My daughter and I were in town for a volleyball tournament and wanted some pampering. We called and were able to get in for two pedicures within an hour. But these weren't your typical pedicures. Both Darlene and Hoang were amazing. They took their time, both very sweet and really helped my daughter and I relax. I've never had a pedicure like this. Their attention to detail was top notch. Not like other nail places that get you in and out as fast as they can. This was a true, experienced, clean, pedicure. They have faster pedicures too, but we weren't in a rush. I wasn't going to write a review about this place, but as an elite all star Yelper, I feel I must. I normally dislike giving poor reviews. But I will at least give a two star because they were able to accommodate me last minute, the place was bright and clean, and they use products I use. Only reason why I'm not giving more stars is because just to shampoo, blow dry, and flat iron, it cost 70.00, and I gave a 20.00 tip because I give large tips to all my stylist because I used to be in the industry. And I'm not complaining about the price as much as the service itself even though I tipped big. The gal shampooed fast, like she was in a hurry, water splashed all over my face. I was hoping it would be relaxing because I had an early flight and exhausted. Then she blow dry, style and that's it. Quick and easy. All the gals who do my hair up here in Seattle. When they wash they wash twice, then when they condition they massage my scalp, neck and take their time. Then take their time to blow dry and style making sure my hair shine all for 30.00 plus I give them a big tip also. I'm staying at the Hilton again for a convention. The woman on the phone spent some time selling me on fast/quick dry polish as opposed to the standard gel I get. She told me it stayed just as long but wasn't quite as shiny as the gel. I decided to give it a try. Within 2 days, there was no polish on 1.5 of my toe nails. I wrote an email and attached a picture - no response. I called the next day but they weren't open and I left a message referencing my email and asking for a call back - no call back the next day - no call back the next day. I called again when they were open and spoke to Becca told her the story. She was apparently providing someones' services but promised me a call back by the end of the day - no call back. Sam got me in for a 60m facial AND hair wash with less than 24hr notice. Not only was she the sweetest, but exceptionally knowledgeable! She listened to all of my skin concerns and made awesome suggestions without trying to oversell me products I didn't want or need. She checked on pressure, temperature, and comfort consistently and was so accommodating that she offered me a foot massage since she knew I was originally looking for a massage. And let me tell you... my skin is glowing and feels like a baby's butt! The salon itself is beautiful but a tiny bit intimidating for a simple girl like me. It's clean, bright, and very profesh. Guess I'm not the only one with chipped nails after getting my nails done here... and the worst part is that I got gel nails... also, Tina who was the one who took off my previous nail extensions was super rough and ground off a lot of my natural nails which really upset me. Both Auntie Phan & Madi were meticulous with caring for my dry hands and feet. I was looking for a salon that offered non-toxic nail polish products like Dazzle Dry. I was surprised that LA did not have many spas or nail salons that offered Dazzle Dry mani pedis. So glad that Pure Escape did and although it is pricier than back East, their services were worth it. Mixed review- was overcharged for a simple manicure and after a day and a half the paint chipped so bad- I'm upset I even wasted my money. Made an appointment for a RGULAR MANICURE- we made it very clear we wanted a regular manicure, it was $35. Came to the appointment. The girl was very nice, super super nice and did a great job. At one point she was doing an exfoliating scrub on my arms- she didn't ask if I wanted it, I assumed it was included, it was nice. Then she stared to paint my nails. She told me the color I chose wasn't going to cover my nails all the way though, I have a prominent white tip on my natural nail. Instead of adding more coats, she told me I should choose a different color. So my sister picked a darker color. It still barely covered my nails, but it was darker so it was fine (she could have done another coat- I don't understand- and it was cheap thin polish). When I go to pay, she tells me $45. I was super confused, I asked, I thought it was $35?? She said no, $45. The menu book said regular manicure $35, and "hand ritual" $45. I didn't ask for anything fancy, she didn't ask me if I wanted a "hand ritual" (which- if a 5 minute rub with exfoliater is a ritual- wow- misleading). I didn't argue, I just paid and left. Would have been fine- but this was on Saturday morning. By Monday afternoon, my nails are all chipped. I literally went to Disneyland, came home, worked on my computer a bit, cooked dinner, showered, nothing crazy or hand-strenuous, and my nails are chipped to crap!! This is with me NOT scraping or picking off further than what came off on its own. Biggest waste of money ever, which maybe if I wasn't overcharged wouldn't suck so much. I didn't have time to schedule a mani/pedi prior to heading out for vacation so I was elated to find out that Pure Escape Beauty Bar was in the lobby of the hotel (Hilton Anaheim) I was staying in. I called around 11 am and asked if they had time to squeeze in a man/pedi and they were able to get me in. Linda was great and worked on my mani and pedi. It was incredibly relaxing and all I needed to recharge during my vacation. I love their selection of nail colors and the place is clean, beautiful. I started getting my wax services back in March from Rebecca. I messaged and called so many places and she was the only one to respond. She is amazing! I love her so much. She has the most outgoing and fun personality. You start to forget you're there to get your hairs pulled out haha. I started going to her when she was in the phenix suite in amerige. When she told me that her business opened back up at the Anaheim location at the Hilton hotel, not gonna lie.. i was a bit sad it was going to take me an extra 15 minutes. HOWEVER!! It's so worth it. Balayage with color melts!! So happy to see more beauty options from pure escape! I am so happy with the result that I got from here. I had a rose gold balayage done last year and was completely faded out and left with this brassy hair for the longest time, and finally I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to try out their hair coloring service here. I have came here few times for gel nails and I really like the cleaniess and the ambience here. And I am very surprised that they have equally great hair products here. They used high quality hair products here from Aveda, which I also bought shampoo and conditioner from here in the end. And I really like their products used for both hair coloring and caring. For hair coloring, it is also from Aveda. And I was lucky to have the color specialist From Aveda there during my visit. He took only one look of the picture of the hair color that i wanted to have done and have it start blending my highlights and know my exact color mix. The whole process include the bleaching took about 4 hours. And it came out exactly what i wanted. Compared to my last salon visit ( which i was told to go bleach it in 2 visit, with 5 to 6 hours of work each visit and have the color faded out in literally 2 wash), i really couldn't be happier with the result. With the Aveda hair care products i bought, it held my color for about maybe 10 or more washes? I again did a fashion color with a silver tone purple -blue color, and i expect it to be washed off in 2 wash again. It actually lasted for about 2- 3 weeks! In which i washed my hair every other to every 2 days. And it left with a nice ashy tone even with the color wash out. I have tried many different products, like nexxus, different type of argon oil base shampoo and conditioner, or lush. I was unhappy how sticky it felt and how it flatten my hair on the crown. But not with Aveda, it kept my hair strong and soft even after the bleaching and coloring done here. Most importantly, the color holds up pretty well even with the wash. And thgeir price was quite reasonable , coloring startts around $180 And up. Compared to my last coloring experience with 2 visit, i spent like $400+ and only have the color last last then a week. I am glad that they got the color in one visit with this price. Since they are fairly new with their salon service, it is still considerably easy to make an appointments with a week or 2. Most salon takes like 3 to 4 weeks, some with 2 months in advance booking. So definetly worth giving a shot with hair styling and coloring here. read more

