I had Lauren tan me for my wedding and I would highly recommend her. She talked me through the product they use and we talked about the color I wanted to achieve. The appointment was quick and professional. Lauren is a perfectionist in making sure the client achieves an even and natural tan. I wasn't entirely sure I was dark enough when I left, and Lauren assured me that they offer complimentary touch ups, in case I needed to come back to achieve a different color. Fortunately, I had a little more developing to do and a few hours later I was the perfect shade, no touch up needed. I will say about the tan itself - it was perfect for an event, however, I did not get anywhere near the length out of it as some people have said they have. In the salons defense, I did leave immediately for a vacation and I am well aware that chlorine, ocean water and sunscreen are not a friend of faux tans. I expected it to only last a few days so I wasn't disappointed however, do know that the people quoting a tan that lasts 7-10 days are speaking to more of an every day wear and tear, not from vacation wear and tear. read more

I got a spray tan at pure glow in May before going away with friends. Unfortunately 1 day after my spray tan, a chunk of the tan peeled off of the entire length of one of my shins. This was quite embarrassing and also limited my outfit choices. I contacted pure glow with a photo of my leg and let them know about my situation, and was given some push back about "wearing lotion the day of the tan." (I put the lotion on about 8-10 hours before the spray tan and I have never had a problem with lotion after this many hours with past spray tans). I had asked if Pure glow could give me some sort of refund or re-spray but they declined and instead offered me a face-only spray tan. I was very disappointed with this service and I would definitely not recommend pure glow to a friend. read more

I got stuck in traffic, arrived 10 minutes late and then waited for 5 minutes for the receptionist to take me in when she informed I was too late for my appointment and it would be canceled. No option to try and squeeze me in at another time and no refund. I was told I received a confirmation email and reminder, and I received neither of emails that would have reminded me of this rule when I made this apt weeks ago. No wiggle room for everyday problems to keep a potential client happy. This would have been nice to have a consistent place to go as I'm new to this city and was talking about it to my co-workers all day. She tried to make me happy in having my try them again at no charge and gave me a refund on first experience. This was the most disappointing experience with a company I have had since becoming a mom nine months ago and really one of the rudest and least compassionate vendor experiences I have EVER had. I never write negative reviews as I am in the customer service industry as well, but feel so compelled to after just speaking with Lauren the owner on the phone. My 9 month old baby had a 100 degree temp and I had to take him to the hospital and gave the company 5 hours notice... she refused to cancel my appointment or give even a credit for the $75. Her main reason being that it could get around to other customers that she made an exception. It's not about the money at all to me it's about wanting to go to a company that always WOULD understand when a client is in a distressful situation. That is the kind of business I want to support, not one that is so rude and truly disrespectful to new moms. Pure Glow is literally the BEST spray tan I have ever had. Admitedly I am a spray tan junkie (especially in these long winters!) I have tried them all. Pure Glow is hands down the best! Lauren will come right to my home or work and the entire process takes about 10 minutes. I am very allergic to many face and body products and have had no reaction to Pure Glow (and I get spray tanned every week--told you I was a spray tan junkie). Wow!! Wish I could give Pure Glow more stars. As a total spray tanning veteran (been getting booth spray tans and airbrush tans for over 12 years now) I can say without question this tanning company is TOP NOTCH!!! Lauren, sprayed my mom before her wedding... The color was so incredibly even and natural golden brown. I had to get tanned myself!! Luckily Lauren was kind enough to squeeze me in last minute. She came over to the house, set up in the shower, gave me a consultation about what color would satisfy my needs, and walked me through the process. I'm familiar with the steps but so appreciated Lauren taking her time to be communicative and sweet. Ladies and gents, make sure you shower and exfoliate before getting sprayed! And don't put lotion on. The solution needs to absorb into the skin. The color is glorious!! Pure Glow clearly mastered the solution, even as can be. And the color can be customized to be a light barely noticeable glow or a just off the beach deep tan. I look 15 lbs lighter and will feel so much more confident in my dress. If you've wanted to try spray tanning, don't hesitate. You won't be orange or streaky. You'll be beautiful and have a heathy glow and cellulite will be invisible! For sure go with Pure Glow. Not that impressed, which is unfortunate given the good reviews for this facility. Felt very rushed the entire time I was here. Came in on a hot day and was a little sweaty. The person spray tanning me explained the process quickly, and I was given only 1-2 min to undress and prepare. While she was spraying me there was still an area with beads of sweat on me, after she sprayed that area she noticed and commented that she hadn't noticed that before she started spraying. She was apologetic, but the tan here ended up being extremely uneven and blotchy. After the tan was finished I was told I could get dressed, and was given no time to let the tan set a bit and dry as I have at other facilities. Tan ended up being very uneven, my back was very light and my front was much darker . Ended up having to do a lemon and baking soda scrub on my face and the entire front of my body next morning to try and even things out. For the price they charge here, I would expect a much higher end and professional experience. Better off saving your money and going elsewhere. read more

