We came a little bit earlier for the dinner rush it seemed, even though it was 7pm, so it was completely empty. But still, the food took quite awhile to come out. We ordered the kasoori soya chaap, which is a vegan dish made with soy. I wouldn't recommend, as the texture of very rubbery and it did not seem to take on flavor well. The potato appetizer was quite good, though I think it would go nicely on top of some rice as well. For bread we tried out the laacha paratha, which I would pass on next time because it was almost like rolled up roti, and more oily. read more

We went there after Covid for the first time this place used to be our go to spot for takeout, but what I saw that the old owners are no longer there and the place has been upgraded. The place looked well kept and clean. It was busy but the service was fast. We had lots of things but the best was dhaba style chicken and laal Maas (I know they might not be able to use the authentic chills and still Called it laal Maas) still A+ for good taste now the bad why why and why you add tons of heavy cream in panner (panner lababdar). One word - Disappointed! Came in for a weekday dinner after being recommended by a lot of friends and was not Impressed the the food much ! Ordered a Lassoni Jhinga- The prawns were totally overcooked and were very hard and rubbery ! Sauce was more sour than being lasooni/garlicky For mains the chicken tikka masala was recommended by the server and some naan bread and laccha paratha. The Tikka Masala was good but had a raw tomato flavor in the gravy which indicates it wasn't cooked fully . The chicken also could have been actually grilled in the tandoor and not the regular boiled chicken pieces to give it an authentic feel. The laccha paratha was by far the only good thing I ate here which gets full marks. Maybe will give it another try with a larger group to try more options but not authentic enough based on what I had . Service was slow even though not much rush read more

The food and service were normal - a usual place that sells usual indian food. Clean interiors, and an open floor concept make for a pleasant, no-fuss environment. On our visit, however, the overall experience was marred by the presence of an unusually loud group nearby. While everyone's entitled to enjoy themselves, the volume and particularly piercing nature of one person's laughter became genuinely disruptive. It wasn't the restaurant's fault per se, but the acoustics and layout didn't do much to contain the sound, which unfortunately took away from the otherwise relaxed vibe. Drum Rolls- I've found my top 3 Indian Restaurant in Central Jersey! Yes, this is a hidden gem in somerset and they serve the most authentic, delicious and mouth watering dishes. If you have eaten here once, I can guarantee that you will come back here asking for more. They have plenty of parking outside and you can easily find a spot! One of the finest Indian restaurants in Central Jersey, they serve authentic north Indian food with panache! We tried several dishes and the winner were - Bihari kababs, sarson da saag, paneer tikka and chole bhature. The taste of the food is closest to what I've had in Delhi or Punjab. The owner Gurvinder serves everyone with a smile and is very friendly. Some of dishes are served so beautifully like sarson da saag on a manji and bihari kababs in a mini oven that it leaves you with a memory of a lifetime! Other items that are on our next visit list are - tandoori chicken, daal makhani and dhaba style chicken curry! During the summer they have a patio that is setup with punjab village theme, I can't wait for summer and experience the setup! Absolutely incredible- me and my boyfriend went here a few times (pics are from different occasions). Last night though we ordered kebab to start, chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani for mains, and got dessert on the house! The wait staff was incredibly attentive and the food was ... I have no words. So delicious. It was clean, water was in the table when we walked in, a bit on the pricier side but entirely worth it! Amazing Indian Food with a fresh perspective. We definitely ordered way too much but couldn't help but finishing everything. Outside looks unassuming but inside is beautiful modern decor. My SIL stumbled across this place browsing through Yelp and we decided to give it a try for a early lunch. They had just opened at 11:30 and it was pretty chilly inside we had to ask for the heat to be cut on. We were greeted by a gentleman which I believe was one of the owners He was very nice and allowed to pick our seats . We browsed through the menu using a QR code. They have a pretty good selection of dishes both vegan and meat dishes. We started off with samosas which were delicious especially with those yummy sauces . We ordered 2 chicken and 1 goat dish they were good but was expecting a bit more spice in two of the dishes and the portion sizes although shareable if you just want to try each one but definitely on the small side for the prices. $18-$20 or so for the average dish . Some of the best traditional North Indian takeout in the area. Just authentic, fresh, and enriched with a generous amount of taste. I hadn't had it for many years, but the food is just consistent. We ordered Malai Kofta & Paneer Tikka Masala. It was so good I forgot to take photos. The Paneer Tikka Masala was more red than orange. That's when you know it's made pretty damn well. We have generally had a really good experience eating food there but like any restaurant, if the chef or cook changes consistency breaks and our most recent experience was not so great. Food was very salty including curries and daal. The typical curry we order was also made very differently and we did not like it. Owners and people working there are really nice and considerate. The food was fabulous! We started with Veggie Samosas, which were on the heavy side. I had the Biharu Murg Kabab, which was served on a sizzling bed of yummy caramelized onion and green veg. The chicken was lightly crispy outside and the meat was succulent, after having been marinated in yogurt and spices. Surprisingly good! The rice was pillowy light. Chicken Saag was delicious. The Onion Kulcha was outstanding! The Raita lent a nice cooling touch with light spices and finely chopped veg. The service was attentive, kind, helpful and gracious. What an incredible surprise. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to explain everything on their menu for someone who did not know any better, frequently checking in on us. The food- incredible, and very well priced. Kids loved it. Waitress was nice to take a reservation and have table ready for us. What I didn't like is no one came to take order and after 20 mins wait I had to call someone to place the order. Prices are premium and I expect better service. Food comes fast once you order. Bottled water charged at $2 per bottle. They didn't provide glass to drink water. For the premium price and 18% gratuity's ,I do expect to drink in a glass. Overall the quality of food overcomes these minor service issues. Plates were empty and clean at the end. read more

Really excellent lunch spot - good portions of very well-spiced dishes. I had the Vindaloo chicken, which was delicious (and just hot enough to leave a tingle.) My friend had the Tadka daal, which was very tasty. Ambiance is OK; the decor is clean and modern, and relatively spare compared to the usual over-the-top Indian restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and interesting to talk to. Service was not the fastest, but the dishes were obviously made to order and not ladled out of a pot. They do a brisk dinner business late into the evening (by NJ standards), but are much less busy at lunchtime, when you'll never have to wait for a table.
