Newer pizza spot right off South St with both Roma and NY style slices and pies, along with a variety of other sandwiches and other options on the menu. The chef / owner is so welcoming and happy to showcase his shop and the pizza for display. They also have a section selling various Italian goods, snacks, and treats. Ample amount of tables to sit inside, and also a few outside as well. They also have their own dedicated delivery car. Have tried the soppressata and pepperoni ricotta slices on two different trips. Both very good, though a touch dry from being reheated. Very tasty and savory, the ingredients are good quality and the pizza is made with care. Haven't tried the NY style slices yet. The various options of toppings and styles seem sure to please anyone whether you want veggies, meat, or both. Would want to try a fresh made pizza. Thanks

I didn't get a pizza, so I want to say that I believe the pizza is probably great and I will update the review when I've had it. That said, I got two sandwiches and wings for a night in and I can't say I would return for those things. Service was fast and staff was friendly, I simply didn't enjoy the taste of the food. It was under seasoned and pretty average for the price. The place was filled with children running around but that made the space feel more family friendly.

The pizza was in edible. There was little to no sauce on it. It came coated in oregano which I could smell from the minute the driver dropped it off. It overpowered the whole pizza not that it would have much flavor without it and the long hots. The fries also tasted reminiscent of chicken fingers as if the fryer oil hasn't been changed recently. The tiramisu was going to be the saving grace but it came rock hard, frozen solid... fresh out of the freezer and had to thaw before being able to try. What a complete waste of $40. Dominos would have been significantly better. It's a shame because their Instagram shows all these photos of a chef preparing all this great looking food however that didn't translate into the end product.

The food here was really good with people always there to help. The fact its a kind of store and a pizza place really was cool!

Service was terrific. The chicken cutlet vodka sauce sandwich was very bland and not worth calories. I should've ordered the standards.

Fast forward 12 years, and now its Antonio's Deli...let me tell you something......still AMAZING! My Brother and I came here for a breakfast hoagie. We got an Olde Italian to split since we were going to Reading Terminal Market right after. How was the hoagie? Delicious! The Olde Italian comes on the best bread in the land IMO (Sarcones...seeded roll...you just cant beat it!). So crusty and great texture. This sandwich had all the goodies on it including proscuitto, capicola and sopressata. They use a crumbled sharp provolone cheese here (think blue cheese crumbles, but sharp provolone!) that is so freaking good! The veggies include roasted red peppers, lettuce tomato and onion. They top it with some olive oil and seasonings. Hoagie perfection! This was my favorite sandwich that I ate in Philadelphia and my favorite sandwich on my 1 week trip back East! I LOVED IT. If you are in Philadelphia and want the best hoagie around, come here! I can't wait to go back to Philadelphia one of these years and try out some more of their sandwiches. Just perfect! Thanks, Antonio's!

They serve you fresh waster (Drinks to order include Hanks, Boylan's, Harney and Sons, Teas etc.) and will serve you at the table or you can walk up and order at the counter. Their menu has a great mix of deli, steak, "chicken" steak, meatball, sausage and cutlet sandwiches with interesting flavor combos. You can also get breakfast (till 11AM) or a salad. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!
