I'm a little picky with pupusas. These are great. Nice and crispy on the outside. Soft and gooey and cheesy on the inside.

I have had Salvadoran several times at home (Kansas City), and thought I had found some of the best around. However, while traveling to Denver recently, found this place and wanted to compare and contrast. Simply, this place rocks - much better than my home market. I had the zucchini and cheese papusa and chicken tamale. Wife had the sweet corn tamale and pork papusa. And fried plantains. AWESOME. Highly recommended. The pupusas made with regular masa and also rice one also they are so good that it will bring you memories when you were in El Salvador and also they have Empanadas de frijoles one of the best desert. I tried the chicken tamale and the pork Pupusas. The tamale was really good and I prefer that to the Pupusas. The tamale was stuffed with chicken and very flavorful. I've never had Pupusas before so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I thought it was a little oily, but that could be normal. The really good thing about this place is that everything is pretty cheap and filling so you can get full with $7. I would recommend since I've never tried any place like this before, but I probably wouldn't eat here regularly! read more

I don't usually write reviews but was so impressed by the food here! Came here for dinner when other plans fell through. I ordered a chicken tamale, mixed pupusas (pork, beans, and cheese), and a zucchini pupusas. The tamale came out first and it was the best tamale I've ever had. Wasn't dry like most tamales come back in LA. It also had a strip of potato which was a nice touch. The pupusas were something new to me, and I'm still not sure how exactly to eat it... perhaps like a tostada or pizza? Regardless, they were absolutely delicious. There are also a few vegetarian options if you're vegetarian. The woman behind the counter was nice and helpful, and chatted a bit when we asked about the food and country in general. Great food! We come here whenever we are in the area. The fried plantains are always delicious! The pork and cheese pupusas are my go to. My kids love the bean and cheese. The horchata isn't sweet like most places (it's authentic) only complaint is the wait time is on average 20 minutes with no one else in the store. This restaurant is amazing. The tamal de elote is so good, my kid loves every bite and she doesn't eat much food outside of a home made meal. The main attraction is the pupusas, those are the best I've ever had. They are bigger than 5 inch diameter, and they are perfectly made. The fermented cabbage, onion, carrot topping is really tasty. The main selling point had to have been the sauce. Normally, this sauce is kind of bland and doesn't add to the flavor of the pupusas but this placed sauce is amazing. It's flavorful, not spicy by any means and it tips off the pupusa perfect. The place hits the spot and it's not too pricey. Normally, food like this is either on Federal or Colfax but It's a sure hidden gem hidden behind all of the repetitious food like McDonald's/Burger King/del taco/ pho combos. Absolutely amazing! I had the loroco and the pork bean and cheese and loved every bite. The cabbage was a great touch to add a little heat and balance out the savory. The gentleman at the counter took the time to explain every dish to me and was incredibly friendly. Every one else was friendly and smiling. Took about 10 minutes for fresh made wonderful food. Prices are super reasonable and I was filled up with the 2 papusas. I'll definitely be back, probably on a weekly basis. Looking forward to trying their desayuno after a night of drinking. The pupusas are 5/10 the cheese used isn't our authentic cheese therefore that definitely changes everything as the cheese is the essence of a pupusas. I found the Tamales de elote & Atol de elote has been consistently delicious. read more

Best pupuseria in Colorado!! (I can say so cause I'm full Salvadoran) The pupusas are three dollars but it's worth it! They're huge and filled. I've tried the zucchini and cheese , chicken and cheese , and beans and cheese and all were delicious! The ensalada (fruit drink) was okay tasted like it's been in the fridge all day but still had a pretty decent taste. Tried this place for the first time yesterday and we were soooo impressed!! The woman who took our order recommended the Paradise Plate, which is a delish variety plate of a bunch of different offerings. Everything was incredible! Never tried Pupusas before, so didn't really know what to expect. They are delicious little pockets of yum. We got to try three flavors. All good! We also tried the empanadas, fried plantains, yucca, tamales, spicy slaw, and fresh 'mixed fruit' juice (strawberry, grape, pineapple, and apples). I literally recommend everything.
