We went back to Puesto Concord to give it another try and I'm really glad we did! We sat indoors this time and although I love a patio I would definitely recommend sitting inside if you can! It's such a fun atmosphere! Our waitress was great and the food tasted amazing! Our drinks were just ok and it did take a while to get our check at the end. Get the guacamole flight!

Overpriced food that was neither authentic nor good. We should have gotten a clue when all the other restaurants in the Veranda shopping center had people waiting outside for a table, yet Puesto was almost empty. We were hungry from shopping and decided to give this restaurant a try since the inside looked clean and modern. The watermelon Fresca tasted artificially flavored and was too sweet. The Baja fish taco was not crisp and a bit messy to eat. The tamarind on the shrimp taco did not pair well. The short rib quesabirria taco was served with a layer of solidified cheese. Topping tacos with a bunch of random ingredients doesn't make the food taste better! The chopped salad was the only dish I liked. The salad ended up costing $30 since we added the filet mignon.

We really enjoyed our time here at Puesto. The food was great. We started off with some guacamole. Their updated menu is really nice and the guacamole we had had parmesan cheese in it. It was a little odd that it was in cubes of parmesan cheese. We felt that was harder to eat compared to how it was previously shaved. Then we all had tacos and also the sampler platter of the salsa. Our favorite was probably the pistachio salsa, which was really good. For the tacos I really like the surf and turf one. I would say next time I'd probably just do the filet and carnitas, which is always one of my favorites. Someone at the table also had the fish and they loved it. Last time we had a really poor experience here. This time we went Saturday during lunch. It wasn't super busy and the food was top tier and the service was also fantastic. Really enjoyed it and we can't wait to go again.

My employer hosted our annual event dinner here & it was the best dinner we had so far! Everything from setup to actual dinner was so seamless & easy. Shout out to Ronnie S. for a quick and easy event setup. I forgot our servers name and the manager I was introduced to before seating but both ladies were so sweet, friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious my favorites were the ceviche and chicken flautas. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks so 12/10 experience! The restaurant is so huge, modern and clean. I would definitely go back on my own time or with big family gatherings. This place has the room and outdoor seating. Everything was amazing and you guys made it so easy on me so I appreciate you all!! Ty again

I've been to the Puesto in San Diego and I loved it out there so I was excited to revisit at this location! Originally came in like what in the world are these prices for some tacos but they're not your typical taco. Portion size for the proteins was very generous and the meat was tender and flavorful. I had 4 tacos and was pretty full (plus the chips and guac/salsa). Would come happily come back for the same variety of tacos. Though, I read my review from the San Diego location and I will put part of it here: don't get the shrimp taco lol not enough shrimp/they're tiny. Service was very accommodating -- we had a 1 year old who didn't want to sit in his high chair lol. Love the layout and design of this location!

Came here with a good friend to celebrate my birthday. Everything was great from the time that we walked in. Our sever was friendly and accommodating. Our food arrived hot and tasty. No complaints at all. She had tacos and I had a bowl. It was all delicious. Our server was switched near the end to Francisco. I really appreciated that he found a way to give me something for my bday once he found out that I could not consume dairy. That gesture made our whole night even nor special and memorable. He did not have to do what he did. Please tell him I said thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We enjoyed a very tasty dinner at Puesto this weekend. The place was hopping on a Friday night and the total ambience from bar to kitchen views is high energy and upscale. It's also pretty family friendly based on the clientele, however on the high side of pricing for Mexican food. The enchiladas, tacos, guacomole and cocktails were all delicious. We especially enjoyed the Potatoe taquitos appetizer too. We'll be back.

It's been a while since we tried this restaurant.Thinking that it will be a better place to eat but it wasn't.The price is ridiculously too high and i don't think this is a michelin star restaurant.Please check out the photos I've attached and decide if the price is right.We requested to sit outside since we have our furry baby,unfortunately we sat near the door that each time it closes,it startles us because it closes too loud and im sure management knows about it but never fix it coz i asked the person who works there.Taste of food went downhill as well.We saw the prices of food on their menu but didnt expect a very small portion of food.There's so much restaurants around this area and this place is a definitely a no go for me.

Came and sat at the bar on a weeknight. We were too late for happy hour which ended at 5. They had a tv at the bar with basketball on. Ordered a classic margarita and a watermelon margarita. Both were great and strong! Learned they use two oz of tequila. Ordered some tacos filet mignon, fried fish, short rib quesabirria, and a grilled fish. We accidentally got a grilled shrimp taco also. The filet mignon and short rib tacos were great, but had a lot of cheese almost overwhelming. The fish tacos were kind of bland. The batter didn't have much flavor and had so much lettuce on top. The lettuce to ratio was unbalanced. Tortillas were handmade and fresh. They did however have excellent salsas! There was a spicy smoky one that was so good and a mild one that came with chips. Overall the tacos were ok but pretty pricy for non taco Tuesday. About $10-15 each taco. Drinks and salsas were fire though!