When I called, they told me my appointment was at 11 o'clock for a manicure and pedicure. When I got there no one was there at 11 o'clock. At about 1105 someone finally arrived. They looked at me and said that my appointment was at 11:15. I asked how long a spa pedicure and a spa manicure with last and the receptionist said that it would be about an hour for each I told her I have somewhere to be, is there anyway that they can do it at the same time? She said if I have time I can help out and it will be shorter. I said OK that would be great. My pedicure started after 11:15. It lasted more than two hours that is double the time that the reception quoted me. Meanwhile, said receptionist, went to Starbucks instead of starting my manicure after she finished with another person. When my pedicure was done, I looked for her and told her that I can only do an express manicure because I only have 30 more minutes by this time I missed another appointment. She said to me that we wanted our guests to have a spa experience. Mind you this is the same exact person who said that my pedicure would last an hour. I sat down for my "express manicure" and it lasted another two hours!!! I actually had to tell the lady working on my hands to put the topcoat on because I had to go. I literally felt trapped because I couldn't leave with my nails halfway done and I had an event to go to that night. The lady who was doing my nails seemed very sweet, but just too much time on my cuticles, and she just kept picking at them. So much so that my big toe got infected and I have a ton of hangnails now. I had to go get antibiotic ointment or it could've gotten really bad. For as long as she spent on my hands and feet they aren't even close to perfect. The gel is on the cuticles and there were a ton of bubbles. This was literally the longest and the most disappointing manicure and pedicure I've ever been to. Don't go here unless you have all freaking day. read more

I live locally to this salon and I decided to try them out because they came up on yelp when I searched nail designs. Love that it doesn't smell like chemicals and it's so relaxing here. My first pedicure and manicures were done by Ty. She is sooo sweet and soo good at both manicure and pedicures! She shaped my nails perfectly (I have fat fingers and fat toes, so if they aren't shaped right, they can look a little funny) I was worried my nail design was too complicated but she did it perfectly once I showed her the photo. Loved it so much there, that I ended up buying a membership. The 2nd time, I requested Aneesa because I had heard she was also good at nail design. She also shaped my nails in a way so they looked slimmer and did the nail art that I wanted perfectly. I would highly recommend Ty or Aneesa if you want elaborate nail designs. The only thing is that I noticed my gel starts lifting slightly earlier than it did at regular salons but I'm assuming its because their products are non toxic. No biggie, guess that's the price we pay for organic manicures and pedicures. read more

She took them from square to almond shape and added crystals, matte glitter and even the confetti that melts to a metallic finish. The salon itself is super posh. It is located on the way into the convention center through the Hilton - Anaheim. You can park or valet and they will validate your ticket. They also do hair, waxing and other services. I came in to this salon because of the wide variety of healthier nail options they have. My nails were in serious need of TLC and Anissa (hope that's how it's spelled) nailed every challenge I had for her. I decided to go with their Young nail option of hard gel which is way easier on your nails and looks so amazing. It's NOT acrylic and is more light and thin but totally looks like the real deal! (See my pics) I wanted to do a design for the New Moon that is about to occur and I wanted a galaxy feel mixed with some holographic ombré and marbling with foils.... She nailed it and the tricky new moon design... My only sort of con is how long the whole process took. I sat down at about 2 and didn't leave until after 4pm but hey... when it's quality work... can't really complain. The place is located inside the Hilton and they validate parking so dont sweat that! When I arrive, the girls always offer me a complimentary beverage of my choice. I get manicures regularly and I have to say the service was amazing...the quality is work was perfect. They weren't rushing me out in order to get to the next client. The best part was that it doesn't smell since they only use non-toxic polishes and no acrylics. I've always been weary of going to other places in the past and all the ladies working are wearing masks due to the harsh smells. I also get my brows shaped with Becca. I trust her since she worked at Anastasia Beverly Hills/Nordstrom for many years before starting here. She took her time and didn't over shape my brows so that they would stay looking masculine! Now for the decor, it's beautiful inside. It's bright, clean, and just looks fresh. Things that caught my eye are the marble floors and tile work, custom chairs and furniture, and 2 huge floating double sided mirrors with back lit LED lights...and the manicure bar counters that I've only seen in magazines: white quartz embossed with crocodile leather pattern.
