I finally found a work out that I LOVE and I purposefully make time for in my busy schedule!!! All the instructors are so nice and so supportive! I actually like it when they correct my form and tell me when I'm doing something right. Also, the routines keep changing I'm never bored! The music is so catchy and updated to the latest hits! I find myself tucking and pressing as I'm singing along to my favorite songs. It takes about 10 classes to kinda understand how to "tuck" and etc. I have to say getting to those 10 was my first goal and I never looked back. The clothes are pretty pricey, but that's normal for this type of apparel. BUT, they do have mark downs and sales throughout the year so that's when I tend to splurge. ALTHOUGH, I recommend just getting the pants or tops or socks you first see because once it's gone, it's really gone. I've regretted not buying the pair I had my eye on several times lol. Since I've joined pure barre I've gotten so many positive compliments on my energy, posture, and overall body!!! An awesome experience. Helped me challenge myself more than I expected! All the instructor's are great! I enjoyed the pace and variation in the routine in each class. It was never the same which is exactly what helps work out the muscles that usually won't be used much. The Barre class effect was immediate, after the class I'd feel so toned in my muscles that I'd do part of the class routine (that I found hard on myself), at home just to practice more and feel comfortable with it. Came with one of my sisters super excited for our free first class. The class was challenging and amazing! We took it with Jillian Hendrickson she is great! Loved the class quick but good workout. However when class was done we got bombarded with the pressure to buy a package from the girl at the front desk. I mean I get it it's her job but give us a second to think. Then what really turned us off is they did not give us our first class free! Someone came by our house a week before handing out cards for a free first class then when we went she said no, that they were for January, and even online it said free first class! So we just paid and left. Probably won't come back because of that. read more

Besides loving the classes/workout and class structure themselves, the instructors here are what keep me coming back. I've been to countless types of group classes in the past, and always get those weird uncomfortable vibes at first. Not here. The instructors and girls at the front desk are so great about making you feel welcome and comfortable. They all walk around and correct your form without making you feel stupid.. especially Nicole, who I've noticed does this really well (at least in my opinion). Everyone still thinks I'm crazy that I spend so much time talking and promoting Pure Barre (PB). Coming to PB in Brea/Anaheim Hills has been a huge game changer for me since I started going regularly since March 2016. I've tried almost every type of cross training out there to supplement my triathlon racing, and I'm convinced that PB is best for me. Here are my top reasons: 1. The quality and consistency of instruction After being a member of 24 hour fitness (10+ years), CrossFit (3+ years), along with attending various Spin Studios, Orange Theory, etc.. I've learned that good instructors are very hard to come by. I'd end up scheduling group classes around instructors, instead of what works best for my busy schedule. I don't have this problem at PB, because all of the instructors do an amazing job. The attention to detail and timing of cues used throughout the class are as good as it gets! Even the music seems to be coordinated, which has me believing that the instructors spend a considerable amount of time preparing for class. PB definitely sets a high standard of fitness instruction that I hope other gyms would model. 2. Measurable results over time Most of my triathlete friends were very skeptical of my idea to cut back on the triathlon training a bit to make time to attend PB ~6 times per week. I was worried at first that I'd regress in my performance, but after a solid month, the benefits are very obvious. It's definitely make me faster and it's only going to get better. I've finally been able to achieve my goal to "KOM" a 17 mile Strava segment on the Santa Ana River Trail that I've been chasing for over 1.5 years. I beat my last PR by almost a minute! I also posted my fastest swim split (pace per 100) in my last triathlon. I'm so used to working the "big muscles" in swim/bike/run vs. all the "small muscles" and core that you focus on in PB. I'm certain that it's just a matter of time until more endurance athletes who are serious with taking their performance to the next level will start to incorporate PB into their schedules. 3. Community The staff and people I've met in class have always been friendly and encouraging. I never hesitate when I need to ask for help. If I ever had a question or needed something, I would e-mail Amber and she would get back to me in a few hours. I guess it's also not surprising that the staff knows me by name since I've only seen one guy in one class since I've started. I'm not a huge fan of their clothing selection, but I guess the store doesn't have too much room to hold all the guy clothing. One of these days. read more

I have never committed in going to the gym for any exercise regimen. I have always claimed that I have an allergic reaction to my sweat as an excuse for not doing any strenuous activity. Then one day, I saw a picture of myself and how I have let go of a "once ok body" to now "what happened body." I got so busy with work and children that i never took time to take care of myself. One day I decided to look for a place to workout. I tried the one week for free. It was hard. I sweat like a pig. And it was worth it. Pure barre is amazing. I've tried both pure barre classes and just did my first empower class this morning and loved it! The instructors are so sweet and encouraging. I'm a new client at the Brea studio and I have found they have some great teachers. I work out because I enjoy the movement. Diets, calories, weight loss or any other motivation outside of enjoyment does not interest me and I have stopped going places before because of excessive weight or diet talk. The teachers at the Brea Pure Barre make each workout about your own strength and movement and they are extremely motivating. I love this place! I took their classes at least 3-4 times a week for a little over a month. And I definitely saw some improvements. It's all about the small movements! Definitely love how they target all the areas of the body with different techniques. Pure Barre will get you shaking! My first class totally got my legs and thighs shaking but it was worth it. I was really sore for the next few days. The instructors are all great and really nice! They will help you with your form and show you how to do the exercises right.
