Gate posts were installed 2' shorter in length than quote...and he wasn't gonna say anything. I brought it up when I noticed. Ended up leaving it because it "never should have been quoted at 14 feet and that guy was fired" Ask for a price adjustment due to 2' shorter. Mean office girl said I was already getting a deal, so no discount. Mysteriously, they ended up discounting $180. Had to make adjustments on install day. Left and returned and never checked out with me. I was just there waiting. Makes me wonder what else they didn't disclose. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

We recently moved and solicited bids from a number of fence companies to build an enclosure for our dogs. Puget Fence's bid was competitive but what sold us was the team and the willingness to make adjustments. The fence went up quickly and looks beautiful. I really appreciated the team walking the fence with me to look at places where we should lower it for the small dogs (to prevent them from going under). We were very pleased with the crew who came and constructed our new fencing to combat deer invasion of our garden and flowers!!! Our's was a unique job in the sense that we actually had three different kinds of gates and fencing constructed. Although we had some difficulties with unforeseen issues regarding our Ranch Gates in the back yard...Val and his team forged ahead to make sure they got is right and that the customer was happy! I hate to leave negative reviews, but these folks earned it. 1 year ago we hired Puget Fence about $5k to build a black chain link fence around our side yard for our dog. We asked that the gate close both in the 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock position to give access to the garage side door while the dog was in the yard. The fence was installed about 2 weeks later. The gate on the other hand has been fumbled with on multiple occasions without resolution. Parts were on order, the parts were there but no one knew where they went, it was summer they're super busy, a different gate needed to be fabricated, etc. On two occasions they called to "stop by" and fix it since they were in the area - the problem is we were at work and our dog is in the yard - of course this doesn't work! We asked for a few days notice so we could coordinate our schedules or take the dog to daycare and got nothing but attitude back. It has now been 1 year and our contact (Dave) has ghosted us. So buyer beware - this company promises one thing but then delivers another and has yet to resolve the issue after 1 year. read more

We got our fence done by Puget and after using our gate 3x it stopped working. We realized the post was split from top to bottom so we inspected the rest of our fence and found another post busted and boards that had significant damages that should not have been used(Dave's words) they said they would make it right. The crew came back to fix the issues but I was told by one they only cover their workmanship not quality of boards. Why did Dave even tell me they shouldn't have used certain ones if I was just gonna be made to feel bad about it? Once the job was done the crew told me they did their best and left without showing me what their best was. Well our gate still does not line up and the bottom half is still sticking out. Our 10lb dog can squeeze through. I have called multiple times to speak to a manager about this issue and have left voicemails and no one is responding. Updated review to 5 stars. Puget fence came back and added pressure treated 2x4's to the bottom of the fence cedar fence line on both sides of the property. No more gaps and the fence is as dog secure as you can get without digging in some wire deterrent in ground (which we will add). I wish we didn't have to complain in order to get it done right and we did have to pay a small amount more. read more

I was so impressed with them from beginning to end. The guy who comes out to figure out what goes where did a GREAT job. He helped me see that there were better ways to do what I wanted to accomplish. He designed something that looked good and was functional within my budget. The office people stayed late for me to take money. Who closes at 4:30? Anyway, I got there at 4:50 and they took care of me and got the project started. They told me January, but just finished my project on November 17. The guys who did the work were polite, respectful and did a great job. I am so pleased with everything about this job. read more

I got a couple of estimates...Ben was the only one that while walking the job suggested that a 5 foot hog fence would be nice, but over kill for what I required. Instead, he gave me a price quote for a smaller mesh 4 foot fence to keep my 6yr old and dog in. He was able to put me on the schedule a couple of weeks after we gave our deposit and the job was complete within 2.5 days. I can't say enough about the guys...Tadd and Valentene were professional and good sports...my son and the dog liked the guys very much! I would absolutely recommend Puget Fence LLC. read more

I had Puget Fence install our aluminum Fortress wrought iron like fence. Spent over $10,000. Ben was good to work with and the fence was installed properly. The problem with Puget Fence is after the sale service. They installed Tru Close gate closers on our gates. After 2 years, now out of warranty, they failed. I called the first time and spoke to Crystal who said she would talk to Ben about the hinges. After more than 1 week no response. Called again and left a message. After more than 1 week no response. Called again and this time got Crystal again. Her response was that she probably left a message for Ben and he did not get back to her. If you are looking for a company to install a fence and have any problems and actually want to get service after the fact, look elsewhere. read more

I have to agree with Dawn's review. I had two guys from Pacific Fence come look at my project and we chatted for some time afterwards. They appeared competent and were friendly, and said they would provide my husband and I with a quote soon. Never heard from them. My husband called twice and left messages, asking for a call back. Nothing. I left a voicemail message, telling them I knew our project was small but to let us know if they weren't interested so we wouldn't waste any more of our time waiting to hear from then. Nothing. To say they have poor customer service is an understatement; their behavior leads me to believe that perhaps the fallout from coronavirus caused them to go out of business. In any event, we're going with someone else. Don't waste your time on them. read more

I hired Puget Fence LLC in April 2018 to install a cedar fence along the property line with my neighbor. Good initial customer service from Ben, who came out to my house and we discussed the project in detail. Unfortunately when the project was scheduled to be accomplished (early June 2018), he was on a scheduled vacation, fully understandable. The crew assigned came out to my house and started working to dig the hole posts and set the posts. After a couple of hours or so, I went out to talk with them to see how things were going as they were working on the last couple of post holes. After I spoke with them, I looked into one of the holes and saw PVC pipe coming into and going out of the hole. Looking in several of the other holes they also had PVC pipe. I brought it to their attention and they acted like they hadn't noticed it before. We dug up a piece of the piping and it had dirt clogged in it. In retrospect it probably entered the piping while they were digging through the pipe. Believing that this was old PVC piping and that it was on my side of the property line, I gave them permission to continue the post installation and subsequently the fence installation. Flash forward to early June 2019. My neighbor calls me and tells me that he thinks the contractor broke his sprinkler line. When he activated one of the zones of his system he heard water spraying on our side of the fence. I worked with him and verified it was indeed coming out of the ground near one of the posts. I contacted Ben to let him know that we had an issue. His response was that inside the work order I signed it states that they are not responsible for damage to any underground systems, including sprinkling systems. Normally I would say, shame on me for signing it, although more than likely I would have signed it anyway. The reason why I believe they should bear the burden of responsibility and why I will be posting reviews on several sites is their willful disregard in notifying me of the PVC break when they hit it the first time. This means Puget Fence LLC workers are either extraordinarily incompetent, lazy or they just don't care about their customers. We would discover later in our troubleshooting that they punched through the PVC line 5 (five) times. Five times and they never came to find me to tell me or ask whether they should proceed. They just hoped that I wouldn't notice. I had a company come out today and do the repairs to the line to my neighbor's sprinkling system because it was the right thing to do. Too often that aspect of customer service is forgotten. Although I do enjoy the look of my new fence and the customer service was initially great, I would not recommend Puget Fence LLC for your fence installation or repair work. read more
