My name is ARISTOTLE MARR, I attended this school and BEWARE!!! This school is not what they make…read moreit look like in the photos or Website, PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Let's first Start with the Office Representative Masami Billity, she will look you in the eyes and lie right to your face. Her only job is to GET YOUR MONEY after that she will string you along and it will take you months to Get your CDL instead of 4-5 weeks that it typically takes, so if you're plan is to take 5 weeks off from work and get your CDL choose a different school this place will lie and ruin your plans. I let her know that I wanted to take the Manual transmission course and she said "No problem we have several Manual transmission trucks available" that was a flat out Lie, there hadn't been ANY manual transmission trucks available for at least three to four weeks before and she knew this, she just wanted my money and lock me into a contract and then start stringing me out, she explained that once I complete my first 40 hours in the classroom via (ZOOM), I would be in the truck the following week, AGAIN LIE!!! She called me on my last day of classroom activities and informed me that she JUST received a call from the yard instructor stating that the Manual truck has JUST broke down and I wouldn't be able to go to the yard the following Monday to start my in truck sessions when she knew all along that there was no Manual truck before she took my Payment. I then stated that I was on a strict timeline and I have to have this class finished by a certain date and that this was not acceptable to me, so I was then allowed to go to the yard to do PRE-INSPECTION ONLY until a manual truck becomes available!!!! WOW did I luck out! Monday morning I showed up to the yard excited and eager get started and met another Manual student that arrived when I did, he stated that had already been strung along for 3 Months telling him there were no manual trucks available, I WAS SHOCKED! The only saving grace to this Whole school is the two SEATTLE yard instructors NIKO and ANDREY these guys are awesome they treat you like family they care about your success and will do everything in their power to teach you everything you need to know to get your CDL, However management treats them like total crap!!! the Yard has Pot holes everywhere, you can't even drive in the yard without dropping into 5 or 6 of them, management has broken down trucks on both sides of the yard it honestly looks like a Semi-truck wrecking yard instead of a school. But Niko and Andrey still push forward giving you their all, this school is lucky to have them, They seen my excitement and immediately placed me into a broken Manual truck to start by backing until a working truck became available. I ultimately finished my class and passed the test on the first try all credit to Niko and Andre, they will absolutely put your learning first when Managment and Masami could care less about your progress, they just want your MONEY!!! PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE AND SIGN UP WITH THIS SCHOOL, YOU MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY AS I WAS!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED pick a different school.

He…read morecalled me stating that one of the flight instructors I wanted to train with was not available and condescendingly said that I had to go with another choice or I could go to another school. The guy then went about threatening me, saying that what I was asking me for (flying with the original instructor) isn't according to FAA regulations. It doesn't even make any sense. This guy is out of his mind in terms of rudeness and not caring about the customer experience. He obviously thinks that he has too much business and he's the king of the place so he will just shut people down without trying to help the customer. Absolute disaster of a place. They lost my business for sure. Buyer beware! Update: I spoke with the owner of this school and thought that he would be more understanding of the situation and try to fix the situation because I already paid them $400 for the discovery flight and was genuinely eager to take their classes. I was dead wrong. The owner of the school was just as rude and even said that me posting a negative review was in bad taste, basically trying to silence me from speaking the truth. Unbelievable. He didn't even try to understand the situation more and instead just jumped to conclusions stating that whatever Daniel did was because of FAA regulations, which is obviously bs. Then he suggested I take classes with his school to get over it. LOL. I can't make this up.

Having a child that is non verbal can be very hard in school settings. CHILD is supportive with his AAC device and any other resources to make our son successful at school. He spent too much time non-educative time in isolation in the Seattle Public Schools and did not learn new skills to help him regulate himself or interact with others. I spent most of every school day at his Seattle elementary school trying to help him get his school work done in his self-contained classroom. The Children's Institute has been a life-saver in terms of allowing him a safe place to learn these skills as well as move on academically. They are able to accept him the way he is and have never called me to come and get him. If he does have outbursts, they are able to staff to allow time for someone to spend time with him out of the classroom without putting him by himself in the "quiet room" Plus, he loves it there! I highly recommend this school if your child is not doing well in a traditional public school due to emotional/behavioral differences.

Booking an appointment appears to be over the phone only. I saw belatedly that they have a booking…read moreoption through Facebook but I can't attest to whether that works or not. It seems like they have regular business hours, so no weekend or evening options. Overall, their availability was really wide and I was able to get a time and day that worked for me. There was ample parking and the main entrance is hard to see from the front - it's at the right wing of the back side of the building. When I came in, I stood by an empty receptionist desk and after a couple of minutes, a student asked what I was here for and I explained that I had an appointment. He told me to take a seat and I waited for about 15 minutes until what looked like the owner came in and I took the initiative to repeat that I was here for a hair appointment. She ushered me into the salon area and a student promptly started on my hair. The student was very detailed and had a good balance of taking client considerations for the procured hairstyle in addition to their personal input of what would be the most visually-appealing based on my headframe. The haircut service itself took about 50 minutes, including a blow dry. It was a pretty basic trim but I think the simple look matched what I was envisioning. Checkout appeared to be cash-only. Luckily I had the cash on hand, because when I tried to pull out my credit card, the owner had let me know then that she only took cash. I can't find any official communications outside of their Facebook page, so it would be nice if their appointment and checkout guidelines were more apparent. In terms of the atmosphere, it feels very home-like, like a home away from home. All of the students and staff spoke Vietnamese and it seemed like the fluency ranged from beginner to conversational English, so I didn't experience any language barriers. There's lo-fi music playing in the background and there were two kids roaming around the salon area. Overall, I feel like this experience was a learning curve for me. I could see myself going here again, but maybe after they are able to provide more structure to the experience.
