Loved the friendly vibes here! We were staying nearby passing through Oregon and The Spot was one of the places in town open a little bit later, so we decided to come here and I'm so glad we did. It's a beautiful set up with an outdoor patio set up with lights and fire pits as well as plenty of indoor seating for the cold and rainy weather days. It's a good place for dinner or just to chill over drinks. My friend and I came by Saturday night around 8:30 pm and it wasn't too crowded. We weren't super hungry, so we just got some chips and salsa to share as well as a drink each. The food menu is just one page and looked pretty basic imo, but the drink/cocktail menu is really where The Spot shines. They have a huge selection of specialty margaritas and martinis along with other specialty cocktails. Of course, since it's Oregon, there's a large variety of wines and beers (draft and canned) as well. My friend got one of the beers on tap, and I asked the bartender (also the owner as I found out later) to make me a mocktail. He was able to whip something up with non-alcoholic gin that was tasty. My one issue with my experience here - based on the final amount I paid (it's so much easier to calculate when you don't have to worry about taxes), I think my mocktail was $15 which seemed pricy to me, given that many of the cocktails on the menu are the same price or even cheaper. read more

Just had great hamburgers here. The garlic aioli is really good! Great large area in the back to park our trailer plus outdoor seating so we could take our dog. The owner (I assume) was very friendly...with jokes (so watch out!). We would definitely stop there again next time we are traveling thru Madras. read more

We have been waiting 35 minutes for two burgers. The waitress says it'll be 10 to 15 minutes before anything comes out of the kitchen. Seems crazy to have a downtown restaurant that takes an hour to get a hamburger. At this point I would not recommend. Update: left after 1.25 hours without getting no food. The restaurant was totally empty except for a single guy nursing a drink. I think the cook must have gone home. read more

They have a short menu but it's good. I definitely think some of the dishes were very good. Madras has a new spot, called The Spot. You order at the bar and get a number. The lady working there was super nice. We ordered the pulled pork, chicken nuggets, smoke salmon sandwich and tacos. All of them were good! They have a full bar and good amount of beers on tap. I ordered a salad add chicken with blue cheese dressing. I could immediately tell that the bc dressing was cheap, out of the bottle dressing; reminded me of Kraft. Being someone who doesn't like sweet blue cheese dressing, I asked for ranch instead. It was hidden valley, which just made me feel like I could make a way better salad at home. The chicken was like jerky dry. Almost like it was twice cooked or something. My father got the carnitas tacos, which were kinda bland without a bunch of salsa. I wanted to write this because these guys have a 4.5 star overall review so we expected great food! Definitely not the case.. two star at best. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the bar was very clean. Nice bartender. I would stick to the affiliated food trucks out back to be safe if I were you. If the owner reads this, as someone who has been in the industry my whole life, I would make your own ingredients, or buy way better quality. Other than that it's a great place to grab a beer! Andre is a wonderful host, he excels in warm communicaion with his customers and makes you feel at home. Ive heard his guest artists have been good, making people come to dance and hang out on a Saturday night when someone comes to play music. Ive had the food from he bar and the outside food truck, and his chef seemed a little naive when they first opened, ive heard there have been gradual improvements in that department. He always offers a nice variety of alcoholic choices with creative cocktails, its his extraordinary "mocktails" that have been gaining in popularity. People aren't always looking for a hard cocktail, the other offerings have been picked up and served to those alcohol free, discriminating crowd. But you'd have to come out for a taste of offerings yourself, and give some feedback of your own true favorites! read more

This little restaurant/bar provided an amazing experience . Drinks are excellent and food was delicious. They are pet friendly with outside seating. We arrived on a Friday afternoon.