I have tried MANY spray tans coast to coast for many years. Pure Glow is by far my favorite. My skin doesn't breakout, they customize the color perfectly to your skin-tone and it lasts for a full week at minimum. I had gotten a spray on a Tuesday night and spent all week walking in the heat in NOLA for hours a day and my chest didn't start to break up until that Saturday, which for girls with larger chests, you know that plus the heat is a no go for any spray. The fact that it lasted that long in that much heat was amazing. The rest of my body lasted well over a week. It drys super fast and doesn't smell. My schedule is insane and I never know what city I will be in, so they also offer a mobile option where they can come to your house! I used it when I was in a jam and needed to quickly get it done, pack then make a flight. I am very very picky about spray tans as I was spoiled by my go to spot in CA and I haven't been able to find something just as good until now! Highly recommend. read more

This was my first time ever getting a spray tan and I could not be happier. The studio is clean and Lauren locked the door too so your stuff is secure. It's actually a very relaxing process and feels great when she essentially spray paints your body. Then she looks you over to make sure you are even and touches up if necessary. I have psoriases on certain parts of my body and since this mixture is aloe based I think it actually helped it a little, it is even where the rash is and looks better. In general my skin feels smooth and looks tan. It's march and I'm a pale, unsunned body right now but I walked out looking like I had been sitting in the sun for several days, just perfect, not orange or burned or too dark. She gives you your choice of darkness. Also, I put on all my clothes, socks, boots directly after and walked home and took everything off to check and I was fine, no smudging or anything. There is an ever so slight scent like there would be with a tan towel or a lotion but it goes away. I waited until the next day to take a shower to let the tan enhance a little, and it did. First time ever spray tanned by an actual human. A rather humbling experience to say the least (some of the poses you must get in are definitely not the most flattering) but the girls are professional and make you feel as comfortable as possible. (Altho it's very loud so sometimes hard to hear the instructions). They have disposable underwear but you can also wear as much as you want if you so choose. You pick between 3 levels of colors at first but then they can tailor it to you as they are spraying (I am fair with dark brown hair and eyes and got slightly above the medium level-looked great like was just off a beach holiday). I bought their after-tan lotion and would say tan lasts for a little less than a week. (Sadly face fades first-but they have some spray you can buy to extend that as well, haven't tried that yet tho) A little pricey but well-worth it for an event or a short mini-break (have NOT tried swimming with it yet tho, not sure how that would work). I recently got a spray tan from Pure Glow, Organic Sunless Tanning and was extremely happy with the results for several reasons. Not only is the product of the highest quality but the service is also outstanding. Lauren, the owner is a true professional and an expert in her craft. She makes you feel very comfortable and even teaches you about the process and the benefits of this product both before and during the appointment. Lauren came to my home with all equipment and was able to quickly set up and breakdown with no mess or even any indication that this occurred. The spray tan lasted for eight days and faded naturally to the point where it was not noticeable and there were no sign of uneven coloring at all. Furthermore, I found that while I had the spray tan my skin actually felt smoother and softer than normal. Lauren had informed me that one of the ingredients in the product was aloe and that all of the ingredients were organic and non toxic which made me feel very comfortable especially because I have very sensitive skin. I was extremely happy with the way it looked and thought that it looked very natural. I was so pleased with the experience and with how my spray tan looked that I scheduled my second appointment for an upcoming event that I am attending next month. I would recommend this specialty service to anyone!
