shhhh don't tell anyone. This lot is my best kept secret. It is not always open, but i always swing by here before heading to the toy story lot. it is seriously across the street from DL, there are NEVER lines for the shuttle (not that you need to take the shuttle). Worst case scenario, you have to wait 3 or 4 minutes for more people to get on the bus. Many times my kids and i are the only souls on our private charter bus! this lot is awful! don't park here!!! oh...no bathrooms here ...so if you gotta pee...stop at one of the hotels before parking.. read more

When Disneyland Resort or the Orange County/City of Anaheim has an event, you know there will be a lot of craziness in the area. Most people will be going to Mickey & Friends for guaranteed parking, but, of course, the freeway will be backlogged with cars. Normally, I would park at Toy Story, but events such as CHOC (Children's Hospital of Orange County) Walk going on, the overflow lots open. Let's park at worry free (Hakuna Matata) at Pumbaa Parking Lot. This lot is not always open. This is considered the overflow lot of Disneyland Resort. You can find the Pumbaa Lot across the Anaheim Garden Walk on Disney/Hotel Way between Harbor and Clementine. If there is an event going on, please note that this parking lot can fill up very fast. There is only one booth with two attendants. With that description alone, you will know that parking can go fast and be moved to other areas such as the Anaheim Convention Center. Parking prices are the same with the other lots. There is no special price for parking here. Please check the Disneyland website on the prices. Like Toy Story Parking Lot, there will be shuttle buses to take you to/from Disneyland. However, since Pumbaa Lot is not a lot normally used everyday, there are no designs on the bus signifying that the bus is going to Pumbaa Lot. The buses do not look like Toy Story Buses, they are just simple white buses. When you do go back to the parking lot, please make sure you do not go to Toy Story since the Pumbaa Parking Lot loading area is in the other side with the Anaheim GardenWalk loading area. It was a nice, but weird change to parking here. I believe I have parked at most Disney sites. With the 60th Disney Anniversary coming, I know my options and forecast of what Disney may do for the future of parking locations on the increasing attendance to Disneyland. Located off Disney Way across from the Anaheim Garden Walk it's convenient as today it was free for the Taste of Anaheim event I believe on normal days if you are a signature plus pass holder you can park here for the Garden Walk versus going in the structure next to the Garden Walk. The lot is not huge nor is it tiny. Overall it's ok. read more

This is my favorite parking lot at Disney! Why is that? 1. You're fairly close to the entrance of the park. 2. 1 to 2 traffic lights and you're at the entrance. 3. No need to take a tram. 4. Not very huge, so you can't lose your car. 5. It's safe. This parking lot also substitute as a cast parking lot, so it might not always be open. I've had the best luck here in the early mornings. read more

Best parking lot at Disneyland. Why? It's fast to get in and fast to get out. WAY faster than the behemoth Mickey & Friends structure and the distant Toy Story lots. They open at 9am which is weird, considering the parks usually open sooner. No kidding, we've waited in the mornings just long enough so that when we arrive, Pumbaa is just opening. Jessica H. and I have repeatedly experienced unnecessary difficulty figuring out how to get to the parking areas at Disneyland, which, in the past, have resulted in our circling the whole park. This last trip, we somehow stumbled upon the Pumbaa lot, and although it was new, scary, and different, we parked there. 10am on a gray Sunday morning = one car ahead of us in line, and the lot still had tons and tons of spaces. Instead of taking a tram into the park, they load you onto cushy tour buses. Your spot to pick up the bus to get back to the lot is a bit different than the tram for the other lots, btw. Was there anything technically WRONG with the Pumbaa lot? Other than there's no covered parking, so your car in the middle of a July day might be unpleasant, not at all (and leaving when the park closed, we had our very own private bus taking us back)...other than on a personal level, it changed a chunk of the experience of Disneyland: having visited the park lots of times ever since I was scared of Adventures Through Inner Space, a part of the experience that had never, ever changed was taking the tram. The tram is its own ride, it bursts with anticipation of getting to the park and having an amazing day. It's a nice transition back to your car when you're finally forced to leave the Happiest Place on Earth, a calm little trip that still feels like a ride as you make your way back to the banality of your car, your life, and reasonably-priced food and drinks. A bus doesn't do the same for me (also, they're chartered, so the drivers don't get Disneyland perks like other employees). Mickey and Friends Parking Structure all the way. read more

Best parking lot ever. Very close if you want to walk. Consistent shuttles with plenty of room.

