Hands down some of the best gyatdamn Spanish food I've had in a minute. My girlfriend wanted to put me on to this spot in Punta Cana, and I'm glad she did. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet style setup and for $13.50 you're getting a plate that's absolutely stacked. I went in and loaded up on mac & cheese, pernil, chicharrones, chicken, and sweet onions and every single bite hit. The pernil was juicy, the chicharrones had the perfect crunch, and the mac & cheese tied everything together. I was so hungry I barely even took a picture before diving in -- that's how you know it's good. Huge shoutout to the guy serving us too. Great hospitality, super friendly, and he even recommended some drinks that paired perfectly with the food. If you're in Westbury and craving real, comforting Spanish food, this spot is a must. This is my go-to spot whenever I finish my Costco run. Spanish delis and storefronts that serve hot food aren't uncommon in the area, but it's always nice to have a place that consistently delivers high-quality food. I almost always order the pernil burrito. The saltiness of the pernil and the sweetness of the plantain pair very well for a delicious bite. It's always a bonus when they add ripe avocado. Definitely recommend it! If you are somehow still hungry, you can't go wrong with a small platter of arroz con gandules, beans, and chicken. The small plate isn't small; the servers always pack it to the brim, so you get your money's worth. The chicharrón bites are especially good--they're fried perfectly and have the right amount of fat. We came by for lunch about 1pm, right after finishing costco shopping. The food is always fresh, the lady behind the counter is always smiling and ready to make your order. The dark meat was very tender, the plantais were sweet, the arroz and gandules very savory and dont forget to ask for some of the gravy from the chicken for your rice. As always, i asked for the green garlic sauce- that sauce is addictive, tasty and loaded with garlic. Prices as anywhere else are up, remember that they charge a $1 extra for credit card transactions or avoid by paying cash. The potato salad is very classic and always a good choice. The grilled chicken is juicy and flavorful. The pernil is my FAVORITE. It is packed with flavor and so tender. Going to a show at the Space at Westbury we choose Punta Cana Dominican Grill because we get the food fast, the food is delicious and we didn't have to feel anxious waiting for food, the check, etc... going to a sit-down table service spot. We ordered a bowl asking for the beef stew, but the server gave us the chicken stew instead - we clarified, but since the bowl was made already we just went with it. The bowl came with a generous portion of yellow rice and a few maduros. The green sauce went perfect with this. We also got 3 empanadas - beef, chicken and cheeseburger. For me, beef empanadas are the best, the cheeseburger one is good, but the chicken is fairly bland shredded white meat chicken. The pink sauce is great with these. As we were sitting and eating a steady stream of customers came in picking up orders or order on the spot. I've been picking up food from here for years upon years and it's honestly one of the most consistent places in all of New York. The Pernil is so freaking tasty; no sauce necessary. (But the sauces do make the meal more fun! I get one of each and mix all 3 on whatever protein I'm having.) The Yellow Rice and Gandules, Black Beans, Maduros - everything always tastes fresh and not at all oily or greasy. The OG Baked Chicken quarters and Baked Chicken with Onions, Peppers, and Cilantro are also delicious and seasoned nicely. Those are my 3 go-to dishes. The chicken breast stew was the only thing I've had that I wouldn't get again. I found the sauce too thin and would prefer dark meat in this stew. The service is great as well. The lady in the front is always super helpful if you have any questions. She's never rushed me even if there's a line. Please make sure to tip her well! Legit one of my favorite places ever. This Punta Cana makes really good Dominican food. I used to order lunch from here via UberEats when I worked in the area. When I was on my healthy wave, my go to was their Avocado club salad with grilled chicken. Salad was always fresh, chicken is well cooked but tender and perfectly seasoned. They also are NOT cheap with their Avocados which is a BIG DEAL for me! I'm an avocado head. Portions were also great. I got the Stew chicken Cana bowl when I wasn't counting calories lol! I love Dominican food! I've been coming to Punta Cana for 2 years now and literally tried everything from here. My favorite dishes are chicharrón (fried pork belly), dark meat chicken stew and oxtail (Fridays only) with yellow rice & peas. I always ask for extra pink sauce for me to drench the chicharrón in. As for the sides, I usually get the maduros or yuca. The pernil, carne guisada and beef empanadas are good too just not my favorite. The service is usually quick and the staff are friendly. Another solid place on Long Island for pernil!! While the Cana bowl states one choice of protein, you can actually do half of one protein and another half of some other protein. I ordered the beef stew and chicken stew with a side of macaroni on white and my kids thoroughly enjoyed it. I encouraged my husband to order pernil Cana bowl for himself because I knew I wasn't going to share mine. This time, while I ordered pernil, white rice, black beans, with a side of maduros for myself, I was 1/4 way through and was full. The flavor is so delicious I put it away for later but when I went to look for it someone from my family already helped themselves to it. Our favorite spot to order for delivery! The food is amazing no matter what you get here. My go-to side that I always order with my food is the tostones. The small is actually pretty big and is perfect to be split with 2 hungry people. The empanadas are decent sized and packed! If you're a fan of empanadas, the empanada combo is perfect (3 empanadas with rice, beans, and sauce) and will definitely fill you up. The Cana bowls are perfect entrees for when you're very hungry. The container is always packed to the brim with your choice of rice & beans, meat, and side. Half the bowl is filled with rice, the meat and side on top, and a small container of beans on the side. If you love crunchy fried meat, I highly recommend both the chicken & pork chicharron. The chicken stew is good but I personally felt like they did not give enough of sauce making the chicken kind of dry. The pernil (roast pork) is a great choice if you want soft meat. It is seasoned well and very juicy. As much as I love their food, I've had numerous issues when ordering from here, particularly with the beans. There were times when the beans didn't even come with beans (it was just the sauce) or they forget it altogether. Sometimes they even forget our sides and sauces. The garlic sauce was okay but the green and pink sauce helped make it better. I enjoyed this ALOT. We got 3 empanadas, Cheeseburger, Beef & Chicken Fajita. All packed and not skimpy with the filling. Topped with homemade sauce you can't go wrong. All this washed down with a Morir Soñando and a Cana Juice (Lemonade and Passion Fruit). Truly a great dining experience.
