They take the time to correct your form, which I truly appreciate because form always comes first (weights second!). I've also taken classes with Jason, Erin, and Masha, and had great experiences with each of them. One thing I love is that every instructor offers options--light, medium, or more advanced "spicy" variations--so you can tailor each workout to your level. I can confidently say: book a class--you won't be disappointed. Bonus: the community here is incredible. People are genuinely friendly--I've made a few friends just from attending different classes, which says a lot about the atmosphere at PowerCore.

First off, it's an amazing workout, so much fun, and there are no restrictions in body size when doing this style of dance. it's actually encouraged if you have a little extra somethin somethin to you. You use muscles you never knew you had, it's upbeat, and who doesn't love shaking their booty. Tonight we even had a live Darbuka (arabic drum) player. It was fantastic. Margallete Yosef is the teacher. She is one of the most incredible bellydancers I have seen in America. I love that belly dance teaches us that we are all perfect in our own way. t's more than fitness and fancy costumes. It is a path to wholeness. It develops our individuality within a creative social community. The movements are metaphors for healthy living. Our life, like belly dance, is full of circles and cycles, waves that come and go, and the occasional shimmy/shake-up. Belly dance differs from other dance forms because there are no limitations on body type or age. It is based on a sisterhood of support and encouragement. Once you have belly danced I truly believe that it resides in you forever. It is a lifetime study and you can never know or master it all. In terms of the actual studio, I believe it's normally used as a gym for personal training and pilates. The gym has different machines, including treadmilles, elliptical, stairs, free weights, the pulling bands, abs ball, and even a mini trampaline. There's a seperate dance room where we dance. Full mirrors and hardwood floor. I believe you can also rent this studio. I'm not sure the cost but if you are a dance teacher or personal trainer and need a studio, this place should be a place to be looked at.

"Body By Paulo" is such a great find, and has been such an amazing blessing in my life! I would…read morehighly recommend this studio to anyone! I have been exercising regularly for more than 35 years, and have been practicing Pilates for 13 years. I did Pilates for 12 years at a health club in the San Fernando Valley, and have been doing Pilates and Barre Class with Paulo at "Body By Paulo" since July 2016. I can honestly say that my one year of Pilates Classes and Barre Classes with Paolo has far surpassed the entire 12 years of Pilates I did elsewhere! Paulo, who owns and operates this wonderful studio, is very knowledgeable and experienced at instructing both Pilates and Barre. He custom designs and facilitates every class uniquely, and is an expert at what seems like a million different ways of using the Reformer and the various Pilates and Barre props we use. He carefully orchestrates the choreography of each and every exercise, and he gives individualized attention by setting up and checking every student for correctness of position and execution, even when all eight beds are occupied. To keep it fresh and interesting, he changes the choreography of each class on a weekly basis. And, to top it off, he always plays wonderful music that is very motivating. Paulo is absolutely amazing, and has helped me so much! When I started with Paulo, my strength had been reduced pretty significantly due to a year off from regular exercise leading up to, and then as a result of, my hip replacement surgery. The kindness and patience Paulo had with me during my post-hip-replacement recovery was extraordinary! In addition to Paulo always making sure that everyone in class was positioned right and doing their exercises correctly like he normally does, he always took extra special care to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly at all times, and he constantly monitored and corrected my posture, as needed. He was also very supportive, uplifting, and encouraging. As a result of my consistent hard work and Paolo's amazing help, I got back to where I had been before the surgery when I had been working out on a regular basis, and at this point, I have honestly even exceeded it. I'm very grateful. I happen to enjoy a clean environment, so I'm happy to report that the beds at "Body By Paulo" are sanitized after every class by each student, and are also cleaned on a regular basis by Paolo's staff. The cost of Paulo's classes is reasonable and affordable, and parking is ample and free. If you're looking for a great exercise studio for Pilates and Barre Classes, with an expert instructor who also genuinely cares, then look no further, because "Body By Paulo" should be your first choice! Highly, highly recommend!

I like that different types of weights are incorporated (balance bar, ankle weights, dumbbells) for different workouts. I've attended two classes so far- one regular and one heated mat class. Both were great, and while challenging, I was able to modify and still keep up. Classes are always full, I was surprised how almost every single mat is taken at the start of class. The studio is nice and clean, there are small sweat towels at the front desk and you can rent mat towels for heated classes for $3 if you forget to bring your own. Overall, I really like this place and look forward to incorporating it into my fitness routine.

The room is small and the classes are generally full. You can take heated and non-heated classes. If taking a heated class, if you station yourself closer to the entrance door it a little less hot. They guide you through the exercises and keep it positive. The studio has lots of time slots available and the pricing is fair compared to other studios. Now to the CONS The studio is dirty. I've only gone twice and both times it's back to back classes so the studio doesn't get cleaned in between. Both times, I saw lots of hair on the floor, my mat, in the reformer and just lots of other crumbs and boogers, whatever else accumulated throughout the day. The class is designed like a circuit and you don't use the reformer the entire time, both times juts one exercise used the machine. It's very strange to be in a Pilates studio and not use the machines more. The equipment (weights, benches,etc) is worn out, cracked, dirty and just needs updating. Overall, I got a great workout regardless and was sweating my brains out so if this stuff is not an issue, you will enjoy the class as everyone else in there is happy to be there and clearly been coming for a while. But for me, I really wanted a reformer class that utilizes the machines for the majority, if not the entirety of the class.