Convenient parking lot. Quicker than the Toy Story lot or the Mickey & Friends parking structure. It's main selling point is it's small & easy to navigate. Of course, the drawback is it fills up quickly and they close it down by noon or 1pm. Great for morning arrivals! Our return bus was pretty much empty. Buses are better than the tram any day. read more

"Employee Parking only", delayed our visit to Disneyland and annoyed my entire family.

This is one of the best places to park. I got redirected here from the 5 and thought I would hate it, but ended up loving this little lot. Costs the same as Mickey & Friends, BUT it is literally a hop and a skip away from the parking lot. It takes no more than 5 minutes to walk there. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! There's also a shuttle that takes you right to the main entrance! It is seriously too good to not park here all the time. But that's the sad part, it is not open every day and is usually on busy days, and it fills up rather quickly. But if you ever see this lot open, take it as a sign to park here. read more

So me and my family decided to park at the pumba parking lot this last sunday 3/9/14 and parked almost near the front..to our shock when we returned someone had jumped on our hood up the roof and down the trunk of our brand new honda civic..foot prints and fingers prints all over the car. left 2-pretty big dents on the hood not a good feeling at all specially knowing that their employees were on the premises when it happened? not saying this going to happen to everyone but just thought i would let everyone know about my experience..Do Not recommend! read more

Parking here is fine. What's not fine is when you get re-routed here and it takes 45 minutes just to park. WHY DISNEY?! I was so annoyed and it just wasn't a good way to start the day. If you want to park here, more power to you. But you shouldn't be forced to park here unless the Mickey structure is actually full, which it wasn't. read more

This has got to be the best place I've parked since i have had to pay for parking. For $20 same price as other Disney lots, I'd much rather park in this lot. It was not crowded. They had shuttle buses waiting if you didn't want to walk the two blocks or so to the park and we even got our own shuttle bus to ourself. And this was on june 7, a very busy day! When it was time to leave, the bus was waiting where we were dropped off and there was no wait to get on the shuttle we were taken straight to the parking lot and in our car very quickly. In the past I've had to wait in line for the tram that goes to Mickey and friends lot for a very long time. Found our new spot! read more

with twins in a stroller, this is my favorite parking lot by far. its literally right across the street from the entrance to disney. No need for a tram ride or a bus ride or even getting on/waiting for an elevator. its a bit more difficult to get to but worth it. Shane in you Disney. While I understand the need for auxiliary parking, the absolute chaos that this lot is in is completely disgusting and besmirches the disney image you try so hard to uphold. Your attendants were rude when they could be found, traffic was not being directed at, and there were no indications of traffic flow. I was nearly in two accidents and almost ran over three times trying to get into down town disney because no care was shown in the use of this supplementary parking area for guests. read more

I will park at Pumbaa and book Allegiant Air for 2016. Pumbaa Parking Lot is faster than the Toy Story parking lot and Allegiant Air is cheaper than most other airlines. read more

When we went to park here around 8am Thursday (before Memorial Weekend), we were told that the lot was for employees only. Not sure if some days it's just for employees and other times it's for theme park guests, but I was pretty disappointed since we wanted to avoid taking the shuttle with our kids/stroller/bags/etc and just wanted to walk from the Pumbaa lot to Disneyland. We ended up parking at the Toy Story lot which was right across the street from our hotel (Marriott). Parking at the Toy Story lot wasn't bad at all (4 stars for the TS lot), but wasn't exactly planning on it. We would have just left our car at the hotel and taken the hotel shuttle instead but we were already in the TS lot by the time we realized our hotel was across the street. read more

I was forced to park in this lot on a Saturday morning even though I didn't want to be there. It's not a bad lot but I wanted to be in the parking structure. I had to take a bus across the street to get to Disneyland which was fine, but I would have rather walked in through Downtown Disney. Pumbaa lot is very small, is not shaded, and the parking spaces are narrow. Someone dented my car in the lot. read more
