The staff did an initial skin consultation and were respectful when we declined to upgrade the service. I brought my fiance in to redeem a microneedling treatment Groupon. He has never had any facial treatments at all so he was very nervous. Tina helped apply the numbing cream beforehand so it was not too painful for him. Mireille helped him relax by explaining everything and we all discussed food spots in the area. Her friendly demeanor definitely helped create a calming environment. Although she recommended 3-6 sessions, I do think I see a minor improvement after this first one. Mireille gave us advice on follow up care and we purchased a face mask ($12) before we left. There is a $50 appointment deposit but it is refundable if you cancel early enough or you can use it to pay for your service, buy products, or leave a tip. As other reviews mention, there is free parking near the location but the spots are limited and unlike others I did have to circle around the block before a spot freed up. My only complaint about this place is the automated texting line. It is terrible.

I went to another laser place prior and not only were the prices extremely outrageous, but they also used older laser technology that made every treatment significantly more painful. I even ended up with a burn on my bikini area from that clinic. When I came to LA Beauty Skin Center, the nurses were so attentive and caring, they took the time to examine it and recommended a cream to help it heal and remove the hyperpigmentation. I've now had three treatments here, with more appointments already scheduled. Their newer laser technology makes a huge difference. The treatments are much less painful, appointments are quick, and the staff always make me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Ani, who took care of me today, was the sweetest and funniest ever. She made my appointment so enjoyable, and I felt lucky to have her as my provider. I'm from Los Angeles but spend a lot of time in Dallas, Texas, for work and school. Yikes. * The 4th session (the worst and last for me) was done by an inexperienced nurse who accidentally targeted my eyelid/eyelash area with the laser. * This caused significant pain, tearing, and irritation, and part of my eyelash was burned/cut off by mistake!!!!!. * Her reaction was unprofessional when I pointed it out. * I immediately reported the issue to reception. * I was later connected to a remote nurse/clinician via video call, but the response was dismissive and unhelpful, suggesting castor oil and saying it would regrow. What started out as a small white scar close to my…read moreunder eye lid, ended up being crayola colored on in thick white permanent tattoo all under my left eye. 2 days after Gina performed the scar camouflage I knew there was an issue. I immediately reached out to her and she acted nonchalant promising me via text it would fade as "hardly any color was used" - she had me come in a couple of times to micro needle it to help it fade faster and absolutely no change. 2-3 months after no change, she then recommended I go and have it removed via laser. Thank God I did my research and spoke to a few other providers, as I was told the WORST thing I could do to white ink was laser it. That it would turn dark and be 100% impossible to remove. I am now almost 9 months since Gina destroyed my eye and the ink did not move at all. I went on to spend $1500 on microneedling with PRP - didn't move the ink, and recently found a camouflage corrector with many man years of experience who said she has absolutely NO IDEA why anyone with any sense would put white ink in skin that is so thin in my under eye. She also told me the ink would NOT fade but over time would turn yellow. I am now attempting Saline removal as it is my last hope. I have to pay $400 per session and it's 4-6 sessions 12 weeks apart. This has ruined my life. I can't hide my under eye and can hardly leave the house because of what Gina has done. On top of not having any idea what she is doing, she has been BEYOND rude from the start. Absolutely no remorse, support, or help. In fact every time I have reached out she acts as if I'm bothering her. She clearly has no skill and uses patients as her lab rats. The location is beautiful but honestly, the doctor is what made the location 5 stars. She was amazing.. very patient, compassionate, and came up with a treatment plan specific to my needs. I've thought of writing a review re: reception before, but held back since my name is tied to Yelp and feared they'd give even less support after they see it, but after my experience today I don't really care anymore. Happy to see the providers again but the reception staff I'll keep my interactions with them to the minimum. Look at Google Reviews in addition to Yelp - Google details more displeasure from reception experiences. 1) I paid my copay in person and the woman forgot to return my card. Sure, I should've checked when she handed me the receipt but didn't think someone would hang onto my card when she's handing a receipt over? Got a call later and had to come back during my work day to get my card before the office closed. 2) While waiting in the lobby, a patient came in late for their appt and wasn't able to be seen. Fair, there are policies in place. But after the patient left, the front desk girls were talking sh*t about the patient in front of not just me but other patients in the lobby. Gross. 3) Apart of my treatment requires accurate logs of my birth control each month before I can get my Rx. Two months in a row, they logged my BC incorrectly and it delayed me from receiving my script. When I called to get it corrected on their end, they were arguing with me that the IUD and Nexplanon are the same thing and I should be able to bypass it - wrong, the website literally would not let me move forward. One BC goes into your arm and the other goes elsewhere. I had to correct them twice over this and it concerned me that the MA I spoke with didn't know the difference when they're supposedly giving care for patients. 3.5) During that call above ^ I was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Hung up on. Called back, placed back on hold, just to speak to another person who answered as if I was a new call. Had to explain why I was calling again, then placed back on hold until finally I spoke to someone after waiting another 10 minutes. 4) Had a telehealth appt. They called me to collect my copay an hr prior to my appt. Didn't answer as I'm working. I called back at 11:30 (time of my appt) to pay the copay when the automated message said to call back during business hours, even though it states "closed for lunch from 12-1:30pm." I called again at 1:35pm cause I never got a call from the provider. Come to learn they marked me as "No call No Show" since I didn't pay my copay, Dr was gone for the day, couldn't be seen. Weird, cause I called at my appointment time to pay and was waiting for the appointment. I've never informed of the policy that I need to pay a copay prior to the appt or risk losing the appointment, since they still call you after the teleappt happens. Weird again, as if you go for an in-person appointment - you pay your copay AFTER you're seen. Why are you shutting your phones and taking your lunches 15minutes early when you have patients waiting to be seen? Why not another courtesy call before marking someone as NCNS? Maybe let's inform patients to pay their copay for telehealth appointments before the actual appointment or else they won't be seen?
