With his breed and temperament sometimes a lot of business don't accept him. I love Kennel Crest because they provide him his own kennel with is own run. They get let out one at a time where they can play by themselves but still see other dogs but not be let out with other dogs. This way I don't have to worry about getting puppies or fights. And the staff is truly amazing. They are very professional, helpful, and so kind. With having a Rottweiler they can often be intimidating but these staff get to know the dogs and create bonds and relationships. My dog is no longer afraid to go, he gets excited when he's the staff and they're excited to see him. I would 100% recommend this place if your dog is not the group boarding type and you need a secure and safe place to leave your fur babies.

At Kennel Crest my dog gets her own run with half of the run being inside and the other half being outside. There is a doggie door connecting the two sides so my dog can choose whether she wants to be inside or outside. The inside half is air conditioned/heated. The lower half of the run wall is concrete and the upper half is chain link fencing. They take my dog out of her kennel run twice a day and place her in a fenced-in area outside (by herself, not with other dogs, which is important to me) and clean her kennel twice a day. The first time I boarded my dog I asked staff to place her in a kennel at the far end, against the wall, so it would minimize her interaction with other dogs. (I didn't want her to frighten other dogs and stress them out) The staff were more than happy to accommodate my request and must have written a note in my account because the second time I boarded her they already had the same kennel set up for her and knew I was going to request the last kennel. I appreciate that they let me walk my dog to her kennel so I can see exactly where she will be at. They fed her twice a day, at my request, and gave her a chew bone every day like I requested. My dog completely destroyed her bed I brought so the staff set it aside in case I wanted to keep it, which I thought was a nice gesture. They gave her blankets to sleep on instead. I also expected my dog to be a little dirty from spending a week in a kennel but she actually looked cleaner when I picked her up. My husband even asked if they gave her a bath. I don't think they did but if they did that's great! My dog seems happy when I pick her up from Kennel Crest which in turn makes me happy!!! I would highly recommend.

She is so kind to send you updates. She also watches their health very closely. Vega started to show signs of a hotspot and she immediately notified me and helped me get the proper care for him. I got back a puppy that was potty trained!!!!!! No accidents since he has been home. He also know Sit, Come, Down. We are working more on the leash. I had a surprise work trip this week. She was able to take Vega for those days and help me with keeping the leash training going. She is so accommodating and knowledgeable. This is the best investment I could have made!!! The veterinarians at Wakarusa Veterinary Hospital demonstrate competence in their practice, but…read moreslightly taken aback by the perception of them being money-hungry due to the seemingly exorbitant fees per service, I question the necessity of an upfront $60 per dog "exam" fee that may not always result in a thorough assessment, especially when additional charges are incurred for addressing the initial/exam reason for the visit. Why do I have to argue with them EVERY visit about taking my dog(s) back into another back room without me, to do simple things like a blood draw or nail trim? We are already in a private room, what is it that you are doing that you don't want me to see... this policy I find intolerable. One of my dogs is mortified without me in the room. When I brought my dogs in for their annual heartworm tests, they tried to sell me multiple packages of Heartgard seemed unnecessary since I already had some at home, and I wasn't sure I wanted to purchase from them. I added the heartguard to an existing retailer online order I already had going, and was confused when the retailer said my vet would not approve it? Wakarusa called and said You know you can buy that from us, I said I already had an existing order that I am adding it to from an online retailer. They told me they would not approve it since I am not buying it from them unless I pay them an additional $10! After I have spent thousands there! This experience left me feeling exploited, especially after consistent patronage. They must make a lot of money from Heartguard or get some kind of kickback. I like to have a choice as to where I purchase from without paying a ransom. It feels a bit like a used car sales experience.
