I came here with my mom for some pupusas. The restaurant is a little small but is very authentic. The service was okay there was a little miscommunication as he mainly spoke Spanish but it was fine. I liked the bean and cheese pupusas and the plantain. I decided to try the horchata as I had never had it before it was definitely a new flavor it reminded me of the milk left in a bowl from Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I'm glad I tried it! The food took a little bit to come as I know they made it per order which was nice. Overall the food was okay not the best El Salvadoran food but it was good. read more

Overall the food was just okay. The pupusas were average. The bean and cheese was pretty good but that was the only one I cared for. The fruit salad drink was really sweet and good. We got a side of rice and the rice was salty with overcooked hard rice scraped in there. I wasn't happy with this at all. The cashier couldn't speak any English and while she was nice it was hard to communicate. They offer a cash discount so if you go I would bring cash. The restaurant seemed clean and well kept. All in all because there are so many better pupusas places in the area I would not return nor recommend this place. read more

I consider it a soft opening so far, as some of the items on the menu were not available yet (especially the combination plates). But I suspect you didn't come here for the combos. The stars of the show are the pupusas, of course. There is a strong sense of Salvadoran national pride here, as the map of El Salvador is literally the logo of the restaurant. The Salvadoran flags adorn the interior, and the clientele seems to reflect that too. The menu is completely in Spanish. I have rudimentary Spanish linguistic skill, so I had to use Google translate for some of the items. The pupusas were great. The bread was perfectly grilled, and the filling was gooey and rich. The salad that accompanied the pupusas was refreshing. For all dine-in patrons, you receive a crispy bowl of tortilla chips with salsa. The chips were well-toasted, and that's the way I like them. The horchata drink was typical--not bad but it certainly didn't stand out. I did like the particulate condiment in the drink. Attentive service was a plus, but I had to wait quite a while for my simple order (two pupusas). Overall, if you want to experience an authentic Salvadoran dining setting, look no further. read more

Where do I start? This was my first time in the place, straight mom and pop which I really like. An older female greeted me, I asked to eat in, I ordered 2 bean, cheese and pork pupusas and the beef soup. My meal came out which looked very good, I did notice the pupusas didn't have anything in it so I tried it with my soup. The veggies in the soup was cut in large pieces and meat was still attached to the bone, so I asked the older male that was sitting on the clock eating eggs, beans and other stuff would it be okay if he handed me a knife he turned and looked and me with disgust went and got a butter knife didn't hand it to me but put in on my table, I'm like okay. I didn't finish my soup and it was time for me to head back to work so I asked the older man to please have the lady I spoke with prior to please give me my check and a carryout container he said "what"!! I asked again and said What? He then said don't you talk to me like that, so I said wait you said what to me but I can't say what to you? He pointed at the sign that said we reserve the right to refuse any service, (like I really cared) but he refused to give me my check or a carryout container I was just sitting there waiting for about 10-15 minutes, so I said again may I have my check? BTW I never got the pupusas the older female said I never ordered them lol finally he said that will be $20 I paid didn't take my food he told me to get out tried to bully me at the door smh. Please don't spend your money at the place, they are rude and the food was okay if that. In this climate we need each other more than ever I'm a Woman of color and so are they should be shame treating people like they did me, I will tell everyone who listens what my experience was like, especially the KP hospital across the street. read more

I hate to do this because I love my pupusas but we had an unpleasant experience. 1 person was there when we came in... and the man in the front couldn't get it together. We ordered pupusas 3 with loroco and cheese and 1 bean and cheese. We also ordered plátanos with beans and cream and a coffee. The coffee was old and no milk could have changed the taste and look of it. The man was bothered that we sent it back saying "he just made it!" It was black even with milk and the taste was not good. The bean and cheese pupusa tasted bland and the loroco pupusa was just awful no taste. Our plátano plate came late and when it finally arrived it was soggy and oily beyond anything I've had. I really wanted to like it but I just felt bad. We didn't finish our food got up paid and left. The look of the place is ok.... I just would never come back good luck. read more

What a wonderful little gem this place is. My husband and I had breakfast here on our first visit. The owners were quite welcoming and attentive. I ordered the shredded beef egg breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The portion was so generous that I took half of it home for another time. My husband had one of the chorizo egg breakfasts and ate every bit of it. The coffee was hot and delicious too! The restaurant is within walking distance of our home so I'm sure we'll come back. Next time we are going to try the pupusas that they are known for making. This is a very small place but it has a nice feel to it. read more

The pupusas revueltas (cheese, beans and pork) are delicious. They are generous with the curtido and salsa as the fixings. The pupusas are prolly as big as my hand. The service was fast. I called in my order and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. They have like 3 or 4 TVs showing soccer or a movie. The place is clean but a bit small with at least 6 tables. Parking can be tricky since it's shared with several other businesses. There is street parking too. read more

Owner became defensive and as I was trying to show him. He did not want to deal with the question so he canceled my order and gave me my money back. It's a shame. Don't get me wrong the food was good but honestly waiting 1 hour for 3 pupusas is exaggerating. They said they were busy but I seen many people get their orders before mine. They even sat 2 different groups of guest and they got served faster then I did. I came in and ordered at 11:40 and ended up leaving almost at 1pm because no one had thought of doing the customers order before the online/phone orders . On top of that when I said can I get a drink for the wait the manager or I assume he was ( older gentleman) he gave me a bothered faced like I didn't just wait 1 hour for 3 pupusas.
