I've tried the chicken parm, taco, buffalo chicken, white, bbq chicken, margarita and plain pizza. Also the nutella donut and shrimp ceasar salad. My favorites are the margarita, buffalo chicken pizza and the shrimp salad. As a saucy person I prefer the margarita over the plain cheese, it just hits harder. The buffalo chicken pizza is just amazing. Nutella donut taste good but better slightly warmed up! The shrimp caesar is seasoned well and the fresh parm helped me use little to no dressing. It also comes with a soft ,fresh,warm roll, so good. This is a must try! The food quality is questionable indeed. First time the savory pizza and fries were decent and did the trick for a late night visit (they stay pretty late which is nice!). However the second time was a doozy with the cheesesteak stromboli. Halfway in I took a bite with marina sauce and tasted something like tooth decay, I threw up. I ordered the chicken parm panini, eggplant starter, and a side chicken cutlet for delivery and it was all delicious! The portions were large and there were plenty of leftovers. My only complaint would be that the food was cold. I was also surprised to see that the chicken parm panini was dry and no where near the saucy expectation the menu had set. Soooooo delicious!! We ordered this on a whim because they had a buy one, get one free deal on UberEats and it was the best decision we ever made. I think some of those reviews about great service, and the businesses description about cocktails is for LaScala Fire on Chestnut Street. This site is the pizza place called LaScala Pronto on South St. It has about 7 tables but is really like a take out place. The pizza tasted ok, good amount of cheese and sauce. However, the sauce was a bit sweet. Too much sugar. Not enough spice. Also, it was way undercooked. Soggy. I looked at a picture on this site that someone uploaded and it seems their pizza was soggy too. I really don't get it. If you are the one cooking it, just look at it, check the bottom, keep it in another 5 minutes. It really made it way too hard to eat. If I try it again, I will most certainly tell them I want it crispy. So, considering the over sweet sauce and the soggy way they gave it to me, I can't give more than 3 stars. This is a shady business. Their menus online list different prices than the menus they display in person; and then even the menus available for customers to take show ever different prices. The (less than presentable looking) staff member at the counter tried to just casually convince me that the price wasn't what I thought it was; as if I misinterpreted the writing in the menu. They couldn't actually hand me a corrected register receipt; and then couldn't even offer me an accurate credit card receipt! Worst of all; the arancini were greaseballs incompetently disguised as shoemaker risotto. The cheesesteak Stromboli was cheap on the steak, mozzarella, peppers and onions; rather heavy on the raw dough and literally revolting processed American cheese. I requested extra marinara regrettably, because what I was given couldn't have been farther from marinara if I were at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean! I've never tasted tomato sauce from any can, jar or even freezer that was just so awful! I can't even imagine what evils could've been done to make such a vile sauce. Everything about this place is repulsive to me! I'm disgusted they had the nerve to name their business after the opera house in Milano! The Milanese wouldn't be caught dead feeding this food to their stray cats! Dear management, my credit card payment is still pending but I promise you if it goes so much as a penny over the lowest displayed menu price plus tax; my bank will not hesitate to reverse that charge. I'm dissatisfied beyond all expectation with your service, and food. The ambience was meh- but who cares? It's a take out joint! Finally, the top of this yelp page says they offer specialty cocktails...huh??? They don't have a liquor license or a bar. I'm a bit of a self-proclaimed pizza snob. Basically, I'm super particular about my pizza. I LOVE their pizza. One slice is almost a full meal, which I can appreciate as I have a large appetite. The crust, to cheese, to sauce, to topping ratio is perfect. The sauce has the tiniest bit of sweetness which I love. Can't comment on delivery timing/accuracy because I always pick up my order. The service here is stellar because the staff are so friendly and personable. They are just lovely. My boyfriend and I ate here last night for the first time and had a great experience. His pizza was delicious! My eggplant and broccoli rabe dishes were quite tasty too (I finished them today). While no one's eggplant equals my mom's, I still enjoyed it. The broccoli rabe was sauteed just enough, so it wasn't limp or soggy. The portions are MUCH larger than expected, so I was happy to have leftovers. Surprised this place has so few reviews. I used to be a frequent customer back when it was located on 15th and Spring Garden. I was sad to see them change locations to South Street, but recently found out they still deliver via Grubhub. I typically order a the Rigatoni vodka and a Caesar salad, but I love all their food from the bbq chicken pizza, chicken tenders, meatballs, and cheesesteak eggrolls. This place shouldn't be in business anymore. My wife just ordered a large Sicilian pizza. To say it was one of if not the worst pizza I have ever eaten would be an understatement! The pizza was basically all dough! Like all dough!! With the most underwhelming cheese and extremely lackluster sauce. Literally my kids could've made this pizza at 5 years old and it would've been better. How are they still in business?? Who knows! But they should have went down with the pandemic closings. I can't believe this South Street location does not have more pictures and reviews, they are always so busy! Mostly delivery business from what I can tell. We have gotten take out from here several times since we live close. The Broccoli Rabe & Sausage with polenta is excellent! Caprese salad was ok, Italian wedding soup very good, did seem homemade. Recently opened, this is a 2nd location for this pizzeria and sandwich joint. I ordered a cheesesteak with provolone. The roll was mushy - not the standard for cheesesteak bread. The provolone was put on the bread, and melted jut barely enough. The steak was dry and flavorless and just plopped on top of the cheese. The cheese and steak are supposed to be mixed in such a way that each steak bit has cheese covering it. If you're going to do cheesesteak in Philadelphia, you really need to know what you're doing. This is a Philadelphia classic and cannot be disrespected this way without repercussions. I will try their pizza, but I do not hold out much hope for it... read more

If you like very generous toppings on your pizza you'll love Pronto. Ordered the Italian sausage pizza. It was loaded with sausage, green peppers and cheese.
