The burning time on their candles is really good and more of a slow burn. Take an opportunity to do a candle making class or participate in their other workshops!

I'm not sure if the gentleman who checked me out was the owner or a regular employee. Regardless, he did not have a friendly disposition when checking me out. (I am a woman of color for reference) he didn't even greet me which is a simple courtesy. I had to ask him "hey, how are you today" to which he didn't respond and just told me the balance I owed. My fellow friend (white male) checked out right after me and he greeted him! He also asked him how he wanted his items wrapped. (We both had the same items) If the store itself wasn't so nice and full of good merchandise/gifts I would've given it an even lower rating. To management: please know and remind your employees that even a simple hello goes a long way Edit: This seems to be a trend going years back (looking at reviews) with this business and their discriminatory practices. I went back to hotel and realized they charged me $98 and some change for the dress. It was after 6pm when I noticed it (I should have looked before I left and I own that). The next day I went back to get it corrected. They did not honor the price on the tag. This was very misleading and I was lucky I was still in the city to get a full refund. I loved the dress and hate they decided to not honor the price they printed on the tag. BAD BUSINESS! Watch out for when you shop at Lilla & Beth to make sure you are not overpaying or being mislead!

Over the last several months I've been decorating a shipping container and Paper Work was the first place I thought of for art. My new space looks amazing with all the different pieces I got from here and I feel good knowing I'm supporting locals rather than Target. I give Paper Work 5 stars when I wish I could give them 10. The staff is amazing, the owner is incredible and I always find something for me or for a gift. If you live in Austin, you should come here more often. If you are visiting, this is the place to shop and buy gifts for everybody who couldn't come to Austin with you.
