I get it, but you should treat first time customers the same to make them repeat customers? The issue was with service and how we were treated after we had to get service. Normally this pad Thai leans savory over sweet, but this time it just straight up tasted sour. The tofu was nothing to write home about, which is typically not the experience I have here. The Mongolian beef tasted like it had more sear on the meat than actual beef. It tasted over-charred. The rice and veggies were good, but that's kind of a simple feat. I ordered the Pomegrantate martini which was good. The space was also very hot, I understand it's a hot day and a busy restaurant but my legs were dripping in sweat the entire hour we were there. I will give them a try again, because I know from previous experiences the pad Thai was usually great. That tofu is what I keep coming back for! Hopefully next time it'll meet my expectations. Though there's no active website that I can locate, it's easy to find out where he will be and what he will be serving by following his Facebook page. At today's market, The Crepe Guy was making a chicken and waffles-topped crepe and a blueberry-topped crepe. I opted for chicken and waffles, a crepe I've tried before and loved. Today's chicken and waffles crepe looked beautiful but didn't do much for me. I found the chicken to be over shredded and over saturated with syrup, making it pretty mushy and too sweet. The crepe itself was delicious, as was the chive butter on top. Because I've had a successful experience with The Crepe Guy before and also because he's so wildly popular with my friends, I know I'll visit his booth again. He's a very creative cook and I definitely want to try some of the other crepes in his repertoire.

Our go-to order is to get a full Caprese Sandwich and a full El Rancho Sandwich and each have a half of both sandwiches. It is the perfect way to get two amazing sandwiches. Both sandwiches are on delicious baguette that has both the necessary crunch of baguette, but the soft interior. The Caprese is refreshing and crisp with an extra zip from the balsamic and creaminess from the avocado and pesto. The El Rancho is scrumptious with roast beef, tomato, arugula, caramelized onions, feta cheese, and a zippy horseradish sauce. If I was forced to choose just one, I'd get the El Rancho. But I prefer having a half of both! You can get sides of Great Lakes chips, a variety of bottled drinks, and a few baked good dessert items. On a couple visits, I can tell you this place is ALWAYS busy - and with good reason. Book ahead to be outside though, otherwise you won't get a table there. And know that despite a clientele often including many families it can be a bit loud when busy and tries to be on the hip side with the music getting pumped in from speakers throughout the dining room. Wine list and cocktails are about as good as you'll find by the glass, while food has been pretty good on visits for both brunch and dinner. You can trust the seafood here, and while the crab cake didn't blow me away it was good. This is one place that I trust the crudo and poke bowls which are excellent on the raw fish options, though I wouldn't personally recommend the filet poke bowl which was a salt/umami bomb and on a recent visit there were also some issues with my wife's pork chop which had good flavor but was overcooked (she was okay with that, but if you say it's recommended medium - which I prefer - please serve it closer to medium rather than well done). Desserts are generally good, and a lot of people appear to come here for special occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. where they bring out a free dessert with a large sparkler thing which gets attention but honestly doesn't seem entirely safe to me. Yes, that means I'm getting old but I'm not wrong... Service is excellent, ambience is very nice, and for a high volume kitchen like this they do a pretty good job with excellent ingredients at their disposal. I'll round up from 4.5 stars, in this area it's about as good as you'll find and definitely worth a visit.
