The shortbread cookie with icing is soooooo good. The best I have had. The italian soda on the other hand was lacking and I was left wishing it was better. Maybe it needed another pump of flavor or the soda was almost not bubbly anymore. Either way I wouldn't order again. The desserts though, I would try more. The line can be a bit long but it moves. The place is busy full of those working or trying to catch up over a sweet treat. The cleanliness is average and overall like they just turn tables so fast the staff is always trying to catch up. But they do come over to wipe down your table which is nice. I wouldn't necessarily be here for the vibes but the desserts yes.

Happy 14th Birthday Pure Bliss! Berries & Cream, Salted Caramel Chocolate, Chocolate Porter, Vegan Peanut Butter Brownie & French Silk Tart

We always look forward to visiting Pure Bliss Desserts when we're in the area. They have a wide array of dessert options, there is something for everyone here including vegan and GF options. The three of us attended their 14th birthday on 10/24 where each customer received a mini parfait and 20% off desserts, beverages and merch. My family loves dessert, so we stocked up. The desserts taste as good as they look.

Friday at 2pm, and there was quite a wait just to get a couple of items to go. Seems like they do a very good takeout / catering business, and they were quite busy packing a bunch of goodies. In the meantime, the ordering line grew to about 10 people deep. Anyway, I wanted to get a brownie and a Nanaimo wedge, but my husband convinced me we should each enjoy a Nanaimo, since we can't get them anywhere but in the Vancouver Island area. We hadn't had one in a very long time. Our tastes might have changed, but we both felt these were much too sweet for our current palettes. I should've gotten that brownie instead! For most goodies, pricing was identical ($5.15) to another Bellingham fancy bakery, quite expensive for me.

It was wonderful...this was the only candle we had so I turned two

So wonderful! We went and picked out my birthday cake and of course had to have a slice and coffee! (Because it was my birthday!). Highly recommend! Wonderful atmosphere and they do a great job!

Our first visit to Pure Bliss. Jack took great care of us, made us feel at home, and gave us great recommendations. It is so adorable when you walk in, and there are so many choices in the cases. The cake slices we shared, chocolate sea salt caramel, chocolate coconut and gluten free carrot cake were wonderful. The vanilla ice cream was so creamy. We will absolutely be back. Hope you see Jack when you go, he'll take great care of you.

Lots of freshly baked dessert options some of the best ones are the ones with local seasonal fruits. They also offer wine/champagne. Service is always friendly. When ordering there's typically a wait because they're always so busy but they bring your order right to you while you enjoy the lounge. Cute little local bakery that I highly recommend.

If you have a sweet tooth, walk into Pure Bliss. After dinner nearby, my wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law popped into Pure Bliss for dessert. Here's our experience. 1) Food: Going at around 9 p.m., many desserts were sold out, but still the counter was filled with New York style cheesecake, Russian tea cookies, pistachio cake, and more. Everyone loved their dessert- pistachio cake, eggnog cheeecake, New York cheesecake, and a chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If the cake slices are too big, other the petite slice. 2) Service: It was excellent- friendly and attentive. If you don't know what to order, staff will help you out! 3) Space: With white tiles and neon lights, the space is inviting. There are plenty of places to sit. There are two unisex restrooms in the back.

Ah, how good this bakery is!! The interior is cute and the dessert case is filled with tempting treats. I honestly would have liked to have tried one of everything. I picked a chocolate buttercream classic and it was so fresh and good! I highly recommend this establishment!

Vegan Carrot Cake

I had a slice of vegan carrot cake and it was amazing! I liked how prominent the spice was, and it was so moist - you would never guess it was vegan. I thought it looked like a big piece, but it felt like it was gone in the blink of an eye because I could not make myself slow down. The shop was also a very nice place to stay and enjoy my dessert. It was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of seating: booths with outlets, traditional tables, and patio. Very pleasant staff.

Our chocolate, vegan/gluten-free cake.

This place is amazing! Great food, great service! The chocolate cakes are the best, the vanilla cakes can be a bit dry.

Have wanted to try Turkish coffee for awhile and we found ourselves walking past this place after…read moreeating dinner and decided it was the perfect time! Oh man was it amazing, got the cardamom coffee to go with a piece of Helva for my little and the Chocolate baklava for me and hubs to split! The server was so nice and made sure to inform me the right way to just sip the coffee as it's not like regular drinking coffee- he asked I preferred sweet coffee and I said yes so he added a little sugar and it was just beautiful! My little demolished the Helva and hubs and I enjoyed our chocolate baklava at the end of a very fun but busy day! The shop it's self is small but beautiful as were the other customers enjoying their coffee made room for my little at the counter to look at all the treats in the case! Can't wait to head back and try some of the other yummy treats they have to offer!

How I heard of this place: On a visit to Bellingham a couple of years ago, my sister and mother…read moretold us about this new Turkish cafe downtown with sweet reminiscences of our visits to Turkey. We simply had to give it a try. And continue coming back. Type of cuisine: Turkish fare - from simit and borek, to cardamom or pistachio infused Turkish coffee, apricot and apple teas, baklava and lokum. We have always loved the foods, mostly imported directly from Turkey. Ambiance: Sweet and cozy, the space is full of beautiful Turkish art/craft - from lighting to seating, from merchandise to the tasty treats served, we love our bay window benches and small, tiled tables that barely hold everything we order. The brother-owners are always wreathed in smiles and humble, grateful service. The music is soft, but always a surprise - sometimes Turkish, sometimes rock, sometimes jazzy, always fun and unobtrusive. We also love the huge barrel "tables" used as outdoor seating under a covered "patio". What I ordered: I was sad to hear that they no longer make/serve their refreshing and lovely apricot tea, so I chose a sweet cardamom coffee. My sister each chose a turkish coffee and pistachio coffee. A hot chocolate for my husband and two apple teas for the children. We ordered one of each selection of baklava available - pistachio, walnut, chocolate pistachio, halva and another walnut treat. Not to mention peach and blackberry lokum. We also ordered a potato & cheese sandwich; they ran out of the bread so substituted potato borek topped with cheese for our savory snack. What I loved: Always the service; quiet, humble, spot on. The coffee is truly magnificent and fully takes you back to Turkey. The baklava is sweet and soaked in honey, just like the cafes in Istanbul, and the beautiful lighting mesmerizes each of us every time. Why I loved it: It's always a little escape entering the doors of Ashuri, and like a mini vacation in a home away from home. Cost: Average
