good on the fish. Two large pieces of cod that were perfectly deep-fried in a thin but crunchy coating that was excellent. The shoestring fries were a little less impressive in the sense that they looked a bit industrial without a lot of character, but were passable. This dish would've been an 8 out of 10 if the fries had a greater degree of character. This was accompanied by a remoulade, malt vinegar. The short ribs of beef were exceptionally good and would have made Julia Child proud. Short ribs of beef slow cooked in red wine, onion, bacon, and mushrooms, accompanied by mashed potatoes, root veggies. For the two of us, $99. $120 with the tip. The service was prompt, polite, and professional. This was worth a second try.

I had the scallops with risotto which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Hats off to anyone who can cook a risotto well and they do it perfectly. I started with clam chowder that while could've been a little hotter, was thick and delicious. Other people in the party had eggplant Parmesan, which reportedly was terrific, chicken Parmesan that was cooked beautifully with lots of grilled chicken a lovely marinara that was topped with lots of cheese and spiced. The ancient grain risotto was again fantastic, and anyone who can cook a risotto well deserves kudos. The dessert I had the strawberry shortcake that wasn't too sweet and had a beautiful flavor of fresh strawberries throughout with lots of whipped cream. The Keylime pie was tart and delicious. The Brooklyn layered chocolate cake was tremendous layers of cake and frosting. It was just a perfect rendition of a chocolate cake. Last but not least was the coconut cake which rivals my favorite coconut cake in the world from Max A Mia. The Abigail's version was a bit lighter, but equally as delicious with coconut frosting that really hit the spot and is worth the trip back. The bill came to $317 and with a $60 tip for outstanding service and a wonderful Mother's Day meal

Their menu offers a variety of choices, including options that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. The women's restroom on the second floor was originally Abigail's bedroom. Heard it's haunted after 10pm by Abigail, the original tavern owner's wife who was murdered, haunts the place, but we didn't see any paranormal activities or ghosts. We would definitely come back and suggest you give this place a try if you are in Weatogue, CT and Simsbury, CT.

They had a slew of $5 side dishes like vegetable quinoa, pasta salad, tuna mac, roast carrots, etc. And how can we forget dessert? I saw some cupcakes and macaroons. There were two very pleasant young folks behind the counter who took my order and placed my entrée and a bag of six macaroons ($5) inside a complimentary tote bag. They asked me to check out the freebies on a table on the way out, so I helped myself to a pen, a pad and a book of matches. The Eggplant Lasagna was plenty big for us to split. It had a nice blanket of mozzarella on top with lots of thinly sliced breaded eggplant, creamy ricotta, and sauce. It was very good, but I think it could have used a bit more sauce. And those macaroons? OUTSTANDING!! Very moist, very soft, very coconutty. The Bee's Knees provided us with very good quality food, a generous quantity for $14, and all things considered an excellent value.
