Her studio is very warm, she sets a great tone, and asks about your skin and any concerns prior to the treatment. I don't know how much went on during my treatment, because it was so relaxing that I would fall asleep, wake up, then fall asleep again. All I know is that by the end of the 60+ minute treatment, my skin was glowing and felt so clean and refreshed. And my partner who can be quite picky about treatments like this, loved his facial too. I messaged through Yelp and got a response within 20 minutes which was great. I was a few minutes late to my appointment, but wasn't a problem. I was in and out in 1 hour, 15 minutes including signing the waiver and sitting in me in the lobby a few minutes which is amazing because I've stayed as long 2 hours at other spots. Josie was AWESOME and I LOVE MY EYELASHES. I would gladly come back to get my lashes done again without a Groupon and/or filled. Definitely recommend!

I searched for an open, safe environment once I was vaccinated and found myself back at Shear Beauty. I was amazed at the extreme measures they have taken to assure the safety of their patrons. I was equally pleased that Nora was still working as a hairdresser as well as Cassandra Skin Care still operating inside. Appointments are made by telephone and masked patrons may not enter until their specific appointment time. While I'm not familiar with all the working cosmetologists I did see that there was another patron very pleased with her manicure In progress. Nora was able to give me an excellent cut working with what was initially a disaster and with separate appointment, Cassandra (Cassandra Skin Care) did a fabulous job on these old squirrelly brows! I wanted something red and brown but nothing too crazy. I wanted my hair too look like one color in low lighting, but some different out or with more lighting. I wasn't sure if I wanted red highlights with brown or vise versa. I already had some color and highlights on my hair so it was suggested that would still be able to get the look by mixing the two colors I wanted. She was right and it came out great! :) I love how I can see the pop of colors when I'm out during the day. :) I almost forgot to mention who I met with. Hair stylist Madonna - great customer service and very helpful with my color suggestions. The rest of the staff were also very nice and inviting. The salon has made some upgrades from the last time I was there and it's looking really nice! More upgrades to come and I'm really looking forward to it. I recommend this salon. It's nice, the price is right, and plenty of parking spaces. :)

I should have known it wasn't the right place for me as soon as I texted Jamie for an appointment…read moreat around 3pm on a Saturday. I received a message stating her work hours and to "Please respect my business hours and do not text or call me after hours." Funny because just one day prior to my appointment I got a text from her telling me she was getting over a cold and she needed to reschedule me for Thur at 2pm." Guess we have to "respect" her texting hours but she doesn't respect your time. I had to switch my schedule around. Yes if you were still getting over a cold, you knew you were sick and could have used a mask OR given more than 1 day notice. Alright, made it to my appointment. Nothing feels more welcoming then arriving and being told that you are not allowed to have your phone while she does your manicure because she "needed to concentrate." I was like, "so am I not able to use my phone for an hour?" Jamie told me that she doesn't allow it so she can focus. Uhm ok, my phone shouldn't distract you. So I had the option of staring at the top of her head or look outside at the FedEx truck, I chose to look outside. Jamie tried to make small-talk asking if I had a manicure prior and blah blah. Really I wasn't interested in chit-chat. Anyway, thank God for my bestie who was in the neighborhood and came to see me! Things got real uncomfortable at the end when I told my bestie that she did a good job I just wasn't happy with the color selection. Jamie looked mad and said.."for being independent I don't have many colors? I've only been doing this for a year." I told her that I would rather say the truth and say NO, the selection is very limited. She has like 12-14 basic colors and 10 that she charges extra for because they have some type of "design." So no, showing me one ring of colors compared to many places that set out 5 + rings is nothing. To top it all off after 2 days my nails look dull and my gels already have a chip and my cuticles are jagged:/ (picture included). Jamie didn't use any cuticle oil, no lotion or hand massage. I'm very unhappy, but best of luck sorry it didn't work out. I still like the salon and have been to Sharon. She is super sweet. My mom and sister like her too! She has a lot of gels and a bunch of new colors that she showed me last time. She never makes you put your phone away and if you text or call her, she will get back to you quickly with her availability. Make sure you ask for Sharon. :)

Needless to say I am absolutely happy with the work Sharon did. She paid great attention to detail and even helped fix a few nails that were starting to split. She went above and beyond to help me and was such a pleasure to chat with the whole time. The manicure itself was perfectly done, paint went all the way from edge to edge with no missing spots, the shape turned out perfectly and for the first time in a long time I didn't have to fix anything when I got home! The whole place was charming, welcoming, inviting and all around fun to be in! My interactions with the other ladies were pleasant as well. It's not the type of place where the other technicians shoot dirty looks your way. This really is a place you can call your home away from home!
