Ordered in pizza tonight. Pizza was ok. Pizza was baked but barely. There is no option for well done on the order form. I out it in the oven to crisp it up a little more. Flavors were ok. Not sure if I would order from here again. Overall pizza was tasty.

I went to Pupatella with the fam. We started with the Mozzarella balls appetizer--a different take on mozzarella sticks. There were lots of choices for thin-crust pizza baked in a wood-fired oven. Delicious, ney really delicious...Pizza was fresh and hot. Everyone had a different type. The daughter had a Margarita, Neapolitan buffalo mozzarella, basil, and olive oil with tomato sauce. Son has a Burrata, Burrata (extra creamy mozzarella), cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, and basil. I had a Mimosa with roasted corn, prosciutto cotto (ham), and fresh mozzarella with Italian cream sauce. All came out of the oven pretty fast. Pup's offers Mexican Coke with real cane sugar, Italian Blood Orange soda. Better than crap put out in the US Service. Perfect. Staff was friendly, and accommodating, Unfortunately, forgot our waitress's name(I think it was Matte) but definitely terrific, Place was clean and bright. Parking right at the restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Plenty of seats inside and patio (we sat on the patio despite it being a little windy that day). The individual pizzas are more than enough portions and had a lot of selection. Service was quick for a party of 5!

I placed a pick up order consisting of two appetizers and a sandwich. I ordered the fried mozzarella, fried zucchini sticks, and a meatball Panino. They used to have a regular meatball sandwich that had more meat and cheese in it, and I liked it a lot better than the Panino, but it was still pretty good. Honestly, I mostly come here because the fried mozzarella is delicious, it's my absolute favorite .

Party of 9 for a work lunch on a Tuesday. They don't take reservations but seating wasn't an issue, eat on the covered patio out front. Server was friendly and attentive with our large group and even split the checks for us so we could pay individually. Pizzas were hot, fresh and delicious. Italian margarita was a bit lackluster, tasted like a mix, and no sugared rim which was disappointing. Spinach pizza and Napoli salad were super flavorful.

Visited pupatella's this evening for the first time, cute little place with a very relaxing and laid back atmosphere. We got the mozzarella balls and they were so good, gooey and warm, I wish we got more but for $7 in Arlington it makes sense. We did 2 make your own pizzas but did not go over the 4 ingredient suggestion. Overall pizzas were pretty good, great sauce and ingredients, highly recommend getting bacon and sausage both were very good. Also the ricotta was our favorite for the cheese! The only complaint I had was the pizza was extremely floppy and soggy bottom, Neapolitan pizza is known for a thin crust which I love but it good have been a little more crusted as the pizza slid off every time I picked up a slice. We would definitely come again though!

There is also patio dining and an open bar area for al fresco dining/drinking. You must order the Chicken Parm and the Bucatini Carbonara. We are big Chicken Parm fans and their rendition is legit...the chicken is pounded thin and fried nicely and then they pour the cheese and sauce over it tableside. Nice show. The Bucatini is an even better show as they roll over the cheese wheel and light the cheese on fire...then take perfectly cooked Bucatini pasta and coat it with cheesy sauce in the wheel. Fire... Carbonara reminds me of the old school, red sauce joints of my childhood in Brooklyn. Solid, tasty Italian American dishes without the pretentiousness of more "fancy" Italian restaurants. The night of our dinner reservation, we asked if there was any way we could shift our reservation up (most of us were super hungry after just doing a yoga class), and they were able to accommodate us! Once we arrived, our server attended to our group with grace and warmth. My friends enjoyed their food, from the pizza to the chicken parmesan to the pasta. I usually eat chicken Alfredo, but tried the shrimp Alfredo and it was delicious! Toward the end of the meal, I was able to choose a complimentary dessert, and went for my server's recommendation, the pistachio cake. As the meal wrapped up, we were stunned when the lights went out (a few of us thought the power went out). However, it was a dramatic transition into me being surprised with cake and song! The cake was layered beautifully, fragrant and fluffy, and not too sweet. I passed it down the table for each of my friends to try, and they all offered words of praise. A Modo Mio offers many food specials. For example, on Tuesdays, that's when we stopped there for…read moredinner, all their pasta dishes are 1/2 price. However, given that they ranked 32nd among this country's top 50 Pizza restaurants, I had to order a pizza. And I'll get to my pizza after I discuss some other things, because it all plays together. Also, during my visit, I kept drawing comparisons between this place and Pupatella, a local Neapolitan pizza juggernaut. The Big Question to answer is why A Modo Mio got a spot on the Top 50 while Pupatella didn't even make the cut. Access is easy, and parking is good. There are lots of spaces that wrap around the restaurant. That's in contrast to Pupatell, which has limited parking and where I always wind up using the Safeway lot across the street. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating. It also has a long, well-stocked bar where you can sit to enjoy a beverage or a meal. Pupatella doesn't have any of that. When you arrive, you're greeted by a host who shows you to your seat. A very short while later, a waiter shows up and does all the things waiters do. At Pupatella, you wait in line to place your order, then find an open table. TLDR: Your dining experience, outside of the food, is much more civilized and relaxing at A Modo Mio. The pie that earned their 32 out of 50 ranking was the Sicilia. But I ordered a 12" Casertana because I'm not crazy about eggplant and like sausage. The pie arrived a short while later, piping hot and loaded with sausage. The taste was sublime and delicious. My only complaint was that the basil was added before baking, and I prefer that herb when it's not reduced to ash. So back to The Big Question, is the A Modo Mio pizza *that* much better than Pupatella that it earned a spot amongst the Top 50 while the other one didn't even make the cut? Frankly, it's not. It is good pizza... possibly great pizza. But that's also true of the other place. What sets A Modo Mio apart from that other place, and the answer to the Big Question, is that the criteria for generating the Top 50 list included more than the pizza. It also took into account: - Hospitality and Service - Ambiance - Beverage Program. Beyond the pizza, A Modo Mio has those things in abundance, while the other place pretty much has none. TLDR: Comparing pizzas side by side, the two places are on par. However, if you take into account the entire dining experience, you will be much happier with your pizza here, as opposed to that other place or most other pizza restaurants in the DMV area.

