This place is a mess! There are three staff members standing around with a bunch of super confused guests. Some instruction would be nice. Assuming people know what they're doing while getting paid is ridiculous. There's no order around who is being seated, how to get seated, how to order, how to get your drinks. Not sure what the deal is, but its definitely not worth the wait for a neopolitan pizza. If you're still reading, there is street parking in the neighborhood. You order at the register - regardless of where you plan on eating. After you order, you check in with the hostess (who is likely hidden behind a hoard of people). If you order a drink, you may be asked whether you want to drink it while you stand in line for a table. If you get a bottled drink, grab it out of the fridge yourself. This is probably the best pizza I've had in the south Arlington area. It's good to know that the pizza are personal sizes for most people - it is not enough for adults to spilt. During COVID, you order at the stand on the patio, sit down and the food is brought out to you. It's a little hectic, but they seem to have a streamline process for takeout orders. Other flag is the patio gets pretty hot in the summer, we were sweating nonstop and almost took the pizza to go. We typically order a Frittura Sampler (best dine-in because it's fried and doesn't travel well), the mushroom pizza, and some type of cheese. We have also tried the salads (def not a salad place), eggplant pizza, and a few meat pies. It has better parking, in both the lot and free on street, but don't plan on parking anywhere directly nearby around dinner time. The pizza is ok but the customer service was not good at all when I went there to pick up my pizza.

I moved here from New York 3 years ago, and this is the only good pizza I've had in the DMV. It's not good though, it's great. It's REAL pizza. I've only ever ordered it to go, but finally sat in the restaurant last weekend. It was even better. It's cute too. Reminded me of a cafe in Lucca. They shut the kitchen down briefly (I think for 30 minutes?) at 3:30pm to clean the brick oven, which I had already known from looking at their website ahead of time. The day I was there I felt so bad for them because some douche rolled in at 3:29pm with his wife and stroller and started complaining that they were cleaning. I heard, "NOT COOL. It's not 3:30." I looked at my phone and it was 3:29 - how were you going to put in a food order in 1 minute? Get outta here. But then he started taking pictures of them cleaning as he was walking out, saying, "Not cool, not cool" over and over. No, sir, you are not cool. Bums me out that people have to deal with asshats like that. Especially because everyone on the staff that we interacted with was friendly and great. I have heard a lot about how great the pizza is here so I've been dying try this place out. For a Tuesday night, it was quite busy but overall service didn't take that long. You order first before you get seated. The menu had good-looking options and I had some difficulty picking out what I want; I just wanted to try them all! I ended up going with something different and ordered the Mimosa pizza since I don't think I've ever had white pizza before. It's a little bigger than what I would think for a personal pizza. For me, eating two of the four slices wasn't enough yet eating three slices might've been too much and that leftover wouldn't be enough for an entire meal (this is a dilemma I often have with pizza - either eat half or the whole thing). I thought the taste of the pizza was interesting and unlike anything I've ever had before. It was pretty good though I'm wondering if I would've been more satisfied with another option. Super nice people.......but just wasnt feeling the pizza vibe. They make a big hulaballo over the quality of their ingredients. In the end it was some overpriced pita dough that was soggy due to the huge amount of grease. Wondering if it would be better if i took it home and reheated it. First, it is closed from 3:30-4:30 to clean the ovens. There was a line at 4:25 going out the door. So plan ahead of you don't want to wait long. This is the second time eating here. Great food and the employees are friendly. There is a small bar with beers on tap and a choice of gelato. Parking is on both sides of the building. I love the pizza here. It is the best dough/crust I've had - I'm a particular fan of wood-fired pizza. Personally I prefer the plain or mushroom as the grease from the fatty meat detracts from the quality. However, their prosciutto is very good. The salads are very satisfying too, although limited ingredients - if they had an amazing Caesar salad I'd be over the moon but that may not be a Neapolitan thing. I love arugula anyway which seems to be their go-to. The bad news - their house wine. I personally find the Montepulciano painful to drink. But this will continue to be my go-to pizza place, I just won't order the wine. read more

I've been to the original location numerous times and this one lives up to the other. Hands down the BEST pizza in Arlington. All the pizzas are flavorful and authentically made. Cannot recommend the mushroom pizza (with Brie cheese--sooooo good!) and the arincini balls enough. The eggplant arincini is my favorite! Also, they have their shelter-in-place pickup down to a T. Order/pay over the phone and no contact at all once you're there. You wait on the patio, and they'll place your order on a table outside. The patio is spacious enough to remain farther than 6 ft from the other people waiting. read more

Arancini and panzarotti arrived hot but the both pizza Margherita were cold and soggy as if made in advance. Driver did not have intervening stops as on previous orders. Despite a busy line on a weekday I was very pleasantly surprised at how incredibly hospitable the staff were. No staff member passed me without acknowledging me and making sure I was getting everything I wanted no matter how rushed they seemed. The restaurant is a little crowded but that's usual at the Wilson location too. Just a testament to how great their pizza is! We've been going to the North Arlington location forever and we were very excited to have Pupatella within walking distance of our home now. We went in tonight for the second time, and for the second time they messed up our order. The first time we ordered to-go and noticed once we got home that my husband's pizza was missing toppings. This time we decided to dine-in and and this time my pizza was missing a topping. The server kindly offered and boxed up the incorrectly made pizza for me to take home (pretty standard)... then she came back and said that her manager told her that I wasn't allowed to take the pizza home??!!!! WHAT??? So they messed up my food, now I'm hungry and waiting for my new pizza, and they're throwing away (or eating?) the old pizza? They ended up making me a new pizza with the missing topping, but the remake was now missing a different topping- so I ended up eating a messed up pizza anyways because I wasn't going to wait any longer in hopes that maybe I could eventually get the pizza that I ordered.. Pupatella pizza is delicious, but we have now had 3/5 pizzas made incorrectly/missing items. The servers were very friendly, however the manager on duty didn't seem at all concerned or apologetic about the mistakes.
