okay guys.. so it's not a restaurant but a little store front almost like how most Chinese take out is only indian food cute lil mom and pop vibe tho! nd when i tell you Its the best indian food i have ever tried,, the owner is so friendly and welcoming and will answer all and any of your questions what i think really makes this place thi is its just him and his wife making the food no chef so in his words "it's all home made home cooked" i had the butter chicken and garlic naan the chicken pieces were nice sizes and very tender the sauce was to die for way better then most places i've been it was very flavorful and thick not runny like some places. the garlic naan was very flavorful, hit and crispy still by the time i got it home. this place is not talked about enough i didn't even know it existed!! On a road trip from Chicago to Cincinnati and found this gem of a place on the way down. The food was made fresh and directly on the spot. The aunty there was very nice and provided us info on the dishes. We enjoyed our delicious homemade butter chicken with chapatis. We were super excited after trying the food and asked for parathas to take home. Small restaurant and no in house dining but 3 benches outside to eat. Overall wonderful experience! read more

We tried this for the first time on Dec 27 and have already been back again not even two weeks later! I really wanted some takeout Indian food for my birthday and our favorite place to dine in was further than we wanted to drive so I started searching for restaurants closer to our home. There were a few but Punjabi Dhaba was super close and had some great reviews so we gave it a try. It's takeout only and a small hole-in-the-wall type place. They don't appear to have a website or online ordering but we found some photos of their handwritten menu and my husband drove down to place an order. He got some recommendations from the owner and some patrons while he was there and we ended up with two types of parathas, chicken Tikka masala, and paneer masala. He did have a decent wait, but oh was it worth it! Everything was amazing and since it was so close, it was still hot when he got back home. Last night we had no groceries and decided to order again. This time we called ahead and got parathas and Tikka masala again, plus we tried saag paneer, which my husband sampled during his wait last time. Our food was ready in the expected amount of time, checkout was quick, and the employee I met was friendly. Our meal turned out great again (and I remembered to take a photo this time) and we had enough for some leftovers. We found this place on our way to Chicago from Kentucky. It's very close to the highway so the detour wasn't much. We got gobi and paneer paratha, paneer pakoda and chicken kababs. The paneer paratha and paneer pakoda were mind-blowing! Reminded me of dhaba food on the Delhi-Punjab highway! My husband really liked the gobi paratha, it was evidently made from scratch and was made fresh. We loved the green chutney that came with the pakoras and it was nice to have fresh dahi with the parathas. The complimentary chai we were given while waiting for our food also tasted pretty good! This is a carry out restaurant run by an Indian originated couple. The gentleman was very social and chatted with us while the lady was whipping out our amazing hot food. Hopped in en route to Chicago from Bowling Green. The paneer pakora was very good and fresh. Samosa was also good. Parathas (gobi and paneer) were good and it comes with yogurt. Chapati was soft and fresh, needed some more salt. Mango lassi was not that good. Masala chai was not good but seems they give it free to every customer. This place might not have the ambiance but it definitely has the TASTE. Oh so delicious and authentic taste. Had such good stuffed parantha after a very long time. Worth what we paid for. Prices are very reasonable for everything and quantity and quality are on point. Ran by husband and wife only so be patient with them (they don't take long btw unless packed busy of course). I pretty regularly order take out from here, and it is consistently delicious. Make sure to call it in before you go, because they make everything to order; it's usually ready really quickly though. I've tried quite a few of the vegetarian meals from here, and I'll say I don't think you can go wrong. But, every time I go, I'll always order Malai Kofta, because it is my favorite. Also in this picture are the Aloo Mutter and a Paneer Paratha (very much recommend both!). Both in the picture are the 16oz, which is the smaller size. Lastly, love the Chai. Good evening. I had the most delicious food ever since being in Delhi. It is authentic, delicious, extremely flavorful! The owner and his wife worked together and everything was made to order. We had a delicious samosa chat (perfectly cooked chickpeas, delicious samosas, all the spices, chutney etc.), we had complimentary chai while we ate on the outside bench area. We also ordered potato-spinach (aalo-palak), black lintels (Dal Makhni), butter chicken and Indian flat bread (rotis) - it all had a taste of home! Absolutely delicious and authentic food. We looked this place up. Saw high reviews and made our choice. It had mentioned you could dine in, but I think for just when it's nice outside. There are a couple seats inside to sit and wait for your order because the food is whipped up all fresh. The owner is very personable. He offered us a cup of Chai Tea while we waited and I must say it was the best I have ever tried. It smelled so good inside. The food is so good and the spices are well balanced and not overwheling. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and hubby ordered the Curry Chicken slightly hot and it was not too hot for me to eat (I'm a heat light weight). We actually mixed the two together and it was heavenly. You could tell it was fresh rice and homemade Naan as well. So good. Authentic stuffed paratha I ever had in USA. Very few people in USA (definitely all the North Indians) will be able to relate to the taste.

We were craving Indian food recently and this was the nearest place and we had heard good things from the Irvington Facebook group. It was a little hard to read the menu online so I popped in to place an order. We were having dinner guests who were a little risk adverse with new food so I asked the owner for some recommendations. He hooked us up with 3 dishes and some sides that were amazing. This place was as good as anything we've had on West 38th Street. We'll definitely be back soon.
