These guys were one of the few that could handle the concrete work, and they also handle all the permit work as well. Staff worked hard, finished everything quickly and made sure the work site was clean as a whistle after they finished. Everyone was really friendly, from the receptionist on the phone, the staff and the people giving me estimates. It's been more than a year since I got my EV charger installed, and I haven't noticed any problems since then. Price-wise, I feel it was pretty fair especially considering how they made everything so convenient. All in all, they did everything well. I'd have no problems recommending them to others, and will likely go back to them when I need other things addressed in the house.

And it turned out one of the poles hit a power line underneath, running from the house to the garage. Power was shorted on one of our switches and would pop through the conduit. Not knowing what to do, Joey came out to our house within half an hour and instantly diagnosed the problem, found the outlet, and safely cut off power to the garage. He told us it does need to get fixed, which it will during construction, but didn't charge us a DIME to do this. Joey easily could have charged us anything he wanted, but being a local guy, he literally tells us, 'I do local jobs in the city to help the community.' 1/5 I hired Nick to…read moreinstall landscape lighting and outdoor speakers at my home. I supplied all of the equipment and parts, so I was hiring him primarily for labor and installation. I initially described the job through Yelp and received a flat-fee estimate of $350, along with an invitation to schedule a consultation. I scheduled the consultation assuming Nick would inspect the job and provide a more accurate estimate. When he arrived, however, he appeared ready to start working even though we had not signed a contract or finalized the scope and price. After I walked him through everything I needed done, he told me he had thought it was a much smaller job and that it would cost more. We agreed to hold off until he sent me a revised estimate. He later sent an estimate for $950, which I accepted. When Nick returned to actually begin the work, I went over the scope with him again--the same work I had explained during his first visit. He then told me he "didn't know what he was thinking" when he quoted $950 because it was much more work than he anticipated. He increased the price again to $1,300. I reluctantly agreed because I needed the job completed. The first day, he mounted just the transformer and said he needed to return with a helper. On the second day, they mounted the weatherproof box for the speaker amplifier and routed some of the wiring. He then said he couldn't continue until a section of fence was removed because it was blocking access, even though the fence was already there when he originally inspected the job. He requested 50% payment, which I paid. I told him I would contact him once the fence was removed. A few days later, Nick contacted me saying he really wanted to finish the job and that I actually didn't need to remove the fence after all. He returned and routed the cables and installed most of the equipment. However, the job was still not finished. The subwoofer was left unburied, wiring was untidy, the trenches were not backfilled, and he drilled a hole through the middle of my planter to route wiring, which was not something we had discussed or agreed upon. He told me he would return after the fence was removed to finish the remaining work. At that point, Nick asked me to pay 90% of the $1,300 total. I paid him in good faith based on his representation that he would return and complete the job. We scheduled a final day for him to come back. He did not show up and did not respond to my calls or texts that day. The following day, he texted me saying he had suffered heat stroke and told me he was not going to finish my job. I completely understand that a medical issue can happen and that someone's health comes first. My problem is what happened afterward. Since Nick told me himself that he would not complete the job, I asked for a partial refund because I had already paid 90% and, in my opinion, substantially more than 10% of the work remained. My request was essentially blown off, and I was left to find someone else to finish the work I had already paid him to complete. The entire experience was frustrating. The price went from $350 to $950 after he inspected the job in person, then from $950 to $1,300 when he returned to start the same job. I accepted the increases and paid 90% in good faith, only to be left with unfinished work, open trenches, an unburied subwoofer, an unwanted hole drilled through my planter, and the additional expense and hassle of finding someone else to complete the project. I do not recommend Nick as he seems untrustworthy and dishonest. If you do choose to work with him, I strongly recommend getting the complete scope of work, final price, payment schedule, and exactly what constitutes a completed job in writing before allowing any work to begin or making substantial payments. I would withhold a significant amount of the final price until the job is completed.

Our home inspector had recommended Electric Brothers to us. They were very easy to communicate with. This was my first time working with a contractor at this scope. Thankfully the team was professional and accommodating to our questions throughout the whole process. I had a huge list of work I wanted done on the house and the crew were understanding and offered financially flexible options for the work. Early on we had an unrelated permitting issue on the house and Electric Brothers was patient and helped us come up with solutions on how to continue the work on the electrical permit without affecting the other permit. From the get go Kamea and Isaac came out to do a walkthrough of our home to decide what the scope of work would be. At this point we weren't certain of how we were planning on remodeling the house but Kamea and Isaac offered flexible solutions. They were able to get the permit and started on the work quite quickly. Jose, Jonathan and the rest of the crew got to work removing the panel and old outlets and switches. I had requested some change orders later on and Eric and David were able to accommodate quickly. After all the work was complete, Antonio and Marcos patched all the holes inside and out. The patch work even impressed our inspector and the electric company that stopped by to adjust our power lines. The whole team was great and was willing to offer a ton of great house advice in general. Scope of Work The scope of the work included a panel upgrade, moving the panel and adding grounding to the house. We had also extended our powerline above the roof of the house to give our backyard some more vertical space. For the full house rewire, we had replaced all the existing wire with new wiring and relocated many of the outlets and switches. Kamea and Isaac worked closely with us to position the outlets and switches exactly where we wanted them. This included outlets inside and outside. Throughout the process we did have many specific requests but the team was able to pivot quickly without hesitation. Of course this did cause some slight miscommunication in the office but nothing detrimental to the project. In addition to the rewire work we also wanted to set up the electrical for our future remodeling plans. Jose made sure the circuits in the kitchen would be appropriate for the new appliances we had ordered. We updated some of our exterior lights as well and added additional lighting in one of our bathrooms. Both bathrooms were updated with new Panasonic vent fans. I also requested the wiring to be set up for an electric car charger for the future. Summary All in all a great experience! We'd definitely work together again in the future. My best suggestion to other new homeowners for a project of this scale is to align on the specific project goals before the starting walkthrough.