The inside has a great ambiance, much like many establishments at the Veranda. The food was on the upscale side and not very authentic in my eyes but the taste was still good. Service left a little bit more to be desired. Went in during lunch and was seated right away so not very busy yet service still took awhile. Bartenders and servers spent a bit of time chatting so no wonder why that was. Overall an okay experience and worth the try.

Cinco de Mayo a "al fresco" Last minute decision to celebrate. Place was lively. Bar area was buzzing & staff was patient and helped us get outside seating. We started the evening with the Salsa Flight Shrimp/Mango Appetizer & Nogada Guacamole. Yum! Pomegranate-Mango- Walnuts... We then chose to wash it all down with a couple of bottles of Cadillac Margaritas. Dinner Tacos of choice for the evening: Filet Mignon, Birria, Al Pastor and Shrimp à la plancha. All around good time & surprisingly good eats!

Came to Mi Puesto while we were in town because I had been craving their ribeye tacos. We sat at the bar and were lucky to have Kelly taking care of us. I was about to order a regular margarita, but I noticed her serving a really cute and refreshing-looking drink. When I asked about it, she said it was off the menu--but she still made one for me, and OMG it was delicious! There was a small issue with my tacos, but Kelly handled it right away. She was absolutely amazing, super friendly, and made the whole experience even better. When I come back, I definitely hope she's the one making my drinks again! read more

Service was ok. Food was meh, tequila drinks were good but expensive.... What killed me was cost three of us had two bowls a guacamole and 3 tacos ...... wtf $180 with tip? How can anyone afford a $180 lunch?!!! If the food was huge or really good I might be able to justify.... For 180 I can get awesome tacos and bowls for like 20 people.... I have it a try and will never return! Go down the street to a taco truck on monument better food and 10$ for three tacos.... OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED!!! read more

Definitely worth coming on taco Tuesday (tacos half off after 3PM)! Happy hour 3-5pm during the week is also pretty awesome. We got the rib eye, the carnitas, the quesabirria, the lamb, and the fillet minion tacos. Definitely a unique experience as far as tacos go. Out of all of them, I would definitely recommend the lamb and the quesabirria tacos as they had the best flavor. The lamb was less heavy than the rest (carnitas and filet minion and quesabirria were all covered in a layer of grilled cheese). I also recommend bringing the kids as the kids menu is SOOO worth! The downsides I would say are that the flavor is definitely on the heavier side so it can be a bit overwhelming for your taste buds, also it is quite pricey ($11 for one taco) if it isn't taco Tuesday :') Antonio was a great server--welcoming and helpful. Pros: Beautiful restaurant, nice setup very clean. Excellent customer service everyone was very attentive and friendly. Good drinks and drink menu. Food presentation was nice Cons: Food definitely is americanized, lacking salt or flavor. Food is pricey, and you don't get sides with your meals, everything is a la cart. I ordered the mushroom and cheese enchiladas, definitely was not a fan. Guacamole definitely needed some more lemon flavor, presentation is nice tho. Food wise this place not it, but for some good drinks and company its cool. read more