I made a mistake and didn't realize this was a fork and knife establishment. I picked up my pizza and all the toppings fell off. But to be honest... even with "fork and knife pizza" the toppings should not be goopy and slippery. Does the best pie and Arlington hold like that on the regular? Nothing special about the toppings either. The crust and dough were the best part of this experience, but an amazing pie, should have all component's complimenting each other. Is it decent pizza? Yes. Best pizza in Arlington? I don't think so.

When we were finally seated, we told the waitress at the top of the night that we had a gluten intolerance in our group. We got to send the food back luckily, but by the time it came we were all done eating, and her pasta was undercooked. Additionally, we order two appetizers, they didn't come until significantly after all our entrees. We had to ask multiple times for them to take this off our order, but they refused. After multiple attempts to fix this, we finally got them comped. When we ordered drinks, my friend didn't get her drink until 10 minutes after everyone else got theirs. When I had ordered previously, I always found that my pie was not ready and I had to wait. Each time, I waited a bit longer, and each time, still not ready. So, this time, ordered my pizza before 9:00 PM and did not depart immediately -- but instead waited a full 20 minutes before even walking there slow. When I arrived, the pizza was..... still not ready. It occurs to me that this shop is situated in a time zone that is somehow TEN MINUTES BEHIND the time your order is due. The guy says "five minutes." In any case, I stand, I wait.... and I.... wait some more. It wasn't five minutes. Lots of workers standing. Nearing the 9:30 mark, someone finally says "have you been helped?" And whadda ya know? Found out the reason I was still waiting - BECAUSE MY PIE WAS SITTING THERE THE WHOLE DAMN TIME! Getting cold. She says "we're just getting that cut up." But they weren't - it was already cut. They took one of their old pies off the rack and slid it right into a box. It wasn't in the oven. I could feel it was cold, but yes, I took it and went home. I can't say you couldn't eat it but.... it wasn't good. We did eat some of it, but only after baking it in my own oven. Good thing I ordered in advance, eh? If you are going to do a take out here, my advice would be to skip ordering altogether, and just go there and get the slices yourself. They won't be too fresh, but at least it will be fast. Better yet, go across the street to Quincy Hall, (or over to Wise Guys) where they will bake the pizza to order and have it hot and ready when you arrive. Keep in mind here they charge $32 for a pizza, full price only. NOT worth it, won't be back, do not recommend.

Oftentimes there's something wrong with restaurant Italian food. Maybe it's the serving size, the sauce, the quality of the meat, the pasta itself, or the price. I have to say they all lined up perfectly here. The price point is rather high, but considering quality and quantity, it makes perfect sense, and I'd say is well-priced. I'll also add - I ordered my food from a delivery service. So I didn't even get to experience the restaurant itself, where I'm sure the food would have been even better. If I had one piece of constructive criticism, the meatballs were maybe a tad too salty. I loved them, but to eat all four in the Matrimonia, I felt a bit tapped out by the end. This is also because the serving size is, as mentioned, massive. So really hard to say this is a criticism, as if there were fewer or smaller meatballs, you'd be extra grateful for the punch they have.