PUESTO is a vibe! The bar area looks and feels the part of somewhere you'd want to grab after-work drinks and food. All their cocktails not only look cool, but they taste great as well. The presentation and craftsmanship extends into their tacos too. They were really good! No, no you are not eating street tacos, so please don't expect street taco prices. What you're paying for is the ambiance, the service, at the craftsmanship of their food and drink. PUESTO can be low-key enough to catch a happy hour but also fancy enough to have a date night or b-day dinner. PUESTO is an easy recommendation, so check them out! Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience on my Birthday. Review: I recently celebrated my birthday at Puesto Mexican restaurant, and I must say it was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. From the very beginning, it was clear that the staff was not attentive or focused on providing a pleasant dining experience. First and foremost, our waitress seemed disinterested and neglectful. We waited a staggering 15 minutes just to order our drinks, and throughout the entire meal, she rarely checked on us. It was incredibly frustrating to be left sitting there, feeling ignored and neglected on a special occasion. To make matters worse, once we finished our meals, our table was left cluttered with dirty platters. It was as if the staff completely forgot about us. When I finally brought this to the attention of the hostess, the waitress conveniently decided to go on a break without informing us. As a result, someone else took over our table, but the level of service did not improve. It was a series of disappointments, one after another. What shocked me the most was the lack of management involvement. Despite my attempts to address the issues, no one from the management team bothered to check up on us or make any effort to rectify the situation. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority at Puesto Mexican restaurant. I truly expected better from a restaurant that prides itself on its cuisine and ambiance. Unfortunately, the abysmal customer service overshadowed any positive aspects of the dining experience. I left feeling incredibly disappointed and frustrated. I've actually eaten here for years as I used to work here in the center. I kind of forgot about it for a bit since I work a new role. Recently I decided to give them another try because my food was always so good and they also had great customer service. I've now been back eating here and ordering to go as well and every single time the staff is AMAZING and friendly, attentive without hovering. This past week I guess they updated the menu so instead of trying my usual shrimp tamarindo tacos and my go to fave, the puesto perfect guac I orded multiple of the newer items. Crudo Verde WAS DELICIOUS, if you enjoy the flavor profile of Peruvian ceviche you will LOVE THIS! I also had the mushroom taco! Perfect blend of both soft and crispy mushroom textures. I am a meat eater and enjoyed these as much as a meat taco. Now on to the STAR of the show for me. The Crab and Shrimp crispy tacos. Whew!!! I've never had anything like this and that's saying a lot because Puesto has always had their own spin on things including creative tacos. My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Puesto in Concord for an early dinner and happy hour, and we were not disappointed! Although we were initially let down by the lack of beer on tap, the refreshing margaritas quickly made up for it. The atmosphere at Puesto was lively and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a long day at work. We started off with some crispy chips and flavorful salsa, and the chicharrones were absolutely divine! The highlight of our visit, however, was undoubtedly the tacos. Since it was Taco Tuesday, all the tacos were half off, making it an incredible deal. We tried a variety of their offerings. While we missed having beer with our meal this time, we hope that on our next visit, the taps will be up and running. Nevertheless, the margaritas more than made up for it, and we left feeling satisfied and content. I've been to Puesto twice now, hoping to give it another shot, but both times left me feeling underwhelmed. For a restaurant that claims to serve "award-winning" Mexican food, it's a bit of a letdown, especially if you've had a chance to try, true, authentic Mexican cuisine like Taqueria Los Gallos. There's a noticeable difference with quantity and pricing. The chips were overly salted, and the salsa tasted like cheap, sweet tomato sauce rather than fresh, savory salsa. The Chicken Enchilada Suizas was watery and bland, with the spice overpowering any real flavor. The Chicken Al Pastor tacos were salty and lackluster, while the Tamarindo Shrimp was unappetizing. The wife & I ate there Friday evening 1/6. The wait time was about 20 mins. Place was very nice looking but the seating was closer than any restaurant I can recall. The wait staff was ok but @ times hard to understand with the background noise & mask. The food was mediocre at best & for the price they charge, definitely not worth it. The wife had 2 different tacos & I had the short rib enchiladas. Tacos were $9 - $11 & enchiladas were $27. No sides came with the meal, chips & salsa were $3. This is the first Mexican restaurant I've been to that didn't have their own hot sauce, 2 bottled generics was the best they could do & they forgot to bring that. My biggest complaint is they offer to give you 10% off your total bill if you give them a positive YELP review, so even if you are dissatisfied some will give a good review to save a buck. My wife and I went to CDMX a few months ago and did 2 taco walking tours there and this was honestly the juiciest carnitas taco we've had, and with great flavor too! We also had the Baja fish taco and the chicken taco, both were very good, though the Carnitas was truly stand out. The dessert was the Chocoflan. We like flan but are usually not big fans of brownies so we weren't too sure how we'd feel about it, but it's a combo that actually works! The ambience is also pretty good, it's a very large place and would be ideal for larger gatherings. What really made our evening special was discovering they had Lalo tequila blanco - we absolutely love that brand and were so excited they carried it! I ordered a tequila soda lime that was crisp and refreshing, while my husband went with a Cadillac margarita that was perfect. The tacos were absolutely delicious. Disappointing Experience Despite the Ambiance The ambiance at this restaurant was lovely, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. After being seated it took 10 minutes to get a highchair. The food left a lot to be desired, especially considering the steep prices. My margarita, while decent, was small and absolutely not worth $20. The enchiladas were bland and lacked flavor, and while the shrimp mango ceviche was good, the yellowfish ceviche was overly salty and had more cucumber and sauce than actual fish. For $140, this meal fell far short of expectations. Adding insult to injury, they charge extra for chips and salsa, which seems unreasonable given the already inflated prices. While the decor might make for a cute Instagram post, the food and drinks simply aren't worth it. Sadly, I won't be coming back and can't recommend this place to others. read more
